- It doesn't look like anyone has uploaded a non-extended version of most of the first Dai Gyakuten Saiban soundtrack, so I'll be uploading the entire thing. I hope this doesn't increases the chances of my channel getting taken down, but we'll see.

I love how you can hear objection 2001 in this, this game is great
It really is. The music fits so perfectly well in the time period, but it still keeps many similarities to Ace Attorney...

When this played for Naruhodo while he said to Soseki he'd defend him... honestly, I felt pumped to actually defend him (also me really, really feeling bad for soseki's circumstances) and just... this game's just incredible. Only now got the chance to play it, and I don't regret it in the slightest.
Ever since the revelation of the class trial in PW1, I too have been a sucker for these situations. When you see someone all alone, no one in their corner, no one to believe them, no one who will defend them, how could you not want to help?
Especially since this one.....is personal.
You are not just fighting for Souseki, who is about to become the classic author in Japanese history, but it is also a fight to *defend yourself.*
This case pit you and Souseki against the entire British Empire's racial discrimination against our character, the Japanese.
It is the one chance to punch those chips eating racist and tell them to not underestimate you.

I think this music ultimately turned to be one of my favorites when Ryunosuke reminds himself of his entire journey at the end of 2. Really felt amazing listening back to this
this was so satisfying to listen to, while you're opposing jurors on the second trial, which was a first serious case for Naruhodou
I decided to analyse the first trial of dai gyakuten saiban so I could understand Japanese better. Little did I know I would find my favourite attorney in the series.
How'd that go for you? I was thinking about doing that myself!

As for someone who just started the duology and has finally reached 1-5, I’ve always loved this being the Investigation End Theme. After 3 prologue cases, Ryunosoke is more than ready to stand in court to find the truth.
When I hear this theme, I just picture Ryonosuke smiling while holding the katana at Van Zieks as he states his arguments.
It's so badass, so epic! My favorite song in the game.

i personally like them both equally but i feel what you mean, since this one is a "prelude" you can feel how much weight is behind naruhodo's entrance into the legal world and i think it does a better job of feeling impactful bc of that

Well do I have news for you buddy, the guy who worked on music for PL vs PW also worked on the music for DGS.
@@harleyhuskey is it weird that the artstyle of that crossover also gave Phoenix the right amount of -nosuke in his look? Did they use same artstyle for DGS or no?
DGS was made using the EXACT same engine from Layton vs Pheonix.
In fact, most of the developer from that game actually return to collaborate for DGS development.
To be honest, this fits Ryuu's Closing Argument deductions better. It really does complete the puzzle that the team was solving.
