im literally a college student studying interior design and idk why im so obsessed w these teacher set up. videos
I felt this. I just graduated nursing school but im living my childhood dreams of being a teacher through these videos lol
lol. I am a freshman in college studying music I donât know why Iâm here but Iâm enjoying it lol
A tip, if you have those extra books keep them in storage. Books go missing for various reasons or they get destroyed. So when some disappear put in those new ones that way you will always have a good stack!
I havenât watched the other setup videos but I think adding bins to the top of the library shelf would help with the book overload âșïž
Obsessed with how open and spacious your room is! I LOVE it! Just finished my classroom set videos, its so rewarding to look back on how much progress is made!
Youâve got it! Advice from a fellow first-year teacher, focus on one big project at a time. It also drives me insane not to get everything done at the same time, but reality is that will never happen! What I usually do is before I leave each day, organize my classroom to a certain extent so that when I come in the next day, I donât have a big mess everywhere! Good luck friendđ
Thank you so much Kelsey! I definitely need to keep reminding myself that it wonât get done in a day đđŒ Iâm definitely going to try that tip!!đ
Youâre classroom looks so good so far! I love that you have so much lighting and windows in your classroom. I learned a new technique with how you layered the borders, itâs cool. You got this!
Thank you so much! Iâm so glad đđ
she seems like a super nice and understanding teacher!
For that empty spot if you want a good idea is when school starts with your class you can ask them for rules and thoughts about the class and make a class mission statement
Itâs so funny how being a type a teacher is just doing something, being irked by its imperfection, and just having to deal w it. đđ
I am so excited to see more!! Everything looks great!!đ
Classroom set-up is so fun!!
You have so much storage space for your things! I wish we had more cabinets and closet space for our things. I love your room!
Itâs looking so good already!! I LOVE how that bulletin board turned out!!đ€©đ
Thank you so much love! đ„°
I love the little plastic sleeve lables you used on your clear bins.
Yay! This is so exciting! I canât wait to see how your classroom turns out! đ
Thank you so much love! đ
So jealous of your library. I have such a tiny corner in mine Iâve been trying to figure out how to make it stand out.
Add some border or a banner to the bottom of your pocket chart to hide that itâs crooked! Or even add it all the way around if it doesnât look right to just have it at the bottom. đ Iâm super excited to see the rest of classroom set up!
So exciting!!!
This was so exciting to watch! I can't wait to see how your classroom turns out. It's getting me more and more excited to start setting mine up!! Can't wait for day 2 âš #5thgradesquad

I haven't watched the other videos yet to see if you found a solution, but you could put the bins on top of the shelves instead! It would greatly increase your library space.
Yay!! Iâm so glad you got to see your classroom!!!
Thank you! đ
Hailey Teaches youâre welcome!
here is a tip for your desk you should get a little small one and if you have like a hour before you have to teach you can but the stuff you need on that little small desk so when it's time your not rushing to get the stuff you need.
I love layout of your classroom!
Thank you, I love it toođ€©
Oooh so cute! Love your color scheme!

Loving your intro and classroom set up.
Thank you!âșïž
Whoo! Good job girl its looking so good so far! đ€©
Thanks girl!đ„°
Love it! đâš
Thanks Lena!đ
If you put the series bins on the counter above the shelves you could probably fit the rest of your books :)
Thank you!!! I like that idea!!đ
I love that you made the 3 scalloped borders look like they werenât all scalloped! Super cute! Also random comment but your skin is so pretty!
Thank you!đ

Hailey Teaches Thank you so much! I love watching your old college videos because I am doing my room like yours this year!
Aw I absolutely love that!!đ Enjoy every minute!
Are you also purring book Bins on the top of the shelf if your not it might be a good idea so you could have all the books out at once
So exciting!! You're lucky you're able to set up some of your classroom! I won't be able to do that for the start of the year but I'm at least excited I will have books to read to my kids during distance learning.
I am definitely so grateful Iâm able to set up!đ I hope you have an amazing start to the year!
@@HaileyTeaches Thank you,you too! :)
Good setup , our carrier is not easy nowadays , Stay connected , Greetings from Egypt
Good luck and Happy Academic new year
You should get one of those magnetic rods for the white board and use binder rings to attach the calendar instead of 4 of the bulldog clips
Great idea, thank you! âșïž
A great start!!! (Also, is there any way to lower the volume of the music? It blasts so I turn down the volume, then you talk and I have to turn up the volume, and back and forth).
That 8 being upside down in the 18 bugs me soooo much its probably just the font but it kills my OCD. XD Room looked great!
Your doing such a great jobđđđ omg the dolly brokeđ you got this thoughđ
Thank you!!âșïž
Using wrapping paper is such a genius idea!!!!!!!!!
Thank you so much! đ„°
Omg, I got so stressed for you missing your Zoom call! Nightmare! Hope it all worked out!!
So exciting !! What state do you teach in??
Wait am I late or is this intro new? I love it! Also canât wait to see the finish product!
Itâs been on a few videos but still really new đđ Thank you so much girl!!
Should move your teacher desk and use the book shelves behind it for your library.
So far I am liking what I see of your classroom I cannot wait to see the rest. Are you going to have a classroom wish list?
Thank you so much! I do have an Amazon classroom wish list linked on my linktree link in the description âșïžđ
If there is paper in the mailboxes will they still be able to see the numbers? If not, you may want to put the numbers on the side or hang off top.
are you going allowed to have a library due to Covid? Love ur classroom btw!
Was the books on the top shelf in some kind of order? I never saw desks shape like that. They look really cool. Can you do part in the vlog where you show you doing your wgu work? I'm thinking about getting my master degree from them.
I am trying to organize the ones that arenât labeled yet âșïž I can definitely include more of WGU into the vlogs!
Where did you get your buckets for the books?
Mailbox Numbers Tip: I made this mistake and thought I'd share with you, if you are sliding things in/out of mailboxes for students your numbers will peel up no matter how you decide to attach them. I'd possibly try hanging them on the side walls of the mailbox (left or right) and they should hold up better for you! Congrats on your job, teaching is so fun, don't base this year on the career itself, COVID is bringing all sorts of new problems to overcome.
Thank you! I will probably move them to the side!!âșïž and for sure đ
I feel horrible that you have to go and teach in an environment like this. I'm glad you keep your spirits up! I will pray that you stay safe. Thank you for everything you do!!â€â€â€
Weâre set to return in person but Iâm thinking we will switch to hybrid or distance learning before September, but who knows!đ thank you đ
Love your bag! What brand and where did you get it?
Linked on my Amazon Storefront!đ„°
Where do you get your music from? It is so calming.
CZcams Audio Library âșïž
my name is Hailey too
I have a question are you doing hybrid/half and half school
Omg so much money for command strips lol but looks good!!
Omg I was watching catfish but forget that! Iâm right on your video!
Thank you so much love! I hope you enjoy đ„°
Hailey Teaches I canât get enough of yours and Ms. Mills in Middle Schoolâs videos!
Oh & Mrs. Campbellâs creators!
I love watching their videos as well! đ
How do you plan on doing your classroom library for COVID? I know some teachers have been saying they are not allowed to even have a classroom library.
We have not heard anything regarding classroom libraries yet, but I will of course follow the precautions âșïž
how did you grow your classroom library so quickly? iâm going into my first year teaching in a fifth grade classroom & am struggling with collecting books
I collected over my 4 years of college! Savers and Buy Nothing Facebook group pages were my favorite cheap/free ways to collect books for my classroom. I also have a video a while back about how to get free books for your classroom! âșïž
This really doesn't matter but after your calender moment I thought I would inform you the 3 in the mail boxes was upside down just in case you didn't know already. Not a big deal to me maybe it's a font thing IDK lol. Stay safe â€
Itâs the font but thanks for looking out for my type A self! đđ
How did you begin you classroom library đ„č
Where did you get such a big collection of library books?
I've been collecting since my freshman year of college! I have a video about getting free/cheap books if you're interested âșïž
I have a question... If u are a teacher then do u have to buy the tables and desks or does the school provide u with some?
The desks are provided! It probably varies by school, but my school was well equipped with teacher tables and desks.
Hello I'm working on getting my GED and I would love to be a teacher as well
First
Never mind it got answered
And yes stickers on products are the worst đ©

Be careful with class jobs and communal items, because of covid they canât/shouldnât be touching a whole lot of things. . Good job so far
Definitely! The students will have individual supplies, and some jobs will definitely be reworked! Thank you âșïž
Hailey Teaches no problem, I go set up my classroom next week and Iâm racking my brain with all the doâs and donât s of what we can do in the classroom đ€Šđœââïž
Is 18 to 20 kids a ususal class size where you live? In my country and federal state, it's usually 25 to 33. It hate that. In my opinion you can't teach effectively with so man pupils in one classroom. Currently I have 26 kids in my 3rd grade.
Iâve been in districts where class sizes go up to 30, it just so happens at my school we have a smaller population and Iâm only expected to have 18 this year. I definitely agree!!
@@HaileyTeaches 18 would be a dream come true.
The number of pupils per classroom is different in each federal state in Germany. For example, in Rhineland Palatinate (where I live), it is 24 pupils. If classes get bigger, they have to be split. I live only about 3 minutes from the border to the next federal state, the state in which I work. The number of pupils allowed in Northrhine-Westphalia is 32, and there is a rule that classes can't be split once they have been formed in 1st grade. So, if you are really unlucky, you get even more than 32 kids in 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade. I started with 22 and now I have 26.
I still consider myself lucky teaching Germany, because as a teacher in Germany you are considered an official (hope that is the right translation, another translation I found is "civil servant" - I don't know which one is correct) and get really well payed, can't be fired, etc.
But I would gladly earn less money in exchange for a healthier, technically reasonally well equipped and enjoyable teaching enviroment. Less kids, better equipment, support of a social worker in every school, support of a special needs teacher in every school. Things we lack!
