Evanescence started a small local band in the SOUTH! The lead vocalist (Amy Lee) was an Arkansas native before going international.

You saw the official video, right? So the guy playing the piano wrote this song about his grandfather. The one everyone confuses this one with is HELLO from the same album (no video just a tragically short song) I think that one was more healing for her to do than this one but the impact is still spot on

The other is breathe no more. Can't explain it. But listen to it. People have been sleeping on it for 20 years and it's perfection.
not in the band, her baby sister was 3 when she passed.. in this song any is a ghost recently passed and is devastated by watching the man she loved tortured by her death and she is powerless to comfort him like she would have when sgr was alive.. she cannot handle the pain... it would be a nightmare for anyone to go through

The live version of Breathe No More by Evanescence is awesome/beautiful too. It wasn't a huge hit as far as I know, but if you check it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed
She wrote this song as a dedication to the loss of her sister after she died. Amy Lee is amazing. She has one of those voices that if you were walking on the street and she was singing you would stop everything you are doing and just stand and listen till the end.

This song isn’t about her sister. Her ex-cofounder of the band (Ben) wrote this song. Was later revealed it was about Ben’s grandfather. ‘Like You’ and ‘Hello’ are about her sister.
False. Ben wrote the words as a fictional short story when he was in high school. When the band formed he brought it and Amy created the piano and vocal melodies and wrote the bridge as well. They both co-wrote on it.
