I run 16ply and have no issues.
Diamond C puts 18 ply tires, standard, on the step deck.
Excellent advice thank you. I did enough research to know to upgrade my tires when I bought my trailer BUT they wanted to trade me all my 10 plys for only (1) 14 ply spare. So i just opted to keep the 10 plys as spares, just to get me down the road to the nearest tire shop should (when) that happens. But unfortunately I’m going to have to hop those curves in my good shoes 😂🤘

I thought all those trailers would have to have a tyre requirement that means any trees you but must meet a commercial standard regardless of what brand of tyre you buy even the cheep tyres should still be rated for commercial use and in theory should last the same as the expensive tyres.
Not all tires are created equally
Can't buy the cheap ones and expect them to do the same job as the expensive ones.
@@HotshotAdventures If the are rated the same as the expensive ones then they should do the same. Sometimes I think the expensive tyre makes charge more because they can though.

That is so true on ten ply tires they are garbages
seems 10 ply are only for the manufacturer to be able to drive the trailer to the dealership for selling it. Not for commercial. Have to upgrade to 14 ply when buy thw trailer

Just put truck tires they cost money but last me 2 years
Rotate the drives off the truck onto the trailer every fall. Good sharp drives for winter.

Many states do not approve 10 p for commercial purposes. You could get a ticket.
The Goodride (AKA Blowride) tires that Big T puts on their trailers are rated at 3520 Lbs. and this is where the fraud is. Most E rated tires are rated less than 3500 Lbs. and would not be appropriate for a 7K rated axle. My 2020 Big T came with them and at around 36,000 miles (with more than half the tread life remaining) they started separating just like yours did. I replaced them all with Hercules H901's and they have been awesome.

Hello Natalie been watching for awhile. You talked about the PJ still being in the shop. Could you talk alittle about it. I have been looking at new trailers .Ihad heard PJ was one of the better ones and Diaonmd C was up there.
Pj is a great trailer, that's why I bought it. The problem isn't pj, problem is I bought a used trailer and it needed work that I wasn't aware of and I've been chasing things to get them repaired.
In no way do I mean to downplay pj's product, they make a good trailer my dear

My trailer came with 14ply provider tires. They lasted me almost 100k miles. I don’t haul heavy often. So YMMV.
I have 11 trailers with those tires , they are bullet proof I have a purchase and hold deal with discount tire they stock them for me
