A guy with O'Reilly 's kind of money, can't fly first class on Delta, American, United. Jet Blue is a discount airline, you get what you pay for. The guy behind the counter has zero control over anything other than assign a seat, change your flight or check in your baggage. Is like complaining to the ticket person, at the theater because the movie was bad.
Your view about 7 hours of sitting and the airline NOT telling anyone anything? Had you been on that flight, what would have been your breaking point? Forget about O'Reilly.

Today most airlines are nothing more than Grayhound with wings. There are people who get paid the big money, they are the ones who should be the target of O'Reilly & the like anger. This fellow & his co workers have zero control over flight operations.
I am sure by now you are familiar with the Mike Tyson case. Social media has created a culture of folk who will do anything to go viral, including getting their butt beat by Mike Tyson in exchange for a few likes. I understand some people have to fly, I sympathize with them, I don't expect the experience to get any better.

There is a pilot shortage in the U.S. The cost of flight training is astronomical. I am a commercial rated pilot myself. When I got my private pilot license back in 1967, the total cost was only about $1,500.00. The check ride was only $45.00. My grandson had to pay $12,500.00 for the training and his check ride was $750.00. After you get the rating, to rent a decent small plane to build hours on will cost a minimum of $145.00 per hour. And some places require that you purchase insurance. Most people can not afford pilot training or even to rent an airplane. Airlines will not hire you as a pilot unless you have thousands of flight hours, jet engine experience, plus an ATP rating. The cost to acquire all of that experience will cost well over one hundred thousand dollars. Most airline pilots came out of the military. But many want to stay in the military for the security.
@@booniebuster4193 Yep. I got my private license, but it was insanely expensive. When it came time to think about continuing on to commercial, I was looking at a helluva lot of debt. It just wasn't for me. They really need to give out scholarships and promote becoming a pilot more.

Never a pleasant thing when a plane gets delayed or cancelled but it happens for passengers’s safety concerns. It is a natural happening in any airport. First time taking a flight? Nah i don’t think so. Hard to manage anger? Meditate. Ego and success make you looking down on hourly pay workers? Remember where you began.
That's why you don't wait until the last minute, in case something happens. Funny he digs up these supposed stats AFTER this happens.

I am unaware of any altercations that Bill might have stated in his video above before watching this altercation. What I saw in the original footage is Bill threatening the employee with a misdemeanor after Bill bends down and reads his name from his name tag out loud. Is this considered a threatening move after asking oneself, 'Is it natural in conversation to talk with someone, lean down then call them out by their first name?'

Bottom line: If US commercial airlines continue failing to deliver reliable service, people will simply avoid flying with them. They will drive, take the train, or hire private pilots to fly them. I am perfectly happy to sit out this year and wait for the airlines to get their act together. US airlines need to earn our business or they are no better than the puddle jumpers in a 3rd world country.

The reality is a lot of people on the right railed against regulations, didn't do anything to make going to school affordable. Does he realize how expensive it is to become a pilot? And a lot of trained pilots are in the military. We do have a shortage thanks to our system that doesn't make it conducive for people to become pilots.
