No matter how complicated the roundabouts look from the air, they are very simple to negotiate on the ground. You simply follow the signs that relate to you and ignore everything else. The designers do all the hard work; the driver just follows a single clearly laid out path. In the unlikely event that you miss an exit, you simply drive around until you reach it again, a few seconds delay at most. The greatest obstacle Americans have is overcoming the fear that it is complicated, it is very simple in reality.

I don't get it.... Eating rubbish (fastfood) when you drive is doubly dangerous to your health squared next to the distraction from traffic and the others who are all not looking at the road but at your phones or what to eat or whatever do.
take a seat and enjoy your meal - it is esential for your life.
do you eat when you are in the shower?

It is, in fact, allowed to be eating while driving in Germany. If eating distracts you, it's verboten. Foods that require both hands are also not allowed. You can drink beer while driving, as long as your blood alcohol level stays below 0.05%. But even below that level, if you get into an accident, you might be partly liable. Hey, those 4 Leaf Clover Highway intersections are awesome actually. They are in a way the Roundabouts of Highway construction. Just think about it, you can follow the loops around indefinitely if you wanted to and get onto any direction of any highway just by staying in one lane. No hassle with looking for the right lane to get to where you want to go.
Loops are great for keeping traffic flowing. If you miss an exit, you have like whatever Minutes until you can double back and get to the correct lane. If you just have to follow a loop and get off on the right exit you can always just go around and try again almost immediately.

France is the queen of roundabouts, they have 967 per one million inhabitants. For the Spain, the UK and Italy that number between about 400 and 600. The U.S. in contrast has only 73 roundabouts per one million inhabitants.
Using a different measure, the ratio between the total number of intersections and the number of roundabouts, France is still on top with 1 in 81 intersections being a roundabout. In Spain follows closely with 1 in 82, Italy and the British Isles are at about a bit above 100. In the U.S. this number is 1 in 636.

Inside the village there are two mini-roundabouts at T-junctions. All you have to do when you wish to enter a roundabout is give way ('yield') to cars coming from your right, then match your speed to the other cars. It is much safer than the risk of a looney hitting you side on at speed.

You shouldnt be on the road then. If that "clover look" highway is hard to understand - and there's nothing to understand there - just use public transportation.
+ You are not supposed to eat burgers when driving.

8:57 electric cars have instant acceleration therefore faster of the line. Also, it’s not a race and everyone will get their chance to go

I'm French and I'm a new driver. It's not easy at the start but after going in a busy road with roundabouts at every intersection I feel confident with them. i was also scared of not being able to go out when I'm on the left lane but it never happened to me, even when it's busy.

don't stop if there are no cars, just keep going, not to fast, 5-10 mph

It’s the simplest thing on the road. Don’t know what all this is about in America.

Roundabouts are also CHEAPER than traffic lights, and never suffer by failures, broken lamps or power outages

To confuse you even more, a few of our towns have "magic roundabouts" (like Hemel Hempstead and High Wycombe near me) when you have a central roundabout and 6 or more small ones around the edge... still easy enough as long as you get in the right lane!

My big concern with the one in High Wycombe has always been that it’s at the bottom of two facing 10% gradient hills, not the navigation. I still remember the runaway lorry incident

All roundabouts look complicated from the air although mostly simple to use.

Roundabouts compromise traffic flow to give greater safety. in UK, there are also “signalised roundabouts “ which try to give the best of both worlds.(roundabout with stoplights)

traffic lights slow traffic flow FAR more than roundabouts. roundabouts have both faster traffic flow, and less collisions

I will never understand why you get so many problems for a roundabout
