I can’t believe I was able to keep this secret for over 2 months. The look on her face when she finds out she’s flying 9 hours in Upper Class from Orlando to London Heathrow is absolutely priceless!
As you’ll see in the video Virgin Atlantic flight staff went over and beyond to make our Upper Class experience truly amazing. This will definitely be a birthday to remember!

I am a frequent flyer with Virgin. I have been in the Delta Sky lounge in Orlando, it is really nice.
I have never used the revivals lounge. When I get back to England I just grab my bags and head home.
What is really neat for anyone reading this is the experience at Heathrow.
If you are flying upper class, do not get a shuttle bus from your hotel or car park. They will take you to the terminal for sure, but they cannot get up to the Upper Class Wing.
One cab driver missed the turn and he had to go around to get back to it, I insisted.
You are driven up the ramp to the separate check in area. They know that you are coming having spoken with you on the intercom and they will meet you and take your bags.
Weigh them in and you are away. Straight to the security check with a short straight passage, none of the zig zagging with everyone else and taking time. Then you head to the lounge. It has never taken me more than ten minutes from arriving and entering the Virgin Clubhouse.
The Clubhouse is excellent. I always look to spend a couple of hours in there before I head off to board and that time flies by.......
The Upper Class Wing and the Clubhouse are yours if you have paid for your ticket. Enjoy the experience.

I loved Megan’s genuine excitement about this flight. What a great happy dance. My wife an I upgraded our last flight on a Virgin 747 in 2018 to Upper Class for our outward flight from Manchester (UK) to Orlando. The pandemic stopped our travel planned plans since, having trips cancelled in 2020 and 2021. With that disappointment, as a treat, we both booked Outward and Inward flights in Upper Class (sadly not with great savings you made) with Virgin from Manchester again flying on a A330 when we visit Orlando for the whole of April in 2023. This really put me in the mood for that trip now. Sadly Manchester doesn’t have the lounge Heathrow has when we arrive home, but we only live 20 minutes from the airport.
So happy to hear you were able to rebook your trip! April in Orlando is the perfect time to be there. I hope you and your wife love the new upper class, I believe it’s a little different than the 747. Enjoy your flight and your trip! Thanks for watching!

Awesome video, trying to book the exact flight from MCO to LHR for June and the points needed are a lot higher than that right now. Awesome deal you got for sure, I will ride it out as long as possible to see if they come down.

Virgin Upper Class looks awesome with great service from the cabin crew. Definitely a great way to travel for such a special occasion. Great video showing genuine reactions. Now you've had a taste of the high life, you may find it hard to travel in economy again. Haha

You are just lucky to have got the A350 . I have to fly from Manchester to Atlanta and that plane is an A330. Upper Class is much smaller and very cramped. Oh for the Big Beautiful 747 s ! They really were worth the money.
Andrew definitely researched to find an A350 flight. But we’re flying the A330 back to the states, so we’ll have a little comparison.
If you get Bank of America travel rewards, you can get points and use them to travel any airline, any class, or hotel

Is the Virgin Revival’s lounge located near the baggage pick up area at LHR?
It’s after baggage pick up and passport control. You have to go up an elevator, there is a bright yellow sign that says Arrivals Lounges and it’s on the first floor! Enjoy!

Great Video Andrew and fab reaction from Megan. I have been flying VA since 1999, i flew my first Upper Class flight in 2004, i try to fly as much as possible in Upper. Have flown on the 747, A340-400 & 600, A330 & 200, 787, but yet to fly on the A350. I fly in three weeks to Jamaica with my son in Upper but on the 787. The comment from Megan being an anxious flyer, but being in UC seems not to be flying is spot on. There's something about the bigger seat and the lighting and space, that makes it feel so enjoyable, even when you have bad turbulence. Not sure if you made it to Cambridge on your travels? I am flying Manchester to MCO and return upper in April (2024). Only problem I have found is the lounge closes at 8.30pm and we fly at 10pm. 😤
We totally ran into that issue as well when flying to Manchester... It’s normally the later flight out. If it helps, the flight experience is better than the lounge!

Does Virgin in Orlando actually weigh the "carryons"?
They didn’t for upper class. We have flown Virgin economy before and they only weighed our checked bags. I would say it likely depends on the airport you’re flying out of and/or if your carry looks oversized.
