En este recorrido salimos de La Ciudad de Bayamo desde La Terminal Nacional pasando por Babiney, Cauto Cristo, Cacocún al aeropuerto de Holguin disfrutando los huecos de la carretera abandonada por el gobierno dueño de la Isla de Cuba.

An interesting drive on Cuban roads. They are relatively empty. There are a lot of horse-drawn carriages and old cars. Nice airport building. Regards. 😀

Que bueno ver por donde yo pasaba con mis padres en camino de Bayamo a La Habana entre los años 1953 a 1962.......Hace ya 62 años que no voy a Cuba ni voy......Que desastre ver la pobreza y miseria.......Carretones desechos por la Carretera Central construida por el Presidente Machado en los años 1930's.........Y lo bien que hicieron esa carretera con varias capas en su superficie para hacerla durar por generaciones.......Recuerdo ese pueblecito "Cauto Cristo" a pesar de que salí de Cuba de solo ocho años.....Creo que luego viene Babiney antes de llegar a Holguín........Desde niñito me encanta la geografía y gran parte del viaje yo íba parado en la lomita del piso del carro atrás, por donde pasaba la barra de la transmisión para ír viendo el límite de cada provincia.......Cuando aquello eran seis provincias........Donde empezaba Camaguey había unos tinajones ahí pegado a Bartle y como salíamos de Bayamo a las cinco de la mañana desayunabamos en Cascorro........El almuerzo en Santa Clara........Al llegar a La Habana nos hospedabamos en el Hotel Bristol en San Rafael y Amistad......Esas calles de La Habana me las enseñaron luego ya de mayorcito en California en nuestra tienda nuestros clientes cubanos en los años 1970's..........Todo ese viaje era en un " Buick Special " del año 1958 color lilac.........Bello automobil..............Lindos recuerdos......A veces parabamos en Florída, Camaguey en las finquitas de mis abuelos y una tía.........Tenían naranjales y pollos Leghorn de carne......Bellos pollos aquellos...........Abrazos desde Ocala, la Florída, Estados Unidos........Cuba dentro de cientos de años será parte de un nuevo planeta Tierra con otra humanidad.........Espero que sea una sociedad de amor universal y sin religiones, solo amor entre hermanos.
