WOMAN ALLEGEDLY BEATEN BY PSI, TOLD TO LICK BOOTS

A woman has alleged that Colva PSI VibhinavShirodkarbrutally assaulted her and her husband, after their motorcycle collided with a truck at Utorda on June 19. They were assaulted with a baseball bat and the woman was asked to lick the PSIs boots. The incident took place in the jurisdiction of the Verna Police station. The woman’s lawyer Stanley Rodrigues gave the details. Benaulim MLA VenzyViegas met South Goa Superintendent of Police SunitaSawant and demanded that the PSI be immediately suspended. He also said the matter has been reported to Goa Governor.
