It looked almost brand new, and they had to get rid of it because they had to move suddenly. Of course, I inspected it carefully first. Anyone buying used furniture should inspect very closely.
I bought a great quality oak bed frame second hand, and the gentleman I bought it from gave me a used microwave oven for free. Both are still doing great two years later!
favorite used purchase was a riding mower! Cut my time to mow the lawn from 4 hours pushing to 1 hour. Only catch is spending money on maintenance and replacement parts... still cheaper than brand new though!

...and I thought I had it bad - it takes me an hour and a half to mow my half acre property with a push mower. Yours must be twice as large!
