I got teary eyed when I saw Adrienne recording herself using an old cell phone! 🥺 Amazing to have your family there during your labour! 💖 I had a vaginal birth with no meds! Thank you so much for sharing your journey! I relate so much to your birth story. I had my first baby by C-section and felt as if I missed out on something or that I was somehow not as strong as the Moms who had vaginal births. I tried 3 more times to have a VBAC. I labored with no epidural for hours b/c each time I was determined to have that “traditional” experience and each time it didn’t go the way I planned. I am so thankful for all of my babies and that they were born healthy and strong and that I survived with no complications. Despite that it took a while to get to a place where I accepted that even though I didn’t get the traditional experience I should still be proud of my birth experience. I am a warrior Mom just like any Mom who labors and delivers vaginally (not sure if that’s a word😂) and just like any Mom who adopts or uses a surrogate. We are all amazing!

1st time commenting. I just want to say I appreciate you sharing your experience. My 1st birthing experience is so similar, no epi, long labor, and I delivered via C-section. I tried for a VBAC as well, and had to do another emergency C-section. My sentiments were the same as yours. Then my next 2 babies were planned C-sections. EVERY single pregnancy were great, no problems, went over 40 wks. with the 1st 2 and over 39 wks. with the last 2. I have to remind myself when sadness tries to creep in, that I experienced God's precious gifts regardless of my disappointments and plan, and for that, to remember to be thankful always. God's blessings to you and your gift from God (family)

Loved hearing and seeing this story. It’s great to have a supporting partner. You have two beautiful girls 💖💖.
I laughed so hard at the video clip you were having pain n Adrienne is in the back and then she just gave the thumbs up. 😂😂😂 I gave birth to two girls as well that pain girl it’s too much and you had no epidural wow strong mama right there. I tried not taking the epidural my first birth but I couldn’t and made it just in time before the anesthesiologist left. Thank God lol. Second birth I told the doctor right away to get the epidural lol

I also had my baby via c-section and it wasn't by choice. I felt so horrible as well, I didn't feel like i was woman enough, and I wanted to give birth naturally, I was so prepared for it and it just didn't happen. But I couldn't be happier! My son changed my life for the better

OMG Claud and Gerd, I went through the same thing for my 3 baby 24 yrs ago Dr said I might have a Down syndrome baby and also had 3 c- section all 3 where laying across my belly. I was so upset. I cried my husband rushed home from work to be there for me we cried together and prayed. Of course once the test came back my little girl was perfect. Don’t get me wrong we would except whatever God give us. I have a beautiful Down syndrome cousin I love him to death such a loving person. U guys are so amazing. I hope to meet y’all one day. Have a wonderful blessed day❤️

Claude & Gerd, when you both spoke about how your baby had a marker for Downs- I tensed up a little bit because my brother has Downs and I’m used to disability being treated like a liability. But when I heard you both speak with so much love - I burst into tears (I’m still crying rn 😭💕). You both are wonderful parents and I know you would’ve killed it no matter what happened to your kids

I also hate the C-section “shame”, it shouldn’t exist, I think if a mother loves that child, nurture that child, and is there for that child no matter what, that’s a mother, it really doesn’t matter, we have amazing, loving adopted mothers who LOVE their children, and those are the mothers, it doesn’t really matter how, and I hope this “shame” gets lost in the years, but a mother are those who love and stays, birth, C-section,surrogate, adopted. I am so glad you shared that because I would not tolerate (sound very mean, swear is not) seeing a woman walking around thinking that they are less of a woman or a mother, because of how they got their kid. Much love, learning a lot here. Grateful ❤️

Loved this episode ❤️ thank you for trying to normalize c sections. I also had a c section and was embarrassed to tell anyone as people would make you feel less than. I love your channel and all the wonderful stories you all share 🙏much love from South Africa 🇿🇦 ❤️
