Full clipping and distortion...hooked up to a actual sub without clipping or distortion thus only produces around 1600 watts

Trying to decide between this amp and the soundigital sd3000.1. I'm running 3 12" subs with a 2.66 ohm load. Gotta see which amp will give me more power at that load plus with imp rise. Price is similar and so is the size. And throw the Tiffany RCA on the 3000!

Lmao.. it's that price for a reason... I thought the samething. Purchased this exact amp to push one 15 and the sub barely moves. In 15 years of being into car audio I've never been more dissapointed than I am with this
Efficiency was 53% at 2 ohms, 64% at 1.33, and I think it had to pull more that 260 @ 1 ohm other wise it's 88% efficient at 1 ohm which seem way high especially for a full bridge. Thing is a power house though still planning on picking one up at tax time for my two 15's.
The true efficiency doesnt come across correctly in the video. Got a video coming soon to explain in more detail.
good power but, the efficiency is a seesaw, I don't know if the ammeter was not fast enough but I think 1ohm is the sweet spot of these amplifiers , 61%@4ohm, 57% @2ohm , 64% @1.3ohm, 87%@1ohm (certified).

Awesome, the 3k is more than I need, but I find myself wanting the 5 or 8kw!! I'm guessing the 8k should do nearly 9kw! I'm gonna need more subs!! I have always heard you are more likely to blow a sub with a undersize amp than over! Clipping kills! Man doi want one of these, I guess it will be the 3k or 5k, can these amps get any cheaper, back in the day this would be about $3+ grand,

So how does this allow you to daisy chain those inputs, is there a switch to make it a pass though or to allow stereo operation? If not then you're basically putting one input into to another causing the preamp to fight its self...

love the videos, keep them coming. The 1 ohm test seemed to shut off prematurely or was I imagining things??? lets see that test again with one camera on the protect light of the amp and one camera on the dyno. Not trying to debunk your results, just curiosity.
They most certainly don’t go into protect at 1 ohm I have one.

Brazilian amps are known for being extremely powerful how ever its dirty power not clean power. Absolute best boards you can get for clean power are Korean boards. Why you think you wont catch hardly any Brazilian builds in the us the world records are all done on Korea boards.
@@ColdVenom159 Lookin at the inside of those things they almost look industrial, like a power inverter. Not pleasing to the eye. These seem to make power the "cheap" way by operating at insane voltage levels. They must clip really easily which is why i'm not surprised to see the brazillian companies going way out of their way to include dash mounted clip indicators which many dedicated sub amps don't feel the need to ship with.

@@ColdVenom159 im a budget amp fiend, i spend hours looking for deals online. I got a DUAL da6001 on amazon which does almost 1400w for $70(one night sale). I look on the bottom... made in korea.... in 2013 LOL
@@rmblwgn if that dual does a real 1400w which i highly doubt damn good deal. The amp take 3 30 amp fuses which in total is 90amps 90 amps at 13 volts is only 1170.00watts if you are actually able to hold a solid 13 volts at 12 volts it would put out 1080.00watts. next time you have system cranked feel your subs specially your amp if its a bit warm youre clipping it aka you have distortion which hurts your power alot. a properly tuned amp on decent power will hardly get warm. you say youre on stock which im assuming electrical which means you charge at 12 volts so youre only getting 1080.00watts long as you arent clipping the amp. sorry to break it to you man.
Play a complete song at 1 ohm, test out the heat sink build up and heat dissipation. Thats were it will prove it self from the rest. Nice amps. Az summer heat in a trunk is the test.

The only other amp out there thay competes for price and power to this is Orion xtr 2500.1. I already have the xtr. I'm getting this little beast here in a couple weeks. Killer deal.

The sia 3500d could I run it on a 300 amp js alt and stock battery I hold 14.9 volts when no amp is hooked up I'm powering a x15v3 with it

Why the amplifier efficiency is so low for 4ohm and 2ohm tests??

That amp is about 65% efficiency at 1 ohm.....not bad, but that other 35% will be shed as heat through the heatsink. With such a small heatsink, are you confident it can radiate enough of that excess heat to provide reliable play over a long period of time?
This is why I want to get the 8k and run it at 2 ohms on my 2 18s. Stay efficient

I just bought one of these things and I must say. In over 15 years of being into car audio I've never been more disappointed in a piece of car audio equipment than I am with this amp. This amp is a step above junk. One step...literally 1 step
Whats wrong with it? I was considering this one for my 4 8s
1000x better than my last Alpine amp. I’ve literally used it daily @1ohm zero issues and it slams my 2 12s.

@@zachjohnson1 because of the scv3000d. That amp was a deceitful, overpriced POS that barely mustered rated, and they got called out. Jacob popped in and made himself look stupid. Sent another to big d, and was identical. Since then, I don't recommend or run sundown.

Well I was off lol. How much power at 1k hertz? 10k hertz? Since it is full range I bet it makes more power at higher frequencies.
I just wished that if these amps require a dual 1/0 input that they would have designed it with dual inputs like Orion did on their 3000 watt amp.

I finally got my SFB 3000D hooked up on my Fi xv3 12s, and only at 1/4 gain to wait till my breaking period, and this thing is sick. The custom box is tuned to 40hz. My 2018 GX 460 SUV is loving the power. Damn thing doesn't even rattle. NOTHING Rattles!! Only had to put a couple pieces of weather stripping on the plate, but that is it. Box has about 2.1 cu ft per sub, with the subs inverted in a V config. Can't wait till the break in period is over and subs get to really moving! So far, I'm impressed.

There has to be. They wouldn't release an amp like this without a LPF.
When is the sundown sfb 5000d comes out
20yrs ago if I saw an amp this size and it said 3000 watts I would expect it to put out around 30-40 watts and have an IC amp chip lol

It is a full-bridge amp like those, yes.

The x series pair well with about 2000 watts rated power a piece.
As you know there are many factors at play. Efficiency and impedance usually result in subs handling certain frequencies much better in terms of durability for a given output level. Box design determines this a lot. In general 1500 watts will get you a nice safe zone. But 2000 or more gives headroom to account for dynamic music and practical input voltage under load. You will have a little extra juice if you want to bump a song or two extra loud or do a burp to impress. Mechanically these subs are very rugged and have no problem handling over rated for short duration. I think you would be happy with 1500 a piece. The 15 offers good efficiency. But 2000 is recommended.

The RCA’s are confusing me, I just installed an sfb-1000, and there were only 2 rca port, one labeled input and the other output, so I bought I y splitter to attach left and right into one port, how come in the video here u aren’t using a splitter??

All tests were done at 40hz. Output numbers are the same at the higher frequencies like 500hz and 1khz.
