Why is Johnny drinking in every episode, a bit overkill to his character guys.
Spoke to soon my bad. Great episode !

Daniel, stop spamming on Johnny's channel!
"Just because u live in a nice house doesn't mean there's nice things going on inside" Damn truth right there.
That's true and vice versa

@@MohammadAliKhalil I am in sort of agreement with this
It's really interesting how Miyagi and Cobra Kai both serve the same purpose but for two different demographics:
Miyagi's style teaches people with too much chaos and anger to become responsible and calm
Cobra Kai teaches people with too much anxiety and insecurities to become courageous and self reliant
two different paths towards balance from both ends
Marc Alcatraz night and day, ying and yang, it's all about balance in the end.
Cobra Kai's strike 1st, strike hard no mercy is a recipe for war!
Yes, they are both teaching confidence in a certain way.
but I think Cobra kai goes just a tad too far.
Agreed
The producers clearly saw the “Daniel is the Real Bully” video.
Lmao yh xD
I think one of the producers is Barney Stinson
Yeah, I laughed so much I could hardly watch. I think that alternative view is the critical thinking my teachers went on about at school in the 1980's.

I really like this trope, never gets old
It’s funny we only ever saw things from Daniel’s perspective
I know. Johnny is actually becoming a sympathetic character.
Johnny seems to have some good points.
Yeah, but his story goes a lot deeper than Daniel, though. He was still a jerk toward Allie in a lot of ways, too.
Yeah, I mean, Barney saw this.

It's really sad that you don't see script-writing this good on regular broadcast-television anymore.

Back in the 80's I never would have thought when I was in my 40's that Johnny would be a good guy!!!
He wasn't
I love how it feels like there are multiple protagonists in this series, like Daniel is making a better person out of Robbie, Johnny is training all the outcasts, Miguel is doing his best to make it in school and make his sensei proud. It's such a good series
The chick 🐤 that plays Sam is a mega babe 🐣 - dig it when she smiles 😊 and giggles - it's so adorable 😇
And Johnny is trying to change
That’s how you make an amazing antagonist & protagonist in a movie/series. Make both of them think they’re the hero of their own story and tweak their side of things to make it sound like they’re the ones who were attacked. This is possibly the best series on CZcams Red.
Real nice take on the show mate!!!!
Indeed. You notice how Johnny omitted the incident with Daniel going over an incline?
If that happens, he's more likely to get help from Daniel.
i agree on most,,but come on "impulse" is the best
I think it's the only series.
In The Karate Kid movie I had no sympathy for Johnny but after further review of everything I can really sympathize empathize with him
Kc Fox he was just as lost as Daniel was. But he found Kreese, not Miyagi.
Max Frankow EXACTLY
That’s because Daniel was supposed to be the good guy but in cobra Kai it explains everything
@@disneyplsdontsueme2349 daniel is a good guy, jonny is an alcaholic who cares only for him self , exactly why his son his being trained by his bigest rival jonny is pure jelous of daniel and daniel dislikes jonny because he doesnt trust his teachings etc
Kc Fox if you really think about it, Daniel is a douche and Johnny was just putting him in his place. Sure in the tournament Johnny’s Sensei made him do very illegal things, but Johnny recognized his win.
And then again in Cobra Kai, Daniel is once again a total douche.
Johnny is the real hero
"ARE YOU SURE?"
"NO, SENSEI!"
It’s really hard to pick sides. Johnny conveniently left out details of his feud with Daniel yet he’s actually taking huge steps forward. Daniel needs to let go of the past but he’s doing Robby a huge solid by teaching him balance.
Louie is so fired.
Fired for fire. I love it.
Bro definitely Johnny just left out all the other times he and the kai's bullied Daniel like in P.E soccer. Kinda mad about that but you know it just proves Johnny is still being as petty as Daniel about the past.
They're both the heroes of their own story, Daniel instigated plenty but we were rooting for him in the first movie. If it was told from Johnny's point of view, we'd be more sympathetic to his side.
So long to his sicko uncle Louies son - glad danny fired that creepy criminal
Everybody is the hero of their own story. Johnny didnt leave anything out, he just told the story from his perspective. We all do this to varying degrees.
Daniel is saying Johnny hasn’t changed, but he won’t let him.
Johnny hasn't changed that much - just look how Miguel has turned out and that should be plenty of evidence
The gr8 plastisine bee Bullshit
Johnny told Miguel a bunk story and even caused Miguel to lose his girlfriend.
The gr8 plastisine bee Um, no. Miguel made himself lose his own girlfriend for being drunk and not being understanding to her. And Johnny just told him HIS side to the story. Just because the movies portrayed Daniel as the good guy doesn’t mean he is. You do realize you don’t HAVE to root for Daniel right? Understanding Johnny and forgiving him isn’t a bad thing at all. It doesn’t make you a shitty person. After all, it’s just a show..
I know - watched season 1 episode the second hour it came out along with 6 episodes then watched the remaining episodes the day after
"Close your eyes. What do you hear?"
The sound of a huge ego growing bigger and bigger everyday.
I love how this series pokes fun of some of the cheesy aspects from the movies, but also pays homage at the same time. It's a lot funnier than I thought it would be, some of it being quite subtle and nostalgic.
Despite the fact that I love Jackie Chan, this is way better than the movie with Will Smith's kid.

Bruce Truong no way!?
Bruce Truong I saw that, just didn't know if it was the same one
Bruce Truong I guess it's his way of apologizing and making amends for that horrible reboot in 2010 with his son starring in it.
Rodrigo V both have their strengths and weaknesses.
Daniel and Johnny are human to the core. They have bad sides and redeeming sides but I can’t say neither one is truly the antagonist or protagonist they’re just the essence of a pure rivalry that seems to be brewing for Miguel and Robbie. The layering story telling as well as the call backs makes this an amazing episode.
amen to that!
Azaldi a karate student love triangle ooh exciting
Azaldi Can't agree with u more! Not sure wut all the others, who keep saying that Daniel was the bully all along, are coming from, cuz that's not wut i saw when watching the original. Like any kid that keeps getting pushed around, he did some stupid things to get even; but that's a far cry from him bein a bully. He was tryna stand up for himself.
Daniel definitely is being more antagonistic than Johnny, though....and he is kind of acting like a bully. Only bullies double someone’s rent over a drunken prank.
They did a great job with this series. Lots of shades of grey .. Good job to writers and actors.
What do you mean exactly with lots of shades if grey?
dinowars he means that there is no plain good vs bad, or black vs white so to say.
@@willffre I meant that Johnny wasn't the bad guy outright , nor was Danny the good guy outright. The expression relates to "black and white" .ie good guys wear White Bad guys wear black . Hence Shades of gray ..
dinowars there’s no good guys or bad guys. there’s just different perspectives.
i wish these writers would do a series about Hitler from his perspective lol.
For those would don't understand Spanish, Miguel's abuelita was roughly saying she was thankful that Johnny is Miguel's teacher and by extension a friend of the family.
William Zabka deserves an emmy
You mean an Oscar?
I agree he has really done a good job...
Theo Mann oscars are for movies
Yeah : I like his doctored story.
Johnny is talking as if he was already there at the beach party - he might have been invited to the beach party by the others though, that's not how a bloke treats a girl by arguing and trying to blackmail her into talking to her
100% makes the show what it is. Great acting, then that lass Daniels daughter is good eye candi. Like a new eliz shue
This series just gets better with each episodes. The scenes of Daniel training Robby are priceless. Very nice! They pay hommage to the original karate kid. And Johnny's story is fantastic! You can see his own struggles and what he's had to go through.
Well, Paul Smith, that's an interesting question, isn't it? Considering the fact that Daniel's core training centers around incorporating martial arts into everyday work such as washing cars, sweeping floors, painting, washing windows, etc., it's entirely possible he's been training all along even though he may not have put on a gi in 30-something years. The same goes for Johnny, because once martial arts is a part of you, it's a part of everything you do. Karate isn't just for the dojo - it's literally your life.

I think it’s cool how Robby and Daniel kind of have a bond like “the father Robby didn’t have”. Same with Miguel and Johnny. And it’s really cool to see how Miguel has turned johnny’s life around from where he was. Really cool.
seriously, this show just gets better every episode, this show is gold
Jose Bautista so far yes. Second 2 has a lot to live up too
Loved every episode but for me the 2nd half of episode 5 was the highlight.
Sean, I was initially critical of the fact that they didn't bring in more cast members from the original movie but now that I have watched the entire series, I know why they did it. Season 1 is just the introduction to many more seasons I believe and they are going to gradually introduce more characters from all three movies as we go along, especially KK1 and KK3. Had they brought in everyone for season 1, then the next couple of seasons would definitely not have been able to live up to the first one.
My only issue with this series is how the main student was the victim of being bullied but by the end he's become the thing he hated. Up until the end it seemed like you were supposed to hope for his success.
I so love the irony. Johnny training miguel as a Daniel type character and Daniel training robbie. Both teaching their students have a fatherly vibe and I love it
OMFG!!! I know right?! How everyone's story in intermingled is so fun and engrossing.

Brandon Lastoria IKR
This series is really good in the fact it has a clear message and something I have learned over the course of my life ( I was a teenager when The Karate Kid Series came out in 1984 so know that Daniel was always portrayed as the underdog and Johnny the antagonist). No one is the villain in their own story. There is always two sides to every argument with both parties always assuming their own version is the correct one. Life is not black and white, it is a multitude of shades of grey. People are complex. They have good , bad and everything in between, sides to their personalities. Ego always plays a major part on people not backing down. If you want to resolve things and move forward sometimes you have to let go of your ego. Oh and the one word that completely summarizes life in every single facet including nature, relationships, mathematics, physics, the universe everything you can think of is.............................. "balance" Thank you Mr Miyagi
You know, this really shows the Johnny really wasn’t wrong. And he still tried to respect Daniel from the end of the first karate kid until he kept being rude to Johnny
I love how they used Iron Eagle twice in this. That was my favorite 80s movie growing up.
Zurround100 It might seem strange but a simpler movie like Iron Eagle has more replay value than a hit for me. But you are right, the movies you listed are also good films.
Zurround100 I’m actually a Star Trek fan but most of the Star Trek films bored me. I found the episodes more entertaining. I thought the action was well balanced with the story in Iron Eagle. You had the opening dog fight, snake scene, training scene, first battle, and final battle.
I love Top Gun and that had like four great songs in it, however.... Iron Eagle has the sixties classic Gimme Some Livin' at the best part of the movie.... Always have been my favorite action scene from the 80's...
"Well you can't ask Hawk he is in the hospital getting a rabies shot." LMFAO

Who would've thought about Johnny praying with a meal with a kid's parents?
I am astonished at how packed this series is with information... Misunderstandings between people, and how easily they can happen. The Yin and Yang of the two Karate styles. How to teach people to turn a negative into a positive. How often people think that certain ways of thinking are always bad, when they aren't... and more. I think I would recommend this series to anybody at this point.

Love how they didn't go the cliche route and make Miguel's mom Johnny's eventual love interest, but rather a scene of self-reflection on Johnny's part.
Miyagi training and Johnny’s genes. Robby may be the ultimate fighter
