    I have the American Concert D and just love it. It is the best sounding Steinway software I have ever heard. I am looking at getting the Uprights next as I love the Yamaha piano. Great Video, thanks for doing this.

    Hi. I was wondering if there Is there a way to achieve a more intimate and dry sound on German Concert D? Thank you.

    Hello, I have three questions, please your advice :-) I have a Casio Privia PX780 and I have bought a midi cable for connect my piano and my pc.
    1) Do I need an audio interface like an UR22 for example, in order to reproduce this amazing sound in real time or my midi cable will be enough?
    2) Is music recorded in real time in an SSD in a PC automatically or do you need any additional hardware or software to record it? Which would be the recommended size of an SSD to use ivory ii?
    3) Do I need a DAW like Cubase for instance to run the Ivory ii or the Ivory ii itself works as an standalone software?
    Thank you in advance for your help guys :-)

    • @Timespace
      @Timespace  Před 6 lety

      Hi Brando,
      Page 55 in your manual should give you all the information you need for the first question. Essentially the only cable required is a USB printer cable (USB A - USB B). support.casio.com/storage/en/manual/pdf/EN/008/PX780_EN.pdf
      You may need a DAW to record your realtime playing depending whether you are working on a Mac or PC. The PC software comes with a standalone shell, which is capable of recording the audio from the plugin, whereas on a Mac you'll need to load it into Garageband, Cubase, Logic, ProTools etc to be able to record the output.
      The size of SSD that you'd require to run Ivory depends on how many of Synthogys libraries you want to have at your fingertips. I would personally recommend having it installed on your computers internal drive (whether or not you want to replace this with an SSD is up to you) as the speeds are typically quicker.

    Hi ! great video indeed ! sorry the silly question but i am trying to learn something on the topic. One box provides just one piano sound ? or a family of sounds ? where can i find a list of the piano sounds available in each package ? Thanks a lot and regards, gino

    • @mihaipuscas9704
      @mihaipuscas9704 Před 5 lety +1

      Some offer one, two or more depending on package. You can find more details on synthogy website. But they have a broken website, so you will have to select each package as they appear on the slideshow.

      @@mihaipuscas9704 Hi sorry for the late reply i did not get the alert. I just bought a cheap midi keyboard to start to make some noise. Maybe i should start from the bottom This i guess is the very top available. Thanks again. Kind regards, gino

    I’ve dreamt of a software that sounds like your actually playing an acoustic piano but the acoustics in the room or building your playing depending makes it difficult. What do use for audio.
    I use a keyboard Amp by Peavey and nothing compares to the real deal, but maybe this software will prove me wrong. What do you use for audio?

    • @Timespace
      @Timespace  Před 6 lety

      Hi Danny,
      I'm not sure I fully grasp your question, so please feel free to correct me if I'm off the mark!
      To get the audio from Ivory onto our video we use either a virtual soundcard to route the audio from the software into a piece of live capture software like OBS or ScreenFlow. Alternatively we'll take a midi recording of the software being played, bounce that down and then sync it with the video, we don't do any re-recording or micing

    • @TheWelcome7
      @TheWelcome7 Před 6 lety

      Actually to be clear, when you perform live, do you use an amp?And in order to get quality sound, what Amp if you do use and if you do what kind of amp do you use?

    • @Timespace
      @Timespace  Před 6 lety

      We tend to DI straight into the PA if available, this is the best way to maintain sound quality. Alternatively, if you have no PA, we'd suggest an amp with a really nice clean tone such as a VOX.

    • @johnnulf624
      @johnnulf624 Před 5 lety +1

      @@Timespace Would you recommend an amp over say monitor speakers for reproducing the sound of a piano? I personally have found monitor speakers to have a harsh sound that doesn't feel very full.

    • @Timespace
      @Timespace  Před 5 lety

      @@johnnulf624 Sure,
      It is down to personal preference! Using amps/monitors to record digital pianos is a great way to get more life into the sound, and more ‘air’. Maybe try using a keyboard amp to reproduce the sound and record the amp - if this is what you are intending to do.
      Knowing the sound of your monitors is key to any mix/playing, so a simple EQ when mixing or playing the piano could be a good place to start.

    Anyone know what piano they sampled for the Italian grand? I'm looking for that slightly warmer sound but still with enough power if I needed like the Shigeru Kawai offers but sadly there are no VSTs for this particular piano :( I have a sample on my Kawai CA58 but it's not MIDI and I realized I SUCK at recording live so having MIDI would significantly help me out. But I must find something that's on par with my Shigeru Kawai samples.

      Hi, thanks for your comment!
      I'd have to say the Steinway Model D included in Ivory II Grand Pianos would be my choice for Romantic pieces, it's got a very lyrical tone which suites the style perfectly. Hope this helps!

    Thanks for sharing the video! Let me tell you something important:
    God loves you! God loves us !
    He he is no respecter of persons! because God wants us all to be saved! and let's go to the knowledge of the "Truth"
    God wants to save us from eternal damnation,
    which we all deserve because of sin,
    who entered the world through Adam,
    But God's Love was so great for us, that he sent his only Son (Jesus Christ), gave him to this world, to die and rise again for All of us!
    so that everyone who believes in Jesus Christ, does not go to eternal punishment, but has “Eternal Life! "
    Jesus Christ came to call sinners to “Repentance! "
    and, whoever believes in Him, has "Eternal Life! “But whoever refuses to believe in Jesus Christ, the wrath of God remains upon him.
    All of us who believe in "The Only Savior of the world! "
    The Only Mediator between God and us! The Lord Jesus Christ! "
    All of us who trust in Him; we have "Eternal Life! "
    God loves you! God loves us! Only to Him be the Glory Forever! Amen!

    why not get a good pianist/musician to play and comment, so we get a better sense of the sonic possibilities?
