We always did waltz jump back-scratch-loop combo's as prep for the axel. And for us to get the rotation doing axels out of stand still which was hard. I remember doing nothing but an hour of falling onto my tail bone when learning.

how long do you spend on ice practicing daily? how many times a week? Do you skate every day?
Everyone does their own thing, but I skate 2-3 hours on the ice 5 days a week.

Recenty, I even sprained my ankle while doing it
Guodi Nuke I’m literally in the same position, I landed a few axels at the start of a session yesterday, then started lutzes and sprained my right ankle on the landing of one of them

Is it weird that I landed my double flip and salchow before my axel? I mean I did train all three jumps at the same time but for some reason the axel has always been the hardest for me.
Everyone is different! I've seen many people have a hard time with Axels, sals, and toes, but do perfect loops, flips and lutzes. Also vice versa. So no it's not weird! ❤️
How long should you wait after starting skating to do jumps? Not the axel lol, but easy ones. A year?
in trbl It is different by everybody, it depends on yourself and how much you train in one week and if you train in the summer or not.
It depends on you and your stability. If your coach says it's okay, then go for it!
Usually your coach will start you a month or two after you start but it depends on your progress
