  • Hello everyone! I'm back with another video and today I took my BMW M550i 2018 out for a joyride and talked about some of my thoughts and showed some features on the car! I mainly tried to show how much noise she makes having no resonators! This was my first time recording a POV/Review so I know I missed some of the options equipped. Let me know your thoughts below on how you think it sounds! Don't be afraid to ask questions either! ****HIGHLY RECOMMEND LISTENING WITH HEADPHONES****

    Lovely car! Just took mine to FL and back, got 600 miles on one tank in eco pro.

      Wow that is crazy to here! I’ve shared some of my results before on the bmw forums and the best mpg I’ve gotten was 35mpg! Now for a V8 that’s crazy! Eco pro really makes a difference

    Does the resonator delete void any warranty? I just got the m550 and feel like the resonator delete will get me the sound I want without doing any of the crazy mods

    • @jbcars
      @jbcars  Před 2 lety

      It definitely will get you the sound you want! BUT, I don’t know for sure if it voids the warranty on newer cars I bought mine certified pre owned and was told by my dealer it wont void my used warranty. I would check with your dealer to make sure before doing it

      Deleting a resonator cannot cause powertrain issues to jeopardize the warranty lol

      @@aronrussell4680 its not only power train that the warranty covers ( i had an x6m before and now i have an m550 looking to get m5 next but it covers many things if something happens to the exhaust or anything along those lines it could fuck ur warranty up. I’ve been looking to do it but im skeptical i have to get more information

      Give BMW a call and find out from the source.

    How many miles have put on it? How reliable has it been? I’m considering getting one. I’m currently driving a Mercedes S550 but want something more sporty. Thanks!

      Just clocked in a little over 89k after my BMW service last week. Car has been in fantastic shape! I took it on a couple road trips recently and still 100% nothing wrong! By far the most reliable bmw I’ve ever owned! I would definitely pull the trigger on one if you can preferably under 60k miles like I did cause you’ll still be able to get a very good warranty plus the car feels brand new! I will definitely be making a reliability video soon!

    • @jbcars
      @jbcars  Před 2 lety +3

      Absolutely 0 drone! My car is very loud when I want it to be and very quiet when I want it to be! And when I say very quiet I mean perfect daily driver.

      @@jbcars yeah due to the valved exhaust right? The difference between open and closed valves is probably quite big?

    • @jbcars
      @jbcars  Před rokem +1

      @@Falco_e46 Yes! When I drive in Sport individual I have all my setting on comfort so it’s literally comfort mode with the valves open instead and on the upshifts and acceleration it’s a little more noticeable in noise but not raspy or extremely louder. Only in sport plus is it really loud

    What did you replace it with after deleting the two resonators?
    Did you install Dinan midpipe?

      I replaced the resonators with two straight pipes and a MagnaFlow X-Pipe

      @jbcars  Před 2 lety +5

      I’ve had it for almost 2 years. Have had 0 issues. I’ve put over 20k miles on it, drive it hard a bunch, and always service it everytime it’s required. It’s by far the most reliable BMW I’ve owned so far!! Would 100% recommend this as a daily driver because it exceeds that definition!
