  • Fan Friday Request:
    "I'd love to see any of the appearances by Space Camp CEO Ed Buckbee with Dave. The one I remember best is when Dave demonstrated the multi-axis training chair that spun him in multiple directions at once.
    Many thanks.
    David Azbell,
    Montgomery, Alabama"

    Welcome to the Letterman CZcams Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show - as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate - but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

    Dave is a funny guy, and he knows what's going on in space. This is awesome.

    I saw this at the time, and just as I remembered, I love that Dave thinks (or is pretending to think, for laughs) that he actually brought it under control as opposed to the guys simply turning it off. ;)

    The way they are dressed as well as the needles that are on the gauges. This just screams 1980s.

    I've always been interested in space, but I've never been to space camp.

    Have any space campers ever gone on to actually become astronauts?

    • @HistorianMom
      @HistorianMom Před rokem +5

      Yes; at least six for NASA or ESA, and several private astronauts.

    I love Letterman, and this was a good premise - but it should have been 1/2 as long. Same jokes kind of kept getting recycled.

    this makes a lot of sense for ZERO gravity huh? isnt it impossible to be upside-down in zero gravity? blood sure shouldnt rush to your head, i think............................

    • @zenseed75
      @zenseed75 Před rokem

      You will see interviews with the astronauts upside down. Pretty cool.

    • @MusicalBox
      @MusicalBox Před rokem +3

      In space, gravity won't affect where your blood goes, but the centrifugal force will. If you spin fast enough in all directions, your blood will rush to your head, gravity or not.
