Carl has been playing the guitar every day since 1965 and has always made his living with the instrument. A member of the smash hit British rock group Supertramp since 1985, Carl has played to millions of enthusiastic fans in sold out arenas worldwide. As the creative force behind the Carl Verheyen Band, his 14-record discography showcases his endless talents across a wide array of musical genres.
Carl is also a much sought after studio musician playing on many other artists’ records whenever his busy schedule permits. He has recorded and played with a virtual who’s who of the music industry and his vast collection of movie soundtracks and television credits is amazing. At the 2009 Academy Awards, Carl was heard by 67,000,000 people as a featured soloist.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Z-Lux head bought new in 2022. Best amp I’ve ever owned. I run mine into a custom ordered Zilla cab with a 1x15 WGS AlNiCo speaker.
Supremely versatile amplifier. Incredible reverb. Great string to speaker feel.
I play Strats or a Reverend Club King semi-hollow with TV Jones Classic and Classic Plus Tron style pickups in soapbar mounts or another Reverend with their own RevTron variant on the Filtertron idea. Every guitar sounds incredible into the Z-Lux.
Love Carl’s playing here and in the old video from a few years back, which convinced me the Z-Lux would be my choice over the EZG50.
Are you guys ever going to bring back the Maz38 Reverb as an EL84 powered sister to the Z-Lux?

Sounds ACE! What speaker do you use? Breakup/saturation sounds amazing with the Humbuckers…not brittle at all. Has that Super Fender, Dumble thing going for it?
Always like the Z amps, never played through a Z-lux.
It would be the stock Z12 in the combo.
