- While Lufthansa got a 5-star rating from Skytrax, Swiss only has a 4-star rating. The reason? Nobody knows. Because Swiss is certainly a much better choice when flying long-haul. Fantastic catering including a massive self-service snack bar, comfortable and modern seats and they're often not even too expensive to fly on!

Within LH Group by far the best carrier in my opinion. Always had enjoyable flights, good service and delicious meals!!! 😃👍
Haven't flown SWISS for a year, but their business class is simply the best I have flown. Or at least the best in Europe once I fly Qsuite in July.
The thing I don't get with European carriers: Their service seems to be behind all the other carriers.
8 hours on Egyptair. Full meal was served after departure and hot breakfast before landing in biz and economy.
12 hours on Thai Airways. 1 am departure and they still had to rush through with meal service. I asked why they chose to serve supper so late (At least they did it quickly) they said so that people don't complain they're hungry. Sandwiches available throughout the flight and hot breakfast (admittedly only one choice) was served.
10 hours on SWISS business? Full meal service after takeoff from Bangkok, starter, main course, cheese, desert, chocolates (of course) Small, rectangular sandwiches handed out mid-flight (Choice of parma ham or cheese on sourdough) then this was the menu before landing:
Chicken caesar salad or
Macaroni with tomato sauce (hot)
Fresh fruit
What did I do? I asked the flight attendant to put some chicken into my pasta.

Appreciate what you are doing, I’m a frequent traveler but not as much as you so thanks for helping me see what may make my traveling experience better
Nice video, as usual! I really like how you capture the sights and sounds of the cabin and the plane engine, something most other flight reporters don't do in their videos. It makes the viewer feel like as if they are actually flying, which I believe would really help the people watching know what to expect on certain flights. Keep the awesome videos up, and I hope you have a great time wherever you go.
P.S. You should fly from Frankfurt to Seattle on Lufthansa sometime :).

I've flown twice with Swiss in a round-trip from Sao Paulo to Zurich. It was really amazing. Next February, I'll fly with this carrier again from Sao Paulo to Narita via Zurich, in 2 diffetents aircrafts models: 777-300 and 340-300. Looking forward for those new expreriences.

The chicken looked delicious...the snack choices looked great, too! On my two trips to LAX in the early '80s, the flight I was on approached LAX from the Hollywood Hills.

i remember my flight with Swiss A340 from Zurich to Los Angeles almost 9 years ago (November 2011). The service was really professional, food, drinks (and i drank a lot of alcohol during the flight), IFE. OK no metal cutlery and wifi. But i was really satisfied.

I love flying Swiss, I've only flown them on intra-European services but even then, they're one of the best airlines I've flown. I can't wait to try them on a long haul!

I am thrilled to see how wonderful service Swiss provided on a direct flight from Zurich to L.A. I will book them for my next flight. If it weren't for your truthful reviews, we would not know much about these flights.

For me legroom and comfortable seats are the most important criteria to choose an airline. In this area Swiss is substandard.

ZRH is always chaos with those outbound US-flights where everybody has to queue up for 'a chat' and a stamp on their boarding pass. Areas to walk are always packed on the E-gates.
Having just watched your Newark-Vienna trip on Austrian, I'd say this was a better experience. While the legroom wasn't generous on either flight, the food on Swiss was vastly better. The Swiss IFE looked more responsive and they had wifi available (for a price).

It's certain an improvement on my flights on Swissair Caravelles and Coronados in the 1960s. We got a Hot Dog with a hot bun and a cold sausage.

Try business class on Swiss Air next time. I did ZRH to SFO. Service was amazing. Food better than most restaurants even in San Francisco.
Now the seats in business are a bit different than other 777’s.
It’s a lie flat seat but as it is reclining you notice that it’s lowering to a point where if you are the least bit claustrophobic you are going to freak out as the space for your lower body is entering a coffin like space!
. For the single seat in its own row, in business the fee is an extra $200.00.

I like Swiss Air. Went to southern Spain and didn’t want to fly low cost headache airlines direct from LHR. Only £150 extra. Nice to breakup the flight via Zurich. The snack bar reminds of and old United flight 747SP.
Thinking of using them when I go to LA next.
Swiss is one of the best Airlines available when it comes to long haul flights.
Yes, I also enjoyed them on short haul and I experienced a 45m connection

I don't know why, but in Europe you can't select a seat, too. Will fly very soon with LH and LX - and for the LH Flights you can select seats but not for the LX flights^^

I was surprised to see a smoking lounge at the Zurich airport. If you are a smoker at many if not most American airports, it's pretty much "schwer kuchen" (in the spirit of the subject of this video).

I saw many videos, starting to be big fan but, I am still missing 3 important things. 1.How tall and big/fat is David/Felix or anybody else shooting report, for example, I have 189cm and 110kg so it is nice that you measure legroom by your palm, but something more precise would be nice. 2.Wi-Fi availability and cost(not in that particulary video), 3. Pricing (at least ticket cost and how in advance you book it etc) and miles collection if you collect, what I expect. Thumbs up for coach reports and easy format of reports. Best regards from Prague
