My son, for my wife and I, is the single greatest accomplishment and makes our lives so much better. I couldn’t imagine a world without him. He is incredible, talented and humble. We made a decision only to have one, and wish we hadn’t. School pushes kids to see it in a more selfish way, we need to get back to family focus.

To what end though? Whatever happened happened. Cuomo was not alone, most of the media (at the time) were pushing the same narrative. And remember, the information the news was reporting, came directly from the world health organization (a group advertised as comprised of "experts" in the health industry) and further reinforced by the government.
If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at the companies that that pushed that narrative, not at the media execs who were just following what they were told. Most media is bought and paid for by one or more political parties, so naturally, they will push whatever narrative the government asks for.

I made 6 figures for 10 years. Had back surgery and then Covid hit. Went through all my savings and now I can’t even work like I use to. So if you make less and things cost a whole lot more, guess what? You’re f#cked and so is my credit now. Life is rough and I don’t blow money is mismanage it. People make assumptions and they are just talking out their ass!
Seriously! Every time these guys talk about the less fortunate it pisses me off. Adam is only in the place he is from pure luck. And the rest of them had good fortune along with their skill to get them where they are. They have NO idea what it is like growing up in a truly challenging life. I am doing ok but my God I went through years where I couldn’t get ahead. And with cost of living now days I am going to have to move my entire family to somewhere more affordable. Leaving the place I want to live and dreamed of living at.
And I have had good fortune. Others like yourself have had a much harder path. Good bless you and don’t feel bad for not being rich. We work hard to provide for our families.

I start up a small retail store only to be shut down during Covid / still trying to recover.
I didn’t take government money.. I didn’t want others to pay for it long term-Wish others thought that way!
The company I worked for shut down.

I’ve now went through all my savings.
Crazy how life just start tumbling down.
But I’ll be okay. It will just be harder now that I’m older.

And for the would be mothers having a child may be the worst painful experience you may have but it will be the quickest pain you will ever get over and forget about.
My mother spoke from experience. As a grandfather myself there is NO greater experience than the unconditional love you get . God bless the kids and let’s keep them safe they are all precious, it’s takin for granted too much these days that they’ll be ok on their own. Saving is only half of it. The other half is making the savings work through investment. Once you see your accounts on the winning side of amortization the light will blink on and you’re off to the races. Takes some time but not really that much.

Graduated in 1994, "business math" was a summer elective worth 4 HS credits, it helped me learn how to navigate my finances, how to use a credit card, write a check, save for the future, never spend what you don't have etc. A class like this should be "mandatory" for every High school student, so they don't fall into the trap of Debt! information is power. It’s not fair to compare my circumstances to yours because everyone is different but I’ve found SSI to be pretty generous, all things considered. The investment decisions I made before disability occurred, turned out to be very good ones and have made things a lot better. If I had made poor investment decisions or worse, none, that would be a different thing all together. But if I had, who would I have to blame?

All of them need to be called out on their financial advice, even Tom. All of them are well to do. The American middle class cannot keep up with compounding inflation, therefore budgeting is near impossible. We cannot cut back on anything more. Thermostat at 66 in the winter, doesn't matter. Not turning on the a/c until 76* in the house, doesn't matter. Energy costs are too high across the board. Home and car insurance is way up and no one knows how high they will go. Food costs are out of hand. What does that mean? No more restaurants.No more fast food treats. No movies or going to shows. Cut the cable to have only basic internet service. Cut the phone plan to just the basic needs and no new phones. Kid has date night and needs a $20? Nope, sorry, I had to buy 5 gallons of gas for work monday morning. Public transit? Ticket prices are way up to combat rising energy costs. Not many are buying new vehicles, and the used car market continues to be hot, well over Kelly Blue Book. New home sales? As if. Those who have the $ have bought. Those who want to move cannot afford the move, even to red states. You're lucky to get an 8% 30yr mortgage. More like 9+ even with a good job and good credit. Sure the est value of your home has gone up, but no one has the $ for it, and banks and loaning institutions are denying loans left and right, causing people to short sell if they can just get out which is so unfair. I'd love to see PBD and crew try to live off $50k now days, no giant portfolio to rest on. All that being said, can Trump change all that within 4 yrs? I doubt it but am willing to give him another try. Biden will bankrupt this country in another 4 yrs to be sure. Long post, thx for reading

Thank you. I have been saying the same thing. People who bought houses or cars or paid them off before 2020 just don't understand exactly that. One of their podcasts several months ago they showed that 45% of the country was able to get a 2.5% interest rate when the interest rates were that low in middle of covid. Wow that sounds great except for when you realize that 55% which is the majority did not get those rates. you went from 2% to 8% and that's quadruple the interest rate. Then you also went double on prices of houses at the same time. For example a $200,000 house brand new 2000 sqf in 2020 was going for $400,000 and 6.5% in 2022. Can anyone even wrap their heads around the monthly mortgage payment difference that is? Even if you could qualify and you did get the house, all that money is now going to a place to live and you don't have any money left for a car payment or groceries or anything else. It is why we are seeing all these defaults, record debts and everything else. We didn't do that. Biden did. They basically set us up to become the next Venezuela and as we have heard AOC and crew before thats exactly what they want us to model our government and society after.

@17:20 if the BNPL can hurt a FICO score, then they also need to be reporting to the bureaus as well. And Tom is correct, that the FICO score is like your health vitals. The difference is when you take a blood pressure, you come up with the same number across (most) machines. If it's high, you know you need to fix it. With credit, there are so many different models for each of the three bureaus, with no transparency in lending to boot. All lenders need to be required to state which credit bureau from which they pull, and which credit model. So I can go to myfico and see what loan terms will be before we even decide to leave the house to do anything...and as far as car dealerships running credit like 20x...that's insane.
