I would say "Suragani". Why? Because it has been long since we saw Ajith has the perfect gangster. Even though the storyline sounds like Billa 2, I still believe in GVM's love angle. Actually that excites me more because it has been so long since we witnessed Ajith in a good love stories. Even though Yennai Arindhal was there, I can't list out any other movies where Ajith in a perfect love content. So after seeing Yennai Arindhal i strongly believe that only GVM can able to pull off that romance we expect from Ajith.
I would revive Marudhanayagam. Being Aandavar's fangirl, it would be an imperishable moment in my life and I would do anything to get back into that film, experience each and every moment and capture the memories. Parthiban sir was reportedly signed to play a crucial role in the film may be antagonist, it would have been so fresh to see a witty character in a vetri sir's film, and on top of all the combination of scenes of Dhanush sir and Parthiban sir itself would have set the screens on fire 🔥
If I get a chance I would revive Marudhanayagam. Just watching a 3 mins trailer and song of that movie still gives goosebumps. After reading the story of Marudhanayagam alias Mohammed Yusuf Khan who was an unsung hero of Indian independence history, I can't wait for the world to witness such an epic story come to life. Ideally I would want to watch Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan play the role. But if it can be made with Suriya/Vikram/Fahad Faasil I would still be happy that we could realize one of our long lost dreams of Tamil Cinema.
Sabaash Naidu by Kamal and Crazy Mohan combo after Vasool Raja MBBS. The film had great technicians and cast but didn't take off. A full fletched comedy movie after a very long time would have been so refreshing ✨

If I get a chance to revive a dropped film then I will go for Karthick Naren's Naragasooran. That trailer still looks so fresh and powerfull. After D-16 Karthick Naren had gained that fanbase, that style of story telling in the trailer was real good and Nargasooran could have been that big film for him. If Naragasooran had been released then maybe he would be doing some big projects with Kamal or Vijay sir. We still don't know what kinda movie its gonna be serial/phsycho killer, horror. It definitely deserves a release man.
In my opinion, Thuppariyum Anandan should be reviewed as a project. Detective stories has always been popular in print media but it wasn't properly explored in cinema. In recent times, films like Thupparivaalan gave me hope. A detective film series would be a great idea for Tamil Cinema.
Kaasimedu This was one of the earliest projects that Selvaraghavan wanted to do after Kadhal Kondean. He pitched for a gangster movie with an all star cast like Dhanush, Jayam Ravi & Surya. The project was scrapped off when he got to do 7G Rainbow Colony. Maybe it’ll be revived in future.

I would definitely revive the mighty "Marudhanayagam". The only reason is because of the teaser which was released several years ago. From the teaser itself it is evident that the film is set in a large canvas. And apart from all that, one factor "written and directed by Kamal Hassan".
Yohan athyayam 1 Reason: The director is GVM who has also delivered a good movie with Ajith, and can possibly materialise an universe with Ajith and Vijay, playing lead roles in different chapters (Like HIT universe in Telugu with different lead actors for each chapter). Preferring this over the dropped Ajith - ARM project because it has already happened in form of Ghajini
If I had the power I would definitely like to revive Chennai il oru mazhaikalam. The reason being the magic created by Vaaranam Aayiram, which was also a collaboration between Suriya and GVM. In the last decade suriya has taken the route of action films but I feel like he would kill it in a romantic feel good film, and in this case especially with Asin with whom he had great chemistry. Reviving this film could have been the chance to get that same feeling which Vaaranam Aayiram gave(Ps it is one of my favourite films ;) )
Soodhaadi by Vetrimaaran Dhanush looked interesting as well as the concept and the first look.....if released maybe it would have been one of the best projects we ever witnessed
Practically speaking, I would love to revive Iravaakaalam by Ashwin Saravanan. Starting from the pan shot in the intro to the final pan out in outro, everything in the trailer seems to be Outta the box. In my opinion, tamil cinema hasn't seen a impactful trailer like that before.. and yeah man😅 SJsurya & Shivvda .. their performances.. #notforthesakeofgiveaway but if there's any chance to help out this film, I'm totally in for that
My pic would be Yohan Adhyayam Ondru , as it was a fresh combo of Vijay and GVM which many of us are still dreaming . When I saw the 1st looks , it definitely made me exciting to see a spy Vijay film in a foreign backdrop . I still wish if this movie happens anytime soon and as GVM said in a interview he has pitched a script to Vijay and hope it happens .
It would've been great to see Irumbu Kai Maayavi-a Surya-Lokesh Kanagaraj creation as it's rare to see good Superhero films in Tamizh cinema,since the original comic was never adapted into a film in hollywood either,it wouldn't have been a subpar remake of already existing superhero story and to see director Lokesh's construction of story and his unique narration would've been a privelege.The title also sounds super cool and the story has the potential to become a two part story as well,tbh to think of the background scores we'd get from our music directors only hypes me up more for this dream picture (especially Harris Jayaraj sir's background for this film) not to forget,Actor Surya would've been a great casting choice.

Rana by Rajinikanth & K S Ravikumar Reason : Apart from the lowpoly animation Kochadiyan had a Humongous chance to become a Big film if it was made in live action because of it's Screenplay & Astounding Music by ARR. KS Ravikumar(KSR) said in some interviews, that KSR planned to make a full fleged film on a Grey shaded warrior character starring Rajini as 'Rana', & it was a full bounded script. As Rajini's health condition was bad at that time they dropped the film. As Rajini was more spiritual inperson, he asked KSR to develop a script focusing on the Dropped movie character Rana's Father named 'Kochadiyan" who is a saviot & warrior. KSR also said that Kochadaiyan script was completed and finalized within 3-4 months. Now imagine the strength of the Full bounded script that KSR had for 'Rana'. Tamil Cinema would have gone to another level after experimenting a Sci-fi with superstar continued by a Well made Historical Movie with a huge starcast.
I will try to revive the film of chennaiyil oru mazhaikaalam with an Harris sir musical. Reasons: 1. The scarcity of good feel-good films or happy college days' genre in Tamil cinema, like you mentioned kadhal Desam.( Other than thiruchitrambalam no films were released and got that kind of appreciation) 2. After VTV not VTK, I missed that GVM who writes scenes like poems.

Given a choice, I would love to see Kadhal 2 Kalyanam release. It would've been the directorial debut of Milind Rau (who eventually went on to make Aval and Netrikann) and was co-written by Baradwaj Rangan. It's the rare film that's literally almost completed: we even have a whole banger soundtrack from Yuvan Shankar Raja. I'm just genuinely curious about a commercial rom-com from a horror-inclined Milind Rau and Baddy especially. Also starred Divya Spandana in her Vaaranam Aayiram prime stage. It's an interesting film, for sure.

Adhum andha poster oda color grading paathale it gives a vibe which i havent seen in any tamil movie so far. My second choice would be Chennaiyil Mazhaikalam, surya as a romance hero that too under gvm's direction like varanam aayiram, just wow, so many of gvm's dropped projects make me yearn for what could have been.
Chenanail Oru Mazahaikalam - From the recent times, there is a flood of action and crime thrillers, but I miss the feel good movies that I can turn on. In the recent times, I loved watching Sita Ramam and the poster for this movie seems to have the same vibe. I do believe that with GVM's direction there is some polish and as always love his female characters that have depth. Very curious to know what that movie is about and see it on the big screen.
I would want to revive kaan(simbhu-selvaragavan) and karikalan(vikram). Kaan was supposed to be a spy thriller and it would have been amazing to see simbhu in a avatar of selvaragavan's direction. Karikalan was a periodic film and given his performance in ps-1, It would be great for that film to revive.

The spin-off film was to be based on Balram Naaidu, a role from Kamal’s own Dasavathaaram. Legendary Telugu comedian Brahmaanandan was touted to play the role of Apparao that was originally played by Master Raghuram, who passed away in 2013.
If i had an option it would be Yohan: Adhyayam Ondru. GVM-VIJAY-ARR-MANOJ PARAMAHAMSA these names are enough for the reason. Its could be a masterpiece film from kollywood. And it can be run as a franchise with series of films and it could have a chance to make our indian films to next level. Still it have some chance them to join again for this. Waiting for this to be happened..
I feel Yohan with GVM and Vijay would be better to revive. If this film would have happened back then it would have given him a fresh look apart from the boy next door and the carefree characters that he was associated with at that time. Right now with his strong base in Tamil cinema, this project would bring depth and meaning to the characters built around him in cinemas. The density of the character and story would suck in more attention like a black hole. Also, GVM's more experience and his experimental success with VTK would push him to create a fresh yet dark character (Vijay) that would be different from his recurrent ideas of a film about a slumdog to a gangster (which looks familiar). With T67 under the control of LK, it could be wished that GVM will have his take on this film without any others' influence (hope there are no sequels to it, just cut right). And Vijay is in dire need to try out new characters and not fall into the trap of the same box, different pics. Kamal's Marudhanayagam would also be great but as time passed, I doubt the actors (with all due respects) would get into the supporting roles to actually power and make Kamal's character impactful, making its revival a tough choice to work out in reality. Nonetheless, it'd always be great to see its take on history.

Super deluxe was suppose to be a low budget film before the "star" got into that. I would pay anything if I can to see a TK's "high budget" film, as it can give a immense level of experience
I would definitely revive Marudhanayagam. It is still the most awaited project for the OG Kamal Hasan fans. (You might say I am too young but still I have seen his old films like Oru kaithiyin diary, Japannil kalyanaraman, Aburva sahotharargal ... to name a few.) Ok think about it, Marudhanayagam, in two different versions one being the old film effect with the final stuff being done in the film itself giving us that noir film look. This version could look, the 2000s movies like Hey Ram, Virumandi. The other version must be with fully remastered and full modern looks i.e., CGI and more like some modern historical movies like RRR or Ponniyin selvan ... This movie can set an example of how movies were made in both the 2000s era and the modern era. This could help the movie lovers and audience see the differences and similarities of Cinema in the 2000s and now.
I will revive Rana movie because already rajini made a historical movie Koachadaiyan . But we already know , it is a big flop . So I can make rajini to give a blockbuster in historical movie. It shows that , he is a legend in all types of movies .
After seeing Inmai from Navarasa, I would love to see Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai by Rathindran R Prasad. It has an interesting cast, and seeing how well the horror genre (or rather the fear element) was tackled in Inmai, I'm sure this movie would've explored those themes as well.
Answering your question, I'd like to talk about the film "Yelelo" by R.Parthiban. Before Iravin Nizhal, this was meant to be the first collaboration of Parthiban-ARR. In one of the promotional videos for Iravin Nizhal, ARR had said that he loved that storyline and composed almost 3-4 songs for film as well, but unfortunately, the film got shelved due to various reasons. A composer like ARR, who composes for films in a very choosy manner (I'm saying it choosy because he's told in many stages, like recently the VTK audio launch, that he does film scores either for the director, or if the story is very compelling), saying that the story was so good, there would've been some interesting and out-of-the-box content in it!!! So, I'd love to revive this film!!! P.S:- Loving all your recent videos guys!!! Keep doing the amazing work!!!!💯

if you'd ask me i would personally want to revive AR Murgadoss and Vijay's untitled film under sun pictures. Shooting had commenced but had stopped midway due to some undisclosed reasons. Vijay-Armuragadoss why not?? The best combo to produce kaththi ang thuppaki. Would exclude sarkar not because its a bad film, but it was a storyline which was'nt commericially entertaining. Chennayil oru mazhaikalam JVM and Soorya combo feels like back to the good old days, im a fan varanam ayiram movie which was made by them, still that movie gives the vibe of days which we really enjoyed without any stresses and responsibilities.
Marudha Nayagan Reason - The most anticipated or hyped movie in the Tamil/Indian film industry. This movie was dropped due to budget limitations at that time. Today this movie can be made along with VFX capability. I would like to see Vikram, Surya or any good performer play this role and be directed by Kamal.
i would also try to revive dhruva natchathriam as another spy thriller but with vikram. this and yohan could be in a shared universe because both are made by gvm sir. This movie could be based on vikram who's a senior to vijay in the universe and since he his older his approach to the objective in the movie would be different compared to vijay. vikram could also act like a mentor character to vijay sir in this movie. Both of these actors can nail theor respective roles. i dont really plan on adding heroines to this universe but if i do im gonna give an important role to the heroines in this universe.

Kizhakku Africavil Raju This is the movie I wish to revive only because of the visionary mind of MGR. Even today Ulagam Sutrum Valiban seems not so old. The clarity in its science fiction angle, overall geography of the movie, etc. Such an ambitious movie, only a person like MGR can create such a thing at that time. With the same mind behind the camera, Kizhakku Africavil Raju would have been a milestone in tamil cinema. It's practically not possible to revive this movie in live action today. I guess a studio is reviving this movie in animated format.

Ashwin Saravanan's "Iravaakaalam" I was not a great fan of Horror movies because it is not so relatable. But both Maya and Game Over is so different and I'm still suggesting those movies to my other state friends. Although Connect was a bit of disappointment for me, I would still need Iravaakaalam to be released as the teaser was so new with no voices but the whole story was conveyed. Great fan of SJ Surya too.

I would say "Suragani". Why? Because it has been long since we saw Ajith has the perfect gangster. Even though the storyline sounds like Billa 2, I still believe in GVM's love angle. If I get a chance I would revive Marudhanayagam. Just watching a 3 mins trailer and song of that movie still gives goosebumps. After reading the story of Marudhanayagam alias Mohammed Yusuf Khan who was an unsung hero of Indian independence history, I can't wait for the world to witness such an epic story come to life. Ideally I would want to watch Ulaganayagan Kamal Hassan play the role. But if it can be made with Suriya/Vikram/Fahad Faasil I would still be happy that we could realize one of our long lost dreams of Tamil Cinema.

If I get a chance to revive a dropped film then I will go for Karthick Naren's Naragasooran. That trailer still looks so fresh and powerfull. After D-16 Karthick Naren had gained that fanbase, that style of story telling in the trailer was real good and Nargasooran could have been that big film for him. If Naragasooran had been released then maybe he would be doing some big projects with Kamal or Vijay sir. We still don't know what kinda movie its gonna be serial/phsycho killer, horror. In my opinion, Thuppariyum Anandan should be reviewed as a project. Detective stories has always been popular in print media but it wasn't properly explored in cinema. In recent times, films like Thupparivaalan gave me hope. A detective film series would be a great idea for Tamil Cinema.

If I had the power I would definitely like to revive Chennai il oru mazhaikalam. The reason being the magic created by Vaaranam Aayiram, which was also a collaboration between Suriya and GVM. In the last decade suriya has taken the route of action films but I feel like he would kill it in a romantic feel good film, and in this case especially with Asin with whom he had great chemistry. Reviving this film could have been the chance to get that same feeling which Vaaranam Aayiram gave(Ps it is one of my favourite films ;) )

It would've been great to see Irumbu Kai Maayavi-a Surya-Lokesh Kanagaraj creation as it's rare to see good Superhero films in Tamizh cinema,since the original comic was never adapted into a film in hollywood either,it wouldn't have been a subpar remake of already existing superhero story and to see director Lokesh's construction of story and his unique narration would've been a privelege.The title also sounds super cool and the story has the potential to become a two part story as well,tbh to think of the background scores we'd get from our music directors only hypes me up more for this dream picture (especially Harris Jayaraj sir's background for this film) not to forget,Actor Surya would've been a great casting choice.

Reason : Apart from the lowpoly animation Kochadiyan had a Humongous chance to become a Big film if it was made in live action because of it's Screenplay & Astounding Music by ARR.
KS Ravikumar(KSR) said in some interviews, that KSR planned to make a full fleged film on a Grey shaded warrior character starring Rajini as 'Rana', & it was a full bounded script. As Rajini's health condition was bad at that time they dropped the film.
As Rajini was more spiritual inperson, he asked KSR to develop a script focusing on the Dropped movie character Rana's Father named 'Kochadiyan" who is a saviot & warrior. KSR also said that Kochadaiyan script was completed and finalized within 3-4 months.
Now imagine the strength of the Full bounded script that KSR had for 'Rana'. Tamil Cinema would have gone to another level after experimenting a Sci-fi with superstar continued by a Well made Historical Movie with a huge starcast.
I will try to revive the film of chennaiyil oru mazhaikaalam with an Harris sir musical.
Reasons:
1. The scarcity of good feel-good films or happy college days' genre in Tamil cinema, like you mentioned kadhal Desam.( Other than thiruchitrambalam no films were released and got that kind of appreciation)
2. After VTV not VTK, I missed that GVM who writes scenes like poems.

Given a choice, I would love to see Kadhal 2 Kalyanam release. It would've been the directorial debut of Milind Rau (who eventually went on to make Aval and Netrikann) and was co-written by Baradwaj Rangan. It's the rare film that's literally almost completed: we even have a whole banger soundtrack from Yuvan Shankar Raja. I'm just genuinely curious about a commercial rom-com from a horror-inclined Milind Rau and Baddy especially. Also starred Divya Spandana in her Vaaranam Aayiram prime stage. It's an interesting film, for sure.

My second choice would be Chennaiyil Mazhaikalam, surya as a romance hero that too under gvm's direction like varanam aayiram, just wow, so many of gvm's dropped projects make me yearn for what could have been.
Chenanail Oru Mazahaikalam - From the recent times, there is a flood of action and crime thrillers, but I miss the feel good movies that I can turn on. In the recent times, I loved watching Sita Ramam and the poster for this movie seems to have the same vibe. I do believe that with GVM's direction there is some polish and as always love his female characters that have depth. Very curious to know what that movie is about and see it on the big screen.

I would want to revive kaan(simbhu-selvaragavan) and karikalan(vikram). Kaan was supposed to be a spy thriller and it would have been amazing to see simbhu in a avatar of selvaragavan's direction. Karikalan was a periodic film and given his performance in ps-1, It would be great for that film to revive.

I feel Yohan with GVM and Vijay would be better to revive. If this film would have happened back then it would have given him a fresh look apart from the boy next door and the carefree characters that he was associated with at that time. Right now with his strong base in Tamil cinema, this project would bring depth and meaning to the characters built around him in cinemas. The density of the character and story would suck in more attention like a black hole. Also, GVM's more experience and his experimental success with VTK would push him to create a fresh yet dark character (Vijay) that would be different from his recurrent ideas of a film about a slumdog to a gangster (which looks familiar). With T67 under the control of LK, it could be wished that GVM will have his take on this film without any others' influence (hope there are no sequels to it, just cut right). And Vijay is in dire need to try out new characters and not fall into the trap of the same box, different pics.
Kamal's Marudhanayagam would also be great but as time passed, I doubt the actors (with all due respects) would get into the supporting roles to actually power and make Kamal's character impactful, making its revival a tough choice to work out in reality. Nonetheless, it'd always be great to see its take on history.

I would definitely revive Marudhanayagam. It is still the most awaited project for the OG Kamal Hasan fans. (You might say I am too young but still I have seen his old films like Oru kaithiyin diary, Japannil kalyanaraman, Aburva sahotharargal ... to name a few.) Ok think about it, Marudhanayagam, in two different versions one being the old film effect with the final stuff being done in the film itself giving us that noir film look. This version could look, the 2000s movies like Hey Ram, Virumandi. The other version must be with fully remastered and full modern looks i.e., CGI and more like some modern historical movies like RRR or Ponniyin selvan ... This movie can set an example of how movies were made in both the 2000s era and the modern era. This could help the movie lovers and audience see the differences and similarities of Cinema in the 2000s and now.

After seeing Inmai from Navarasa, I would love to see Idhu Vedhalam Sollum Kadhai by Rathindran R Prasad. It has an interesting cast, and seeing how well the horror genre (or rather the fear element) was tackled in Inmai, I'm sure this movie would've explored those themes as well.
Answering your question, I'd like to talk about the film "Yelelo" by R.Parthiban. Before Iravin Nizhal, this was meant to be the first collaboration of Parthiban-ARR. In one of the promotional videos for Iravin Nizhal, ARR had said that he loved that storyline and composed almost 3-4 songs for film as well, but unfortunately, the film got shelved due to various reasons. A composer like ARR, who composes for films in a very choosy manner (I'm saying it choosy because he's told in many stages, like recently the VTK audio launch, that he does film scores either for the director, or if the story is very compelling), saying that the story was so good, there would've been some interesting and out-of-the-box content in it!!! So, I'd love to revive this film!!!

i would also try to revive dhruva natchathriam as another spy thriller but with vikram. this and yohan could be in a shared universe because both are made by gvm sir. This movie could be based on vikram who's a senior to vijay in the universe and since he his older his approach to the objective in the movie would be different compared to vijay. vikram could also act like a mentor character to vijay sir in this movie. Both of these actors can nail theor respective roles. i dont really plan on adding heroines to this universe but if i do im gonna give an important role to the heroines in this universe.

This is the movie I wish to revive only because of the visionary mind of MGR. Even today Ulagam Sutrum Valiban seems not so old. The clarity in its science fiction angle, overall geography of the movie, etc. Such an ambitious movie, only a person like MGR can create such a thing at that time. With the same mind behind the camera, Kizhakku Africavil Raju would have been a milestone in tamil cinema.
It's practically not possible to revive this movie in live action today. I guess a studio is reviving this movie in animated format.

Ashwin Saravanan's "Iravaakaalam"
I was not a great fan of Horror movies because it is not so relatable. But both Maya and Game Over is so different and I'm still suggesting those movies to my other state friends. Although Connect was a bit of disappointment for me, I would still need Iravaakaalam to be released as the teaser was so new with no voices but the whole story was conveyed. Great fan of SJ Surya too.

I think marudhanayagam would be best to revive. One of the small reason would be because queen elizabeth had visited the sets of the movie which was about a freedom fighter who fought against our colonial masters so it would have been mind boggling to see her reaction.

Sangamithra - Because, at that time, A R Rahman sir shared in one interview like " this is one of a very good script i have eared in recent times". Am a Jayam Ravi fan but still if the script is that good, they should start again with any actors. I hope it will be a great film for tamil cinema.
