Japan has to be the cleanest country on Earth with the most polite people.
I really wish they had these in America! I'm in medical school and when I'm studying all day for board exams -- I would love to lock up in one of these cafes! I appreciate the quality and serenity of your videos!
😊 What about an empty slab in the hospital morgue ?
The medical library is your best bet, all you need is a sleeping bag.😅
I studied in the closed Starbucks in a quiet grocery store 7pm to midnight. The grocery store manager was kind to let me do that. I found changing study locations at intervals kept me more alert than staying all day in 1 spot.
oooof. In theory, this would be an interesting idea. In practice, i dunno man. I suppose the barrier of having to pay for a membership would hopefully be a deterrent to people who may take advantage of people in an unsecure area.
I know of a doctor who put a camper on the back of her truck so she can sleep in the hospital parking lot.
I'm not a doctor, but I have a mini school bus (originally sat 21children that I have set up as a camper.
So many things about Japan seems so strange to me, but I crave the sense of order and quiet I always see in these videos.
Right it seems less chaotic from the videos I've seen from him and others.
Such a contrast to the inconsiderate arseholes in the US. People her are such jerks they throw trash on the ground or leave it on the counter when a trash can is with in feet. Liberal culture is just killing the US... be as fat, lazy, ignorant and inconsiderate as you can be, because it is your American right!

@@johnnymcblaze lmao
@@johnnymcblazewhat a dumb comment. What are you even trying to imply? You ever been to Japan kid?
Mashed Potato on toast for breakfast is one of the wildest things I have ever seen
I stayed in internet cafes for several nights while I was studying abroad in Japan. I would say its a great experience, on par with capsule hotels. Sure they don't have a bed for you, but they do have more amenities for free. And since I was a student, I got slightly discounted rates as well for my stays. You do need to have proof of Japanese residency though, so tourists generally can't use them.
are you saying you can't get the student discount rate without proof of japanese residency or like you can't stay their if you are a tourist? Im just confused because you said tourist can't use them while talking about being a student studying abroad in japan which i think would already imply you have japanese residency.
You can't stay at internet cafes without a membership, and you need to have residency to get a membership. While in Japan as a student I got proof of residency since I was staying there 5-6 months.
I think it’s a right policy.
@@haggaisimon7748why?
@@socialiism3583 Not in my experience you just need to show your passport. I think it might depend on which chain you go to,
I love this. Quiet, serene, educational, and an awesome perspective you can't get without delivery like this.
If you listen closely, you can hear everyone enjoying porn

japan really is a very convinient country
I really enjoyed this video and was truly amazed at the prices of both the stay at the internet cafe as well as the food itself. Speaking of the food it looked absolutely delicious, the only thing I would remotely be concerned with is the portions but the prices being as nice as they are means I could easily just order more to satisfaction.
All in all this was an absolutely wonderful video and I loo forward to seeing more from you. This video alone has made me want to visit Japan someday so thanks again
I visited an internet cafe in Japan that had a low level table and padded floor to sit on, made lying down much more comfortable. It was also pretty dark and quiet at night.
Thank you so much for sharing these videos with us, I’m really enjoying learning about travelling around beautiful Japan ❤ kind regards from Australia 🇦🇺
Love your videos. Relaxing and informative at the same time, well done and thank you.
Two boxes of tissues, essential accessories in a private internet booth!
I don't see how anyone could. With the top being open, everyone could hear you. 😖
@@englishatheart Be very very quiet lm rabbit hunting ❤

I’ve noticed in my time in Japan that so much is focused on being “away” from your home. You’d be surprised how long people can be at places like this away from home. I’m talking weeks.
To die lonely its a not such a good thing u know
To make a pretty soft serve, keep the cup or cone close to the machine and move slowly. Run the machine, slowly.
To start with, you pack it into the bottom of the cup and swirl a little it as you get it full. Slow and steady is the answer. ❤
The noise inside the internet cafe was soothing to me. I would have no problem sleeping with that as background noise.
Your travel videos are so informative and fun! I’ve had a blast going back and watching them! I really hope to visit Japan someday 😊 oh and I love the “I don’t believe you” about the vegetable juice 😂
Fantastic immersive video, thanks for sharing and thanks for NOT adding music so that we can feel the real vibe. Subscribed!
Wow this is amazing that you showed us this Shrine and the forest leading to it. I bought a painting many years ago that has brought me a lot of peace, and had me imagine where this beautiful woods could be. You have shown it to me today!!! So amazing to finally know where it was painted!
Cool video man. I appreciate you for filming this
This was a nice distraction during an emotional time. Thank you for making such a nice, peaceful video. Be well.
Noise cancelling headphones are essential for sleeping and not just in internet cafés either, hotels and camping or caravaning have similar issues. Nowadays a lot of people don’t care how much noise they make when going
back to their rooms at night no matter what the time. They don’t even lower their voices, and talk really loudly as they walk past other people’s rooms, laughing and shrieking - they couldn’t care less about anyone else.
何でここ動画って外人が長文かいてんの?
When I stayed at one I could hear people relieving themselves... they even had tenga vending machines and a DVD section with... NSFW videos. Yeah, but it was cheap at least.
17:56 It's crazy how ancient trees like this can be found within an hour from the city.
Thank you for making this videos, i love your content so much, your videos and way to edit them makes me chill a lot
Thanks for the great video quality and editing. Not having any music adds to the natural sounds enhancing the feeling of being there. Great work! Always wondered what that big island sitting in the water
Yeah adding music would have totally sucked
i agree

This was so interesting and peaceful and relaxing. Thank you very much for sharing it!
I tried an internet cafe in Tokyo for 3 hours after arriving in an overnight bus from Osaka, and I thought I could get some sleep. Even though I had a better room (fully enclosed, mat on the floor to lie down and the lights could be turned off. I still couldn't get much sleep.
Another thing I would like to add is that towels, soap, shampoo and toothbrush are extras and after adding all the cost up, it may be better just to get a regular or capsule hotel room.
An interesting concept though and it's these little weird stuff that you can find only in Japan is what I love so much about the country😊
I think that's because internet/manga cafes are mostly for all night gamers/readers or people who do "other things," hence the tissues. 🤣
In my countries, internet cafe are no longer exist.
But in here there is chance for happy ending
@@englishatheart Is this fact? Where's your proof?
It doesn't seem any cheaper than a hotel though at $54us for 33 hours vs $35us for a night at a hotel. Can you clarify why people are saying it is cheaper? Looks really cool and I wish non-citizens could try it.
Man, ever since I found you, I am enjoying your videos immensely. Thank you very much for doing what you're doing, when I go to Japan, I will have many tricks and tips up my sleeve :3
Everything looks so clean! Very cool! Japan has so many cool things...
Always relaxing videos, I love it ❤
If this was NYC, I'd be living there the rest of my life!!
Seems awesome, good job on the video!
thank you for bring a nice video to us. With good scenery and experience on public living space. I wish I can try it someday!

Thanks for this video, I feel calm when I'm watching this kind of travel videos
I'm a first time watcher of your vids, and I find them really relaxing.
Just thank you. For your time and expertise.🙏🏻
It’s fascinating how one can finish an entire meal with two pieces of sticks!
Really good watch and love that you go out to other places other than the announced in the title, thank you for your work.
You are a great guide! I’m considering visiting Japan very soon . Your simple style of travelling inspires me to do so 🙏. Thanks.

Thank you so much for this video, dude 👏👏👏 I really appreciated! Greatings from Italy 👋
Didnt expect to watch this all the way through as i came across this accidentally... But you did a good job and indeed the scenery at the shrine was like part of Switzerland. I did a silent retreat in Fribourg April this year (2023) and indeed the area around it had cattle and horses as well. The same feeling of serenity was conveyed through your video. Thank you.
It's so good to see this place, the Shrine and nature, that 800 years old trees...the way you presented with natural sounds is attractive...thx for introducing the beautiful Nagano...
I enjoyed this video so much! It was lovely to see the farm and shrine and such amazing landscape. thank you
That was a VERY long journey/WALK to the shrine! The 800 yr old trees were beautiful & stately. ❤ Yes, that part of the farm looked like Switzerland! What did you shake on your udon noodles? I'm back on my treadmill tonight watching your videos. I lost again at rock paper scissors. ☹️😅 Still walking so, I'll go to your other videos. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us! ❤
Great video love the country side ,woods and great walking paths my kind of trip
You have good videos! And You is still so young, You have the strength to film Your wonderful trips for us! Thank You very much!
Thank you for sharing! The internet booths are interesting and the Shrine is beautiful ❤
Japan seems different and futuristic i love it!
I like your style, very deep and informative. It's like being there with you. ✌️😊
🥢I love how you combined food and a visit to the shrine 🎌
Thanks for the tour :)
The vibrating chair looked very comfortable. Thanks again for sharing your travels! Oh, and "Paper"- we tied 🙂
Thank You for uploading, for somewhere I will never get to I quite enjoyed it.
Great video. Very relaxing! For a big city the people are very quiet and respectful. Go figure!?
i wonder how many people don't turn on the captions when watching these videos because they simply just don't know to do so. lol
Cool video! The net cafe makes me curious, but it's definitely not for me since I'm a light sleeper. The bit about the shrine was amazing!!
We used something similar at a airport when we were exhausted and had hours before the next flight. The downside was they pumped all the flight announcements into the room and the couch that converted into a bed was very hard.
I really enjoyed this video . Very well done . Thank you
Massage chairs are Great....
Food Looked Good too...
Thank you for Sharing....
well who agrees that this is a "you have to pay for things" home ?
It makes me thinking that this could help the homeless so much. If you just size down the living space then they could rent it at dirt cheap prices. This could make homeless people feel confident while looking for a job or a better situation.
Thanks for showing this was cool :)
Thank you for sharing this to us.
"Wow, what an interesting video! I loved seeing the experience of spending 3 days in Japan's cheap public living space, the internet cafe. It's incredible how innovative and convenient these spaces can be for travelers on a budget. The capsule-like rooms and amenities provided look surprisingly comfortable. I've always been fascinated by Japan's unique approach to accommodation, and this video gives a fantastic glimpse into that world. I can't wait to visit Japan and try staying in one of these internet cafes myself. Thanks, travelgeek, for sharing this eye-opening adventure!"
Who are you quoting?
@@jrmybrtltt He is quoting Nelson Mandela, lol.
Said no one, ever.
I would love to travel there just to stay in these things for 7 nights. If I read Japanese I would raid the manga library aswell. Never seen so many thats totally nuts
That was so interesting. I‘d like to try this. The food looked very good.
The shrine is such a lovely place. 🌳🌳
Japan MUST be the most civilized place on Earth... I'd love to live there but it's almost impossible for an outsider to gain permanent residency. I think those two things are connected.
Good long video. It was great. I like them most when they are long!
Очень люблю смотреть такие приключения! Спасибо!
It was interesting. Thank you. 👍
Great video, and yeah great room (especially the second one) and food.
Love this channel

Me encanto tu video, gracias!!
This is so wild, I randomly clicked on this video and skipped to 1:15 and immediately recognized Nagano station and got really excited. Then you went to the internet cafe at my old gym and I thought, NO WAY! Was super natsukashii, thank you for bringing back the good memories!
I enjoyed thanks 😊
Thank you for the video.
Damn this looks so nice.. and how clean it is everywhere.. so well organized. Imagine Japan would be a neighbour-country.. what a deam :3
I love your videos. You're so positive in your comments and you're funny.
and he even beat me in rock paper scissors
Beautiful forest and shrines. I've seen Japanese forests in a number of movies, so they almost seem familiar to me.
Lovely relaxing video. The cafe was like a luxury capsule hotel, except I doubt I'd get any sleep there myself
I stayed in one when I studied abroad years ago. It had a bed. It was pretty cheap as well. I consider it actually better than a capsule hotel because you have way more space to move around and more privacy, and feels less like a coffin.
"just concentrate on yourself" - 10 years of meditation practice in one sentence 🙌
This is really interesting. But I think not for me. I would prefer the capsule hotel, at least you get somewhat privacy and the capsule is actually a place to sleep so it's much quieter. 😁
I really perked up when you went to the shrine. Not sure if I'd like the internet cafe with my back problems, but the prices of the cafe and meals would be worth it for those on a budget.
Your meal part was epic!
Beautifull views ;)
The trip to the shrine looked very peaceful. Thank you for taking us along for the experience. 🙂
Awesome video’m😎✌🏼
Awesome video 👏❤ its so beautiful and nice
This would suit me for a few days. I carry noise cancelling earbuds everywhere, so no problem with the low key sounds....though I do get anxiety about possibly sleeping through a fire alarm. The amenities seem reasonable and the food palatable.
fire alarms are 120 db. ear plugs only dampen 30 dbs (both passive and active) - so all the background normal noises would be silenced but that fire alarm will still be 80 dbs....the loudness of a vacuum cleaner or car horn.
love this video . i subscribed .
A rare face reveal.
It's interesting seeing these after watching a documentary on how these establishments are used by the homeless in Japan to avoid living on the street essentially.
