No, Gloria. Hillary Clinton does not represent the majority of women and men in America. This idea that we owe the next presidency to a woman is delusional, especially when we have the privilege to choose Bernie Sanders.

Of course Hillary does not represent the majority because she has all the money and power in the ruling minority. Bernie on the other hand is still deeply rooted and connected to the majority he represents.

She reminds me of Nellie McClung, the great Canadian suffragist who fought tirelessly to get Canadian women the vote. The reason that it's fair game to criticize Shillary for voting for Iraq is because she is facing a candidate who was a congressman at the time who voted against it. If it is true that Obama defended her saying that he wasn't sure how he would have voted had he gotten the same information and been in government at the time, that's not a defense of Shillary, it's a criticism of Obama. Bernie knew it was wrong at the time, Shillary did not, end of story, she lacked critical thinking skills which led to one of the worst foreign policy mistakes in our nation's history. She was a powerful, influential political figure at the time, whose opinion mattered to a large chunk of the American people, her vote could have created less over all support for the war and probably not have stopped the Republicunts from doing it, but probably could have ended the war earlier.
If we really need a female president, which we don't, we need a qualified president, gender is irrelevant, we should at least have a good candidate, like Elizabeth Warren. I really hope she runs next time around.

I love how in the interview Gloria dismissed the majority of young women in America who want to vote for Bernie Sanders as girls who don't know anything, and just aren't motivated enough about feminism. It seems like a feminist would want to respect the choice of such a large group of women.

"I really don't think that we will be able to recognize human talent in all of its forms until men are raising children as much as women are and women are in the public world as much as men are" -Steinem around 7:20.
Indeed. Equality of outcome instead of opportunity! I really wish the patriarchy would stop forcing women to get all those Gender Studies degrees. I mean, I never see women anywhere outside of the kitchen! I also wish the Patriarchy would stop forcing wives to keep divorcing their husbands for the kids and alimony. I dream of the day we finally recognize human talent in all its forms, when the Holy Woman rises tall from my pedestal, and raises her cup over my weeping castrated fetal worthless body! Amen!

"Trump is not a successful businessman"
This is the childhood of Gloria Steinem........
    From Wiki
....The Steinems lived and traveled about in the trailer from which Leo carried out his trade as a traveling antiques dealer.[16] Before Steinem was born, her mother Ruth, then aged 34, had a "nervous breakdown" that left her an invalid, trapped in delusional fantasies that occasionally turned violent.[17] She changed "from an energetic, fun-loving, book-loving" woman into "someone who was afraid to be alone, who could not hang on to reality long enough to hold a job, and who could rarely concentrate enough to read a book."[17] Ruth spent long periods in and out of sanatoriums for the mentally ill.[17] Steinem was ten years old when her parents finally separated in 1944.[17] Her father went to California to find work, while she and her mother continued to live together in Toledo.....

That older woman, I really hated her rant on how we perceive woman's judgement to be more childish because we are raised by women.
What kind of relationship is she talking about? Even if that first part was true, why do we only hear a man's judgement when we get older? Does the mother just shut up once the child goes into middle school? I know fully grown men who still ask their mothers for advice.

Bill Maher asked what the term "Let's go back" means. The book "Why the Right Went Wrong" by E.J. Dionne Jr. explained to me what that is about. It is a nostalgia for the world of the 1950"s or even the 1890"s.

Voting for a woman for the sake of having a female leader is not only an unhealthy way to look at things and dare I say sexist, but it also sets a very dangerous precedent. If we're looking at a person for their genetics, then what the hell is even the point? I'm looking for a proper, competent leader, not mere representation. I couldn't care less WHO the person is or WHAT they believe so long as they can get the job done and have the best interests of our nation at heart, which Hillary absolutely doesn't. Leave ideology out of the White House

Bernie is more of a feminist than Hillary Wall-Street Pro-War Clinton.
I'm a woman and a feminist & would vote for Bernie in a heartbeat (if I were American). Hillary is not a friend to anyone except big interest groups. She would actually put women getting elected president back centuries, just like Thatcher did.
Disappointed in Steinem and Wagner for supporting Hillary, especially when neither could come up with anything relevant Hillary has done for women since her 'first lady' days.
