When most people think of the A330neo, this is what they envision. A sleek machine with massive engines, graceful wings, and an iconic face mask. If you’ve ever gotten up close to one of these birds, you’ll know just how elegant they are.
But today, I’m gonna show you a different side of the NEO. If you watched my last video, you’ll know that Airbus has been tinkering with its design to address new market needs. And because of this, they’ve maintained a flight test vehicle to help certify all of the changes.
Airbus gave me exclusive access to this aircraft, so I could take you behind the scenes & show you what’s actually new on the neo. And frankly, I was surprised by just how many changes have been made. So come along and let’s explore this incredible bird together.
#Airbus #A330 #A330neo #flighttest #flighttesting - Hry
Didn’t know that the wing was completely redesign , love this airplane , Avianca used to have 332 now they are gone , replaced with 788 , I’m medium size !! Watching you from COLOMBIA !
I loved the subtle swipe the gentleman from airbus took at point re: the MAX debacle at boeing and their just slapping on new engines and sending the plane to market...whereas Airbus was more thorough on their re-design.
love all the information in this video, the A330NEO is the future!
I just flew the a330neo from LAX to HND-Japan via Delta and loved every second of it. I think the ability to take a classic design and make it as efficient as possible is incredible. Huge props to the Airbus team! I didn’t know all airbus planes have the new mood lit cabins. I wonder if this applies to the a220 as well.
Thanks for the awesome content!
My shirt size is a large by the way
What i love about the neo is its amazing sleek look, the redesign is incredible, it looks like a hi-tech airplane.
size : large ;)
Flew one from Lisbon to Miami, the huge size of the engines was breathtaking.
with the A330 Family being my favourite family of aircraft, I can't emphasise enough how the aircraft looks sooo elegant. Learnt quite a new fair bit about the NEO from your video, didn't know that the empennage area was also redesigned with new composite materials as well as the centre wingbox too. Absolutely love the recent A330neo videos that u published recently given how there is a lack of quality videos about this family of aircraft :( as an avid fan of the A330neo, hope that I'll be able to win the sweatshirt!! (size XL) fingers crossed 🤞
Yesterday's technology from the 70's, trying to compete with today's....!!!
787 and AB's own A350 have left this relic in their wake.!!!
go away salty Boeing fanboi
Took the A330neo with Air Belgium from SeaTac to Frankfurt and back a few weeks ago. Smoothest ride I've ever been on. Fantastic plane.
Whenever I heard A330neo I just thought of new engines and wings didn't know that they actually improved the cabin software and vertical and horizontal stabilizer aswell as the weight of the Aircraft very nice plane
My size well I'm 15 so I go with a size 16-17 or large size
The 330 NEO has been in a constant state of improvement and tweaking and it really shows. From its engine and wing similarities of the A350, to the airspace cabin that features all across their modern products, Airbus has really outdone themselves. I work for an airline that flies the 339 and it is just such a beautiful aircraft and i love when they send it to my station once in a blue moon. Also love the frequency and quality of the videos! Keep it coming!!!
Size: XL
Still looking for my first flight on a 330neo. I've flown the A330ceo a number of times from BOS - HNL and back. I just really enjoy the plane and the 10-11 hours flies by!
I had no idea how close the wing size was to the 350! Thanks for the great videos!
You are so lucky to be doing all of this! I love that the neo is with so many operators, I thought there was a handful. The up-close really inspired me to try and get on one, My only hope is TAP or Aer Lingus (Hope they order because the large a330 fleet) Btw size small. Thank you!
I was very surprised about the FADEC. I never realized the engine needs its own computer to move EVERYTHING inside it, and the FADEC is like the brains of the engine. I also didn't realize just how massive the wing is! Almost like the A350, that's huge! Size is XS
It’s nice to get an insight at everything that Airbus has done to improve it’s aircraft while maintaining the essence of the 330. Definitely learned that a lot can change on the inside without passengers noticing much.
I’m a Size M Coby! Keep it up with the amazing videos!
Great insights and exclusive perspectives!! Thanks Coby!
Between this video and last weeks I learnt a lot more about how airline optimise their aircraft based on range and efficiency. Also pretty cool learning about how much more efficient these new engines are! Better for air fares and the environment, a win win! (Xl hoodie! 😉)
I didn't know that RR created the Trent 7000 exclusively for the A330Neo, and worked hand in hand with Airbus to make it an engine that not only was an upgrade from the previous generation, but also one that fit the objectives that Airbus had in mind. I also never really realized what technologies (especially in regards to the engines) the Trent 7000 took from the Trent XWB. Very cool video as always, excited to see what else comes from the Airbus visit :).
(PS. Size M)
They didn't...
It's nothing more than a Trent 1000 engine borrowed from the 787 with an archaic bleed air system ,in place of the electrical system on the dreamliner !!
@@isthatso5616 at moment 5:54 he mentions that the engine was specifically designed with the A330Neo in mind. Although you are right, it is in basis a Trent 1000, there are technologies that have been adapted from the Trent XWB, in addition to the engine being a 2 generation leap over the Trent 1000. It is still an improved engine, and it was still designed for A330Neo no matter who its predecessor was.
@@isthatso5616 ah Boeing fanboi has entered the chat
@@ant2312 And the Triggered Busboy surfaces again to spew his Boeing hatred upon others..
We're all onto your schtick little wee one !!
@@Hypersonic-es6vh AB has done with the 330 neo...
What the heck are you smoking?
loved learning about the trent 7000 engines. didn't know they were made specifically for the 330neo. rodrigo seemed like a very knowledgeable and technical person!
The a330neo is an aircraft thayt has been improved a lot. The engines are basically 2 generations newer than the Trent 700, the wings have been designed to make them larger at the same weight and new material were used. Inside the plane larger spaces and optimazation were the key facts that made the a330neo the perfect choices for many airlines, legacy and low-cost airlines.
Size: L
I knew about the engines, and thought the rest was just a bit of marketing makeup, but now I see it goes beyond that and it really is a hell of an evolution over the ceo, so thanks for once again delivering great content! Size S please!
The flexibility of the Neo is quite impressive. Didn't know that they had such a good product.
I've heard most of the news about the neo before but the interior was new for me so thanks for that! I'm a XL size.
Great video! I enjoyed learning about the different types of software categories. Congrats on going full time! Love the content, btw, I'm a 2XL :)
I learned so much watching this! Cheers!
This video inspired me to learn more about the a330-900neo where I found it's longest flight is MSP-HND! Sweatshirt size is a Large
The neo 330 is truly a great aircraft! Hope to fly on it soon! Sweatshirt size X-L will be fine . Take care Coby. Lee Crolley, lll
Your videos are awesome man! I love the amount of effort you put in to research all this stuff. Loving it. Keep ‘em coming
This is amazing! Im really excited im going to be on one of these soon! With condor
Fantastic video, Coby! I didn't know the A330neo had 21 operators! That's huge. I thought they had only about 5 or 6 operators. It's good to know that Delta has more on order, as I fly Delta 100% of the time. Keep the videos coming, and congratulations on taking the jump into this full time. FYI, I am a large size.
I got to experience the A330Neo with TAP Portugal. It was a smooth, comfortable experience. The cabin layout (2-4-2) is ideal and I arrived at my destination without feeling any jet lag. On-board service was great as well. I look forward to flying them again. Size M
Since day 1 I have loved the looks of the A330neo, I really hope it gets a lot more sales.
I didn’t know the wing was completely redesigned, I thought it was the same from the A330ceo with the new sharklets. It has really surprised me!
My size is L
Really nice insight into the changes from the ceo to neo. I didn't know that the engine inlet is also a single composite piece like on the A350. Other than that I already knew all the points about the new wing, but thats because I'm working on it.
Great video 😊
Loved this video, and the A330 itself. I can't wait to hopefully see more carriers acquire 330neos in the future. I didn't know how different the "empennage" section was compared to ceo, nor did I know that's what it was called, so that was really interesting to learn. My size is inconsistent from different brands but usually medium is good safe option for a middle ground.
Hey Coby! That was a great video, and I learned a lot! The biggest thing for me was the massive engines. Not only are they efficient, but they are also pretty smart too. I did not know that they modified the Trent 7000 just for the 330NEO. Can't wait for the next one, and my shirt size is medium.
I love how the 330neo can be so versatile for airlines plus those new engines are very impressive. im hoping to book a flight on the new 330neo with Delta The cabin also shown is fantastic. XL thank you
I had no idea about the composites used in the tail. Amazing. Size L ❤keep it up, love the content
Love this video please do more like them thanks
Loved the video Coby! I learned that the neo bins and cabin are so much nicer feeling and larger and also that the Airspace Cabin has the same feel rather on an A321neo variant and A330neo or A350XWB! So awesome! Also my shirt size is M
I’ve never flown a neo except for the A320neo but hopefully soon!
More behind the scenes please and thanks
Awesome content!!! I didn't realize just how much they implemented from the previous but newer iterations of the Trent engines such as the compressor and how that helps with improving efficiency in the NEO. Love it. Shirt size is Large!
Hi Coby, first of all thank you so much for these videos you keep publishing keep your awesomeness ! What I really did not know on the 330 neo was that it is after all a whole redesign... of course I was fooled by the neo branding and thought only the engine was new and that in itself is already nice. I also learned that the wing is new and that really was necessary as you said since the 330 ceo wing was designed for 2 different aircrafts. To finish this comment, I’m shirt size M. Keep up the good work, hi from France !
Things I've learned from this video is that the A330 Neo is a resigned A330 Ceo which has 3 main main upgrades: 1.) The engines 2.) The Cabin and 3.) The systems.
Tshirt size is Medium❤
I had never been a great fan of the a330, but the a330neo, has changed my mind. It's larger engines, cabin space and feel, as well as the new design wings with the sharklet, make it a much more interesting aircraft. (XXL) ;)
50 to 1 compression ratio for the Trent 7000 makes it very special. I didn’t know it was designed specifically for the a330NEO. Very interesting video. Looking forward to more. Greetings from MCO.
PS my shirt size is Large
Hi Coby! Thanks for this video! I didn't know that the 330NEO was certified for a max capacity of 460 seats which is pretty huge. Also my hoodie size is medium aha. Cheers from France!
Great new cabin on the a330neo and love the sharklets on this aircraft!
I would like to get that extra large tee
I love the shirt. As a pilot of 330 NEO its a must have. I hope you get it into production. Well presented video. Thanks much.
learned everything from new wings, to 3 gen up new engines, better and the cabin lights omg they look so good just like the 350, hope I can fly on 330neo soon
Size:L
these videos are so cool!!
Impressive!
I didn't really knew how much changes they did to the original aircraft, super cool stuff. I m on high school and my dream is to become a pilot in the a330. By the way, I'm medium sized, that hoodie looks amazing!!
Love this
Great video! I work at the Airbus factory in Hamburg next to the A330neo structure line. I love to see the final product in this video! Because of my job I already familar with the innovations on the A330neo ;).
My size: XXL
I've flown on Iberojet A330neo once from Helsinki to Gran Canaria and back.
I’ve learned everything about this aircraft from you so far!
I doubt I’ll win but I wear a size large
Thank you!
Tolles Video 🇨🇭😇
I learned a lot, thank you. Interesting that the engines now have much more computing power and demonstrates the collaboration between Airbus and RR. Also I felt that the cabin being so flexible would be appealing to different Customers
Thanks Coby , i learnt a lot about the A330 neo today , i hope to see more sales for the A330 neo in the future i do see sales in the likes of asian carriers .
I also wonder if they would build a regional version or a MRTT , i don't think they would build a freighter version since many A330 ceo's are being converted.
Fascinating that this aircraft can fit 460 seats to fit the ULCC model! Also learned about the similar wingspan as the A350, and that the previous version was the same as a 340s. Fit a large
Can't support you monetarily but here a comment for your also needs. But seriously you do some good work, keep it up!!!!!
A330 neo FTW!-high availability & profitability for all-haul routes!
I knew pretty much nothing about the Neo other than the different wings and engine's so it was really interesting to watch, I also didn't know that they actually used steel on the Ceo and now titanium on the Neo for the rear of the engine. I also love the interior design and how you can pick from 16 million+ colours, and the design itself looks pretty modern to me. Hope I get to fly on it some day
Hoodie size: (EU) S
For clarification, the “one piece inlet” really means the inner barrel of the inlet does not have seams. This allows for more, non-interrupted acoustic treatment i.e. better noise attenuation. The metallic inlet lip is made in one piece for smaller engines but unlikely to be one piece on the Trent 7000.
The 330neo looks like a great plane. however just how it is about timing is so crucial in business. its time to garner the most orders has passed.
I learned about the titanium part on the new engine. Very cool. 3X
I learned the Trent 7000 alone provides 11% better fuel efficiency of the overall 14% fuel efficiency increase! I’m a large!
So interesting
Interesting! Thanks! I remember how bad a job Boeing did trying to follow the A330 previously.
This was really cool - like you, I thought the changes from the CEO to the NEO were barely skin deep aside from the engines. Boy was I wrong! While I'm looking forward to my first flight on an A350 later this year, a 330neo will have to be on my list now too - here in Canada the options are limited, but searching for planes that match my routes are half of the fun. Great video! (Ahem - size medium. :) )
I work at Airbus in Toulouse as an aircraft electrician on the A330. And I see, everyday, the differences between the neo and the ceo. But I didn't know about all the wings enhancement!
Did you know that the beluga XL (which is based on the A330 ceo) can carry a pair of wings for the neo, wich would not have been possible with the Beluga ST due to the higher span of the neo! 😳
Medium Size 🤞
I also didn't know about the redesign of the wings. This aircraft is completely awesome 🤩
I am medium size 🙏
I love the bihnd the scenes, keep it up!
Wow I love the 330 neo even more know. Love the fact that Airbus decided to make a entire new wing that just proves that they are dedicated. I'm a large BTW.
Cockpit/A330-800 neo/RR Trent 7000 issues missed out on this video. It's my fav aircraft too :)
I actually didn't know that they reworked the cabin that much, I thought they tried to keep it similar! That's very cool to know and I hope to fly on them one day.
Size: Medium
Thought it was just a engine swap and some shark let's, didn't realise the wings were extended and and the new materials used. Great video 🙂
Size L please
Vielen Dank
Omg! I learned so much, it’s 66 percent karget overhead bins, in Trent 7000 Engines, that engines have lots of software! My shirt size is adult Medium
Great video! I always assumed that the engines in the 330NEO were the primary difference in the model verses the CEO. I am a Delta Million Miler, but I have yet to flyer their version of this plane. I think it is the only model in their fleet that I haven’t flown. Please send me a XXL shirt so I can wear it onboard. I love the design!
First of all, Airbus A330 Neo is necessary to come into the Market because to compete with Boeing 777X, this is airplane that has the Similar Capacity to give a Tuff Competition. As learned from this video, that it has Very new Engine Option, lavish Interior Cabins, the new Equipment, new systems, new Avionics and the new composite materials used along for the Aluminium built in materials are great, such that it reduces Weight Exorbitantly, so better fuel Efficiency and less Greenhouse Gases to say. :)
(BTW my Size 2-XL).
Thankyou for your Nice Content of Videos. We are Learning new thing from your channel day by day. :))
I didn't know much about the neo vs. the ceo, so it's interesting to see how different the aircraft is to the ceo. Men's medium
A321-NEO thanks for flying as well for this year 2023
Coby turning into an Airbus Fanboy! ;-)
Cooool air Belgium 🇧🇪
Never thought anyone would think about us Belgians lol😂
The Air Belgium flight attendants were the nicest I've had in a long time. Lovely little airline, can only recommend!!
@@mhos5730 cool I’ve never flown any airline so I didn’t know, the only plane I flew in my life was a Cessna c172, but for some reason there was no flight attendant 😂 lol
Actually I was not aware of the fact that the A330neo has got a redesigned wing as well. Although that makes very much sense with the discontinuation of the A340 that was not on my radar screen up to now. Shirt size is XL. Best regards from GERMANY
Found out about the new bins, is luggage gonna get bigger now bc of that, 330 Neo luggage. Size large!
i've always had a liking to the 330 but the neo is a renewal with flare. Size small
i thought a330neo was fair bit smaller than a350 so it's crazy to learn that a330neo can be configured to seat 460 passengers. my shirt size is XL
I didn‘t know that the a330neo has a much bigger wingspan in comparison to the ceo. (My size is XL) thanks
WOW!!! ABSOLUTELY STUNNING VIDEO
Check out cebu pacific's A330neo with 460 seats 💺
Thats 747 territory... any thoughts?

Haven't got my sweatshirt yet! Hope that I'm one of the lucky winners. Take care bro. Lee Crolley, lll.
I wish they made a model kit for the 330neo
The speed tape on the wing.
Guys check out Virgin Atlantic's A330neo with the gally, lounge and rest, social area 12:59 is giving me Emirates A380 vibes!!
Size: M
Didn't know the wing-tip is made of composite materials. Want a swatshirt :D
3 things. I Never new that the primary wings were redesigned! Airbus also had to remove to some pylons and different materials for the engine cowling and the primary wing alone.
Another things was that the 30NEO has 66% bigger overhead bins. 66% is a lot!
The new tent 7000s are 11% more efficient thatn the Trent 1000s and older engines that the 30CEO operated!
2:55 I genuinely forgot that Airbus called their winglets "sharklets." First time I've heard the term in a while.
