Who is here after the wolves won game 7, 20 years to the day. Against the defending champs, after coming back down 15 at half, 20 early in the third?
Im here wolves in 7
It's crazy that Kevin Harlan also called in this game too
✋️✋️
On Kevin Garnett's birthday as well!
I'm a couple days late but let's fucking go
The NBA was so fun to watch at this time. KG was a beast and at his peak during this point of his career.
Vs Tim Duncan vs C. Webb vs Dirk
Lol def wasn’t that fun to watch at this time
I’d argue this is one of the worst times of the NBA lol…
@@ACarter87 What you didn't like finals games ending 77-76?
@@ACarter87to a casual yes. but anybody that has ever hooped at a level above highschool will appreciate this era. best of both worlds in my opinion in terms of fun and competitiveness
@@ACarter87bro keep it a buck, you were probably just born in that era so you wouldn't know if it was fun or not. You grew up in this run and gun, no defense era where referees create the superstars by giving them all the free throws they could.
For people that actually played the game and appreciate the nuance to it, we see great defense as fun to watch and not referees allowing superstars to travel or receive moving screens to get their tiny selves some space to shoot (looking at curry for this one)
We have come along way fellas. Like if you are pumped for game 7 tonight!!
32 pts in this era is basically 55 in today’s game, even better that it came in a crucial game 7 playoff game against CWebb.
KG was something different in his prime
Defoisnt 55 but its a great game
Not true. You can’t tell me TMac would average 55
Maybe not 55 but it's like getting 40 in today's game definitely.
32 is around 38 and 40 lol, tmac averaged like 30 back then.
more like 36-38, but still
Legendary performance. I remember watching this series when I was 10
Happy Birthday K.G We back Baby !!!
KG WAS A BEAST
This popping up in my recommended after game 7 win. Lets go! This year’s playoffs is hella exciting!
KG is a monster
I just love the sound of that Crowd 🔥🔥
Well, they're back. Wolves have their best player, Anthony Edwards, who is playing like an MVP.
One of those games where the best llayer on the court shows why he is the best player. KG had that Xfactor. I was extremely pleased when he came to Boston. Perfect fit for both of us.
as a laker fan, had he got injured the season after yall beat us lol its hard to argue boston doesnt at minimum go back to back
This was the last playoff series timberwolves have ever won almost 19 years ago wow
AE5 IS THE FUTURE
Until today beating the defending champions Denver Nuggets it took 20 years
There's a lot of bigman who took threes in KGs era like Rasheed, prince, Villanueva. And they aren't in KGs level. KG would still a superstar In today's game and would easily adapt the threes
I don't believe Dirk was on KG's level either. He played zero defense and exerted energy only on offense. If Sam Cassell and Troy Hudson, the Wolves starting and backup PGs that were playing great, both hadn't gotten injured KG would've got a ring this year and the narrative would've been way different
@@toxicmasculine77I’ve always said the same thing
If you look at where KG shot, he was lethal from like a foot inside the arc. He easily could have took a step back and been 37% or better from 3
@@toxicmasculine77lol tf? Dirk routinely destroyed KG
@@toxicmasculine77dirk would always kill KG on offense😂
KG in today’s era is putting up Giannis numbers
True, but Giannis would dominate in any era. When you’re 6’11 and faster than a PG there is no defense for that. KG would be like Karl Anthony Towns, which isn’t bad.
@@ninjachannel007 boy u sound wild kg would be the best in the nba right now
@@ninjachannel007 Giannis would not dominate in any era. If he played in the 90s, where Power forwards were actually powerful, Giannis would be a small forward w/o a jump shot. And KG was KD before KD. So how tf would he be Karl Anthony Towns?
@@ninjachannel007 how would he be towns when he’s better than towns. More potent on offense, better mobility, better back to basket game, more athletic, way better defensively by miles !!! Kg’s toughness, passion, intensity, leadership is no match for towns. Your basketball iq is in question with that terrible take
@@Brooklyn11236 Giannis would eurostep right by the slow footed forwards of the 90's lmao. Don't diss Giannis he's legit. Also KG plays NOTHING like Kevin Durant lmao. Two very different play styles.
And exactly 20 years later...
Big Ticket . Elder wolf 🐺 ♡
I miss this era
The young KG the way he run the middle lane mane he would love todays pg cause they throwing that alley every time
The greatest power forward & most athletic power forward of all time... KEVIN GARNETT...
People don’t even realize that this version of KG is probably the only player ever that can successfully be the focal for a team on both ends of the court. On offense he could pass and shoot like a guard and thanks to his athleticism/touch he was very adept at finishing at the rim; meanwhile on the other end, he’s arguably the most versatile defender ever, a one man defensive blueprint. The variety of ways he could contribute to a team’s success was truly astonishing. I just wish the Wolves did a better job surrounding him with complementary talent during his prime.
Clearly you don't know Hakeem Olajuwon
@@aldenzel743 fair enough 😄 he might be the only other player tho
@@selimevrengil7445 LeBron 2008 to 2013. He was offensive and defensive leader for his teams.
@@krp6680 probably the next closest after ticket and dream. But since he was less of a rim protector I’d have to say he was less impactful on defense
@@selimevrengil7445agree. Bron was much more of an offensive engine than those two.
Personally though I think KG’s skillset is more versatile offensively. But Dream could carry any offense.
What a legend
"THE BIG TICKET"
Who's here after Minnesota Timberwolves defeat Denver Nuggets in Game 7 today
Got a bug ass 3 on one end and den hella plays later shows a great hedge, a block with 5 seconds left and den a great closeout…..that basically explained who kg was as a player he played hard and never gave up🤷🏾♂️💯
Man if only someone taught Garnett that being behind that line on the floor means you get an extra point if you hit the shot.
it’s way easier to hit shots inside the line, mastering the midrange is different from the 3 kg had elite rhythm for the midrange he didn’t need to shoot no 3s. the game needs more midrange players like demar and khris middleton
@@jetpackdd
That’s fair to an extent. However, there’s many 20-22 foot jumpers that KG took where he could’ve extended it to 3. There’s a difference between normal midrange and deep midrange.
He literally be touching the line at times 😂 & then when you need a 3 he'd hit them.
@@jetpackdd kawhi, Brunson, Jokic, AD, KD. Most of the elite players know how to get to their cheat midrange spots. It's slowly coming back and has always been important.
20 years later
The handchecking and zone defense in the house.
I decided to do some reseach of KG during his Timberwolves years…damn! No wonder he won MVP 🔥 plus this old school playoff matchups are always interesting to watch
Lets go Wolves! Make history repeat itself. Antman!
You can say whatever you want about KG but he truly left it All out there and has been tremendous for the NBA even more so after he retired.
Still have my KG 2004 home jersey.
The only jersey I owned as a kid was a kg home Jersey I bought for $50 around 2003. I don’t know what happened to it

Iconic
‘We win it.’ (2024, WCSF)
Real fucking men basketball
That's how you play DEFENSE. This new generation not even close.
No question his the MVP that season
Kevin Harlan 20 Years ago 😂😂😂😂😂 The Best Commentarist, Today Game 2024 Kevin Harlan again 😅😅😅😅
We are on WCF again 🔥
KG - the Lord of the Ring. And basket❤
U possibly do everything you are legendary
He was better than Duncan. He just played on the Timberwolves.
No. Just no. The disrespect Duncan gets is ridiculous and I'm a massive Timberwolves fan
@@Tib1010then you just didn't watch KG play. It's impossible to have watched KG play in his prime and just dismiss the opinion that he was better than Duncan so quickly like you did...
@@toxicmasculine77 There is zero argument on who the best power forward of all time is. Tim Duncan literally clears in all areas and has done it for way longer
@@toxicmasculine77 In terms of physicality Garnett is better but Duncan had the better mentality.
@@Tib1010garnett was better at his peak imo
WE GOT JADEN MCDANIELS
That's why I like Giannis Antetokounmpo in today's NBA, he just need to improve on FT% and Post Game like Kevin Garnett. But, Giannis already play defense like KG.
Bro how long has Kevin Harlan been around? 😂
Last playoff win series for the Timberwolves until 2024.
They will face Nuggets
C Webb - ask Dirk, Tim and Dirk, they know me real well. Bro ask CZcams, KG always drilled you
Big 🎫
The Big 🎟
We share the same birthday K.G
We back ❤
What a game and season that was!
Really sucks that Sam Cassell got hurt later though
I came back here to watch and hope that Timberwolves can win the West and the NBA Finals for my man KG.
Imagine if Adebayo was like Garnett. Heat would be winning
Imagine if demar was like Jordan. The bulls would be winning. This is such a stupid comment 😂
Spooky
i see so many similarities in Bams game, except kg is not afraid to pull that trigger when hes open, bam has to look to score always!
The big ticket
Timberwolves 2024!
So tired of these blown up stats of today. Scoring 32 out of your teams 83 points is so much more impressive than scoring the same out of 110. If you scaled it up to today he would have around 45 points 28 rebs and 8 blocks.
Timberwolves vs Nuggets 2nd round
deja vu again it will take 7 games and probably jokic or murray miss 3pts and twolves advance to wcf
More like they're going to get 🧹 now 😂
Well there will be game 7. Anthony Edwards doing at an MVP. Playing at a level like Kevin Garnett if not better.
there were so many and 1s at today's standards
idol
I miss these match ups. Prime time KG vsing Chris Webber who was probably more on the come down, still had a really decent season. Both great in their positions duelling it out and the crowd buzzing. 3 pts in it and you can see once he missed it he was devastated. I just don’t find that intensity these days…
He was the first center to often take the ball up the court. Jokic before Jokic.
20 years later and history repeats itself 😎🍻🍺
And with Kevin Harlan again the Commentarist 😅😅😅😅😅😅 with 20 years ago...
Classic
wow
Top 15 player ever KG
This is who Anthony Edward’s is compared to
why did brad miller go up for a 2 with 6 seconds left down by three?? 🤣🤣
Homecourt
He had no flaws
2004. = 32pts 21reb 5 blks
2024 = 64 pts 42 reb 10 blks
I loved KG game I'm glad he got a ring but I wish he would've teamed up with that monster in LA they would've at least 3peated or maybe got 4 rings total together IMHO
2024 timberwolves win over nuggets 💪💪💪
4:48 imagine doing this to Chris Webber...and the explosion to the rim after.
The amount of spot up long twos taken 😅😅😅. Wish coach would’ve let Garnett take that 0.5 step back and let him cook from 3.
Webber's agility no longer the same because of his knees.
lodi
🫶🫶
Prime KG = Giannis + Anthony Davis
KG>CW
Careful, you might have whiny Kings fanboys such as geekUSA and conesobruh, make all excuses why CWebb got his ass whooped by KG.
@@Theterminato2013nobody in their right mind thinks Webber is better than Garnett
Did the refs also rig this Kings Game 7 loss, too?
First
Not better than Duncan
Miss that 03-04 team
