    Whoever told you fass has issues is insane 😂 165 TS on my daily driven duramax for 3yrs without a single issue and even if I did it has lifetime warranty. Fass is absolutely the way to go for lift pumps

      Fass is the best one 👍👍

      Warranty doesn't help me when I'm thousands of miles from home. I see issues on both sides. I try to keep my setup as serviceable as possible and parts I can get same day. I'll take the stock 25psi lift pump with some spin on filters I can get at any napa any day. Just my opinion on the matter.

    • @CPSteveMiller
      @CPSteveMiller  Před měsícem

      Also, I never go off of 1 opinion. I've seen dozens of cases of issues and that alone is enough for me not to want to risk it. Driving 750 miles a day at times, I like serviceability

      @CPSteveMiller internet opinions versus real world testing is where that theory gets shit on sadly. Even when I was not sponsored they had my money because there is no better filtration in any case. Fleet trucks converting to Fass was the first thing that caught my eye before I had my own compound turbo burnout truck

    • @CPSteveMiller
      @CPSteveMiller  Před měsícem

      If they sent me one, I'd test it, but I'm not willing to spend that kind of money when I can get the same filtration with just an inline filter setup.

    Fass pumps are very Reliable. Have them on all our deice trucks at the airport to run the front chassis engine and the rear generator set. They basically idle most of the winter. Never had one fail!

    Have you looked into the fleece unit that goes right in the tank in place of stock. I believe Greg A put one in his dually

    • @CPSteveMiller

      It wouldn't do anything for me in my opinion. Just an expensive lift pump considering my truck only makes maybe 400hp and is on a stock charger. You really wouldn't need one of those unless you're goal was more power. I'm just trying to keep Bertha serviceable and reliable is all and I can get a stock lift pump at any auto parts store.

      It's annoying because it's not a cheap or low rated hitch. At $500 it should stay stout with the little amount of weight I put on it. It's rated at 20,000 lbs

    • @DirectCurrent4u
      @DirectCurrent4u Před měsícem

      @@CPSteveMiller You have the best fix for that sagging hitch right on the back of Your truck! I have had the same issue before so I built my own.👍

    Get a used one off a newer truck, same frame bolts, but it's 2 1/2 receiver.
    About $100

    • @CPSteveMiller
      @CPSteveMiller  Před měsícem +1

      This is a rollpan hitch rated at 20,000 pounds. Even the new trucks don't have that high of a rating. Not that they would work, though. Can't use a factory hitch with a rollpan. Here's the link to it

      @CPSteveMiller  Před měsícem +1

      That and there's no need for a 2.5" hitch receiver. All said and done my hitch and receiver combo is $1200 AND I have a tube welded to it for my engine hoist. Not trying to spend that money replacing something when it works. It just sags is all. I feel like there's a simple solution somewhere
