I had a pdl 106 as my first boat. It was a good platform for smaller bodies of water

It’s a great kayak! I’m fishing the same. I like mine, but it does take some work to peddle long distances.
I have had a 120 PDL for 3 years extremely stable I fish the Great Lakes regularly and it handles the big water very well

it's definitely a little bit slower but stable and solid as you needed to be in big water. I can stand and fish all day in it even in 2' rollers.
I have the Mnin kota Terrova on the bow and it just work so well.
I've been using the Bigwater PDL for a few years as well and just added a 120 PDL. It does feel more stable as for standing up. Good luck in your tournaments!

This will be my second year fishing tournaments with NSKA Central, got the 120pdl middle of last year and couldn’t be happier. Awesome boat!!
I had one for a season. Everything about it is great…except for the speed. You’ll have to get used to that.
The 120 is also a good kayak, killer stability. But you’ll end up rigging it out similarly
I have a 106 PDL here for shallow South Jersey waters and I love it. Look forward to your walkthrough once it's kitted out.
