    You are so right about the paper. I have blocks of. Arches. I wet both side, and it still dried so fast. I couldn't believe it. I have to use it because I have a lot of it, but I will be switching paper once I'm all finished with arches.

    Beautiful! As one who is just beginning to learn the art of watercolor I have a very difficult time with landscapes so the way you brought this painting together amazes me. I have much to learn from you. Thank you.

    Thanks Michael. I'm going to make that swatch reference you used with the Phthalo Green and then go back and do the same with your three primary colors on the palette. That REALLY brings home how well these colors mix with each other and why you chose them!

    This is really informative. It's amazing how many greens you can get out of just Phthalo! PG7 also makes a really nice, dark black with either permanent alizarin crimson or Quin Magenta. I just watched your studio visit with John from DS. Do you sometimes swap out Phthalo Green for Moonglow?

    • @watercoloronlinemsolovyev
      @watercoloronlinemsolovyev  Před 4 lety

      Thank you JDub! 😍 I love Moonglow and this color in my studio set. Surprisingly, this color is very good for both storm clouds and human skin in the shade))

    Love the way you brought this together. I notice how some pigments change places on the pallet for instance cobalt blue in recent videos. How important is it to keep this order of pigments. Cobalt blue is easy to spot but the others not easy.

      @watercoloronlinemsolovyev  Před 4 lety +1

      You are very attentive Michael. That's right, sometimes I swap the blue colors. Accidentally. But only blue colors ))) The rest are always in place.. Thank you Michael!

      Watercolor Online with Michael Solovyev You may think this is funny I loaded my new ECO pallet upside down, thought I was doing it right. Actually I’ve gotten used to it that way. So I can laugh at myself. Thanks for all your support:) :) :)

    Quelle technique! ... savoir faire. . Lequel Devos pinceaux serait le plus utile ?

    • @watercoloronlinemsolovyev
      @watercoloronlinemsolovyev  Před 4 lety

      Cela dépend de la grandeur de votre travail. Si vous travaillez avec un grand format, il est préférable d'utiliser des pinceaux 7 ou 9 lignes + pinceau de calligraphie. Si le format est petit, alors un pinceau avec 5 lignes et un liner de rat.

  • @KeithGShafer
    @KeithGShafer Před 4 lety

    Michael when I try to lift using your calligraphy brush or hake brush it doesn't work for me. The bristles collapse and very little paint will come up. What am I doing wrong?

    This paint is really useful but is very annoying if it gets somewhere it’s not supposed to (like white clothes for example)

    • @watercoloronlinemsolovyev
      @watercoloronlinemsolovyev  Před 4 lety

      Thank you! 😍 That's right. This paint is very difficult to wash out to white paper .... So I use very little for mixtures.
