'Southern Steam rules The Severn Valley Railway' | Autumn Steam Gala 2019

As 2019 heads into its third season, the annual Autumn Steam Gala's are starting back up again and we begin, as always, with one of the most prestigious at the Severn Valley Railway.
The four day event from Thursday the 19th of September to Sunday the 22nd followed at Southern theme, with three guests starring the show. These included:
- BR Standard 4MT 76017 of the Mid Hants Railway.
- Bulleid Light Pacific 34092 'City of Wells' from the East Lancs Rly.
- Maunsell Q Class 30541 of the Bluebell Railway.
And from the home fleet:
- BR Standard 75069.
- Bulleid Light Pacific 34027 'Taw Valley'.
An intensive all day & night timetable was in action, which is distinct to the SVR Autumn Gala's being the only round the clock operation in the country, and the loco's ran on a number of different rakes of coaches and carried appropriate headboards to recreate an atmosphere of a bygone age.
