    There is something with our government of Kenya, because even if there has erupted a sign of danger, it is not taking the necessary precaution to protect who are stayed alongside the cluck area,so that if it happens there further massive movement atleast most lives could be saved.

    The government should be serious, once the geologist had given its report.

    Earth is alive.
    Makes me wonder what's going on beneath the surface.
    Can earthquakes cause this?

    • @nateturton8497
      @nateturton8497 Před 3 lety +3

      It's occurring at a divergent fault...it IS caused by earthquakes, but more because of pressure coming up from a magma plume underneath. It's causing two plates to move apart and is creating a rift valley between.

    • @geraldwatts5492
      @geraldwatts5492 Před 2 lety +3

      Earthquakes of significant magnitude are typically found at transform boundaries (also known as "strike-slip"). As Nate mentioned, this is a divergent fault line, which only cause earthquakes that are high in frequency and very small in magnitude--completely opposite of what you'd see from a transform boundary like the San Andreas fault line.

      This has to do with the splitting of a huge tectonic plate below the earth's surface. Nothing done on the earth's surface could cause this. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_African_Rift

      God doesn't exist. It's a product of tectonic forces that occur everywhere in the world. Things like the Great Rift Valley and Cali's San Andreas fault are prime examples.
