Newaza skill varies among judoka, the best Newaza isn't him, I watch Koji Komuro gotten a honorary BJJ black black and been competing against some BJJ black belt and he submitted some BJJ black belts too, but Koji Komuro is not as elite as Sasaki in the international stage. One advantage Koji has is that he has a Kosen judo background , which I believe helps in his short cut to be awarded a black belt
