Windtrace is back for the fourth time and in this event rerun, there are new mechanics to learn. First is the signaling device which the rebels must be able to repair or restore in order to win, and there are six of them across the map. The Hunter will have to capture the rebels twice before they get eliminated from the game, and while being detained for the first capture, other rebels can set them free.
This speedrun and walkthrough guide will show the right strategy in winning the Windtrace Version 4.6 rerun, whether as a hunter or a rebel to obtain all available rewards including primogems and other in-game resources. Some hiding spots and windward arts choices are better than others in different scenarios.

I used to feel that way a while ago and even now I probably won't do any domains in co-op tbh. That being said, windtrace was waaaay too much fun for me. You should really give it a try, it feels different from doing domains (plus no one can kick you out if they dislike your character or your damage lol)
@@j.j.juggernaut9709 In windtrace people is pretty cool. Don't worry and have fun. Meanwhile in domains you just leave when someone is toxic, there is alot of guys who don't care if you are good or bad.

@@heyytherethe one I noticed the most more buff for hunter and rebel still lose even if you don't get caught. Which is suck and what made this event fun (minus the coop anxiety)
That was way too easy for rebels. I love this version it’s so much more balanced
@@anahitaart7701 Exactly!! The previous one was waayyyy easy for the rebels, they just had to keep hiding till the time runs out. In the current one, the rebels are to repair the device to win giving them incentive to come and get caught, which makes it fair for the hunter.

@@harissiddiqui4418 Middest take I've ever read, this is way easier for the rebels, as long as they have 2 active neurons and spread enough the hunter aint' winning at all.
I didn't read the tutorial and thought I would win by not getting caught but got lose.
gonna be real, this version of windtrace feels like dead by daylight. ex-DBD player here - uninstalled after getting into genshin because i was so done with the game and its toxic community lmao
when i'm the rebel, either me or my teammates get caught first since the map is so small. i kid you not, we spawned right across the hunter. then when i'm playing as the hunter, i end up in a 3-person rebel lobby where they're all friends and most likely in a discord call with each other to tell everyone else what's going on. what an amazing feeling to get gen rushed in genshin 💀 in both cases, the timer for each match is painfully too short to get enough coins for rewards.
i didn't hate windtrace before, now i really do.
Truly a "that ain't me" event.
This is the first ever time i play windtrace and i feel so sorry for the people who played with me on the 1st round cause they had to tell that you could turn in to props after we lost

It's actually easier to play as hunter during this version because the rebels have to fix those machines. So you can find them easily because the machine gives a signal to the hunter if a rebel has been fixing it for a long time.

Hunter doesn't have stamina limit..which means..you can constantly run around from one point of the machine to another to find the rebels..even if they keep hiding constantly..this will make it harder for them to fix the signal..which will you win
Just abandon all the outer machines and focus on the inner few. Makes it alot harder for the rebels

agreed honestly, out of all the cool events i hate this one the most. it’s annoying and unnecessary, fighting is honestly better

I fucking hate this mode. I clicked capture on the rebels multiple times and it went over them but it didn’t fucking capture them. I LITRALLY hate this game mode cuz imma loose either way. I hope they bring the old one back or not at all.
Relatable. I encountered the same problem while playing as a hunter on the dawn winery map. Pressed multiple times as well but won't capture for some reason. There's also a problem with how in the Liyue map sometimes it doesn't register how many machines are repaired already.
Its because of the other person ping.

So what I'm getting from this video is that you have to wait for your elemental skill to recharge and press E while right next to the rebel to capture them? I swear that's not properly explained anywhere on the tutorial or any site I've found online, my first and only time as hunter I kept chasing this one person pressing any key I could think of (I guess E wasn't charged or I pressed at the wrong time) and I had no clue what I was supposed to do to catch them. Frustrating.
I too was confused and ended up lose as a hunter and just realized about this couple of minutes ago but yeah, you get it. It was explained in the windward arts page where you want to change your skill you wanna use when you play as hunter/rebel. "Capture!" with symbol like claw marks(?) stated that it will replace your elemental skill as shown at 07:02 in this vid🥲

As a hunter all you gotta do is hang around the different machines to keep rebels from fixing anything and win like that. Plus there's unlimited stamina and you get notified when the machines gets fixed so they got a massive boost over the rebels even eith the 2 lives

I hate that the hunter can still tag you even if you’re in certain zone, or using the disguise NA button or any other skills. And tbh the “burst” feels so useless cus i have to wait until favor appears but it’s like at such a random place and its only marked on the minimap, at least give me a an sparkly indicator in front of me like when the chest compass is used in open world
They basically judge implied some of the same rules and made it more like dead by daylight.
Tbh, i dont like the idea of the devices, or at lwast how many of them their are, because as soon as a two rheels are caught its gg. No way a rbeel is gonna repair more than 1 machine by themselves. Also it defeats the point of the disguises in a way since you gotta prioritize repairing over hiding.

@@toopided good news is that this event is not time-consuming, it’s actually one of the most most popular mini events that the game has ever done
@@toopided I never got that argument, no one is forcing you to do anything, it's quite literally a time limited optional event minigame. If you don't want to play it absolutely nothing is forcing you. If you want the primogents that bad you can play like two, maybe three games per day and be done with it. It takes you minutes.

what happens if you reached the current maximum of windtrace coins? i'm new to the game
The maximum increases by 1000 everyday until it gets to 6000. Then you won't be able to get any more coins. If you reach the limit for today you can continue playing for fun, you just won't get any more coins until it increases tomorrow.
@@zoeb3573ohh thanks!! I was soo confused that i was limited to 3000 coins only and couldn't get anymore(i didn't play the first few days where the max coins were 1000-2000, just played today and thought i would just speedthrough the event😅)
Can we play this with friends? Or its just random co-op?
Still didn't try it to confirm but the older windtraces if u wanted to play with a friend u had to have all four people as friends

click on "event details" in the windtracer event window and you can exchange them for rewards (primogens etc.)
