- Original leaded diamond glass windows greet people at our projects front door. But it needs some repairs. Kevin finds window expert Cathryn Blackwell addressing the problem. Outside, our homeowners want a colorful buffer between their woodland property and the driveway. Jenn and Fred are planting a bed of perennials that provide color throughout the growing season.

Our homeowners Molly and John are a fun couple, and their designer Shelby wants their energy to be present in the interior decor. Today Molly and Shelby are making design decisions that give a gentle nod in the modern direction, without being too uncomfortable or fussy. Upstairs, the elaborate trim around the landing windows broke during demo. Tommy and Mattie Forde, our finish carpenter, are working on replacement pieces.

Kevin i have here some hundred year old glass, tink. The look on Kevin's face, priceless. When Kevin was helping to install the three glass i thought, nooo , don't help her Kevin .
Kevin, thanks for dropping the glass lol. In the episode where you put in the large arched top window, I felt like commenting that just once, I'd like to see someone on your crew have an oops moment where you accidentally break a window pane. This beat that! I'm satisfied now lol. We all make mistakes.

Last time I touched window putty was 35 years ago when I worked as a house painter for a summer. Lots of old wooden windows with lots panes of glass with cracked old putty to patch up as part of the prep work. Replaced the occasional pane of glass too. I don't miss old wooden windows.
This show is better than Game of Thrones, to me.

Sadly Watching your show here on CZcams vs on PBS is a little frustrating, The commercials are nonstop now , the fact you have to have your own adds to promote the "This old House" brand along with the platforms adds only makes it worse... CZcams mite as well be network TV now ....Sigh ...

I stopped watching Thus Old House when the added OConnor ad host. I think it’s time for him to move on. I would like to see a new face. Some one who knows what they are talking about.
