WOW!! Pure Legend!! I was fortunate to see him in atlanta ga 1982. My sister came to my house in 2023 and she had a hitlist saved into her phone. She gave me her pods and listen to all the songs she downloaded. Then "Eyes without a face" played. What a euphoric feeling!! I completely forgot about what and who the people were on my back porch. I closed my eyes and as Boston says "Drifted Away!! Beautiful ❤️❤️

I came here to rant about world music and singers from the 80s and 90s and I believe I'm on the right page. You singers took the musical comet that passed through here and removed everything that could be sucked from it, leaving nothing for the next generation. You had no mercy. And Billy Idol did worse, because in addition to taking the musicality, he took all the beauty and put it in his own pocket. In order not to be called bad, he shared some of it with A-ha's singer, Morten Harket, who is also very guilty of having almost nothing left for future generations. Now we're stuck there in years gone by because you guys were just brilliant.

Perhaps 1 of the most iconic & yet underrated singers of the 80's he was truly rock n roll before iron maiden.......although he drew a lot of inspiration from the beatles it wouldn't surprise me at all if he's a big fan of deep purple led zeppelin & a few others besides......truly a modest & down to earth kinda guy....that he's still going is a testament to how good he is & how much of a following he's accumulated through the years.....

As I was searching for something to listen to, this song came on. From the very first note, I was in love with it. Songs like this are beautiful, bittersweet nostalgia.

Modern music doesnt seem to have the depth or creativity of the 80s, some of it sounds decent but mainstream music is unlistenable and would have you darting for the off button on the radio, it wasnt really like that in the 80s.

There is just something different about 80s-90s music, cars, fashion and life in general. I dont think life was easy back then but I feel like people in general were happier.
People at the parties were dancing and having a good time with eachother. Nowadays everything is so modern, people are in their phones 24/7, technology runs everything, people are so materialistic and do things for attention, social media and others approval.
Maybe I am just too young and ungrateful but I wouldve liked to experience that.

There's something about 80's songs that just make me happy for no reason, I didn't live in that era but it's so nostalgic that it makes me miss it
They rode cookie cutter 1,2,3,4, snappy beats. Same bass and percussion. They were usually musically basic but such inviting sing songy lyrics for all of us.
This cut has a more artistic depth flavor than that pattern for sure but then you have Jack and Diane held together with finger snaps and a robotic guitar strum. ❤️ those 80's.

Never have I ever shut anyone up on a road trip until I played this song. My friends and I were smoking and joking up until this song came up on my 80s playlists and all of us just piped down, laid back, and listened to this song in awe. Nothing beats the feeling this song gives

I had a friend who was a fan of Billy Idol. At the end of my Sophomore year of High School I remember being at a party and we sat on the roof listening to this song at night. In my senior year he passed away in a car accident, and now whenever I hear this song I think of him.

Yup me 2, I am now 49 and I’ve had a great life. Thank you all 4 grandparents and parents. I can now die happy any day now if I had 2. Not afraid of death anymore. Never wanted to get married and my only son now 19.
The 80s are my latest obsession. There's something about this era that just hits differently
