Im convinced the only reason people say “PRS” sound soulless is because they’re just not the guitars that recorded those 60s and 70s albums. If they were around from the 50s/60s, people would be clamouring for em even more

They do have a soul, very different one :) Cheers

In my humble opinion all guitars and instruments have no soul! The player has to put his/her soul into it to give the instrument alive!

People are stupid. No guitar has soul, the player does

Got mine used this week for $700. Great guitar & great deal. Has acoustic resonance in the middle position especially with the coil split on the neck pickup..

I've had them all and my se MC carty is my favorite. I gig 4-6 times a month and the day I got it I played a 4gig weekend with the stock prs strings.

PRS SE is the best guitar for the cost. Beautiful with very good fit & finish. By itself, the soul is different yes but with different pickups, the guitar is a beast.

I bought this same exact model. The pups don't split. They tap. The tap sounds better than most coil taps. Everything you noted here is correct. It holds it's tune very well, the action is very low with no buzz, the nut is the same as the American models and it's my understanding that the pups are the same as well. Either way it sounds and plays great. Well worth the price.

Nice demo of a great guitar, Juca. My copy arrives this Thursday and I can’t wait! You mentioned swapping the 10s with 9s. You do this on all your guitars?

She’s a beauty, but for some reason, I cannot get used to have a selector switch on the top horn… it looks weird to me (and I love double cut, I love the PRS shape)… I’m just too traditional I guess so I would go for a SingletCut if I would want to have a top selector switch… and if I had a double cut, then I would move the selector on the lower place (like the thinline/SG version)

The scale length on the 594 is 24.594 inches which is actually shorter than the gibson scale of today but more accurate to vintage gibsons in the burst Era

Yes Juca, I agree. It's a beautiful guitar. I like the looks and the sound. What I don't like is the text on the back side of the headstock, that tells us that we are dealing with an instrument made in Indonesia. Every time I read it I question my self: is this a real PRS or a Cort with PRS logo.

I would guess what you are hearing when you split the coil is how prs doesnt do a true split. The way its set up is that when you pull the coil split, it only knocks off about 80% of the signal and not the full 100% that a true coil split would have.

Would this guitar be a good investment? And would it sound good with worship / gospel music? I've tried both the singlecut and double cut and I'm thinking about getting the double cut one in black gold burst so I want to hear it from you on what advice you could give me on it

@@samueldiaz2729I would not consider any guitar an investment unless it’s a true vintage or belongs to someone famous. Buy it because you love it, not with the plan to sell for profit which is the definition of investment.
