[FFXIV] Patch 7.0 Dawntrail Monk Level 90 Sync - Double Lunar Rotation 8 min 30 sec Test

- Here's an opener and rotation for Dawntrail monk at Level 90 Sync contents. This is designed for level 90 ultimate raids. It is probably not optimal, and both DSR and TOP have their own mechanic timelines that require rotation adjustments. This is just a basic concept rotation for reference.

Just heard that the 1123 or 1231 rotation will be fixed soon in 7.01...
So the above rotation probably not gonna work once it is fixed. Errr
With 3 stacks of Coeurl's Fury, isn't better with Perfect Balance to do 3 Snap Punch in a raw, I think it has a better potency if your positional is good (I don't talk about the opener but for the general rotation) ?

Here's what I got: We all know that average damage of dk+boot is higher than average damage of demo+3snaps. It is possible that 3 snap has better potency than 2dk + 1boot case, but definitely not better than 1dk + 2boot case. It kind of depends on how much Cri we can build at lv100 because we need to count critical damage multiplier for enhanced boot. Also, in 2dk + 1 boot case, its not just 3 gcds that we also gain another one more opo ball for next boot.
btw, you can see that in my sync 90 rotation, I always enter PB with opo ball on so there only 2 boot+1dk in my above rotation.

Man this job can't catch a break uh. So we lose the Dot / Self Damage Buff and they don't even test it so that atleast the potency (which got nerfed from Media Tour somehow) try to match atleast a bit our Endwalker damage. And now we are back the BootDK lmao. Shit is sad.
Watch this, they lowered the skill ceiling of Monk so more people pick it up and you can bet your butt it's still gonna be the least played melee job.
Also Leaping Oppo name animation both are bad. Why couldn't they just update boothsine animation huh? Man...

I actually just heard that the "formless DK gain opo ball" will be fixed in 7.01, so the above rotation will not be working soon....
I am so sad with what they have done ton monk, it was the first class i picked when i started 1 year ago. No more dot, no more personal buff, and know the command bar backseat you like you’re a toddler. Idk if you do less damages than in EW tho.
What i liked the most about the monk was that you had to be focused a lot more, keeping an eye on your dot, positionals and it rewarded you with big damages. Messing a rotation was quite problematic for dps and you had to be focused
But now i feel like i can play in autopilot and put my brain somewhere else and i really hate it now

Compared to endwalker monk, dawntrail monk is now easier for new players to learn because the twin snakes buff and demolish dot are removed. You basically cast gcds as prompted, and you’re good to go. With that being said, the dps ceiling is also lowered because of the removal.

Any idea how it compares to othe melee dps at this point?
haven’t tried other melee yet but have seen some simulation documents that saying monk is almost the lowest melee dps for now. But SE will probably make adjustment soon before savage raids release
@@GKAveragePlayer Thank you. That was my concern. Hopefully they do. Monk was in a great spot pre change. They lowered the ceiling too far I believe.

I'm confused as to why your opener in the description says to only use Bootshine and DK.
It's just Double Lunar opener, you can also do Solar Lunar and the second and third gcd would be different. But like I said, this opener/rotation just died yesterday in new 7.01 patch. :c
