      Hello there Mr Metz! Great to hear from you sir! I've had some awesome feedback from the owner who is loving his rig. The gennie is working out great.
      Hope your RVHauler is behaving well these days!

    Okay, Gregg's Flux Capacitor power engaged ... Just a little jump into the future ... Oh wow, I see Gregg is now 3-D printing his RV Hauler beds! The 2023 version nonetheless gets 5 stars by me. We still have about 5years until retirement, but things are looking good. I want one of these times to try out that 4 step idea for us old motorcycle injuries. You know the RV stairs that flip down from inside? I know it's impossible on an HDT, but some form either attached movable that I would pull off the bed to plug myself, not quite doggy ramps. The flip down RV steps are doable because we installed the handle with the second handle loop. Anyway, I am going to prognosticate for a while until I get the right vision in my head for an Imagineering session. Cheers, Davey & Sheila.

      Hi Davey and Sheila!
      Ohhhh, I'm totally following your thoughts on the removable step idea. Now you've done it, I'm thinking of ideas too. Let's chat and bounce around some ideas. I love brainstorming phone calls! I fully admit there are super smart folks out there and I greatly appreciate it when they are willing to share their cool ideas with me.

      @@rvhaulers Gregg, most of my ideas have always been ahead of their time. Even when we ride in a 3/4 ton truck she has a stepping still to get in. It wouldn't matter the truck, I am used to retrieving the step. Obviously at the diesel pump there is not room for a removable step idea, but we find she can climb down a lot easier that trying to climb up, so it hasn't been an issue at the pumps. An FRP solution might also be considered?

    Very impressive, especially the on-board generator. The only question that occurred to me was generator maintenance. I had Onan generators in both of my previous motor homes. They worked well, and you could not have expected better service than I received. That said, routine maintenance was ugly. Draining the oil out of the bottom of the generator was no big deal, but adding fresh oil in the top was gruesome. Both generators were fixed in their basement compartments. What would have been so much nicer would have been slide-out trays, so that the whole generator was exposed. Regardless, I learned to persevere and overcome, but I really dreaded routine maintenance day. Thanks again for another terrific video. Lou from Georgia.

      Ahhh, great question Lou - the oil fill is right at the front of the gennie on this design. Remove that front panel, and voila! I also designed the undercarriage structure so all the maintenance is easy to get to.

    I got a question for you buddy love the idea of HDT pulling 5th wheels because of the safety but here's a safety question for you when people buy your rigs that you customize do you suggest getting permits to travel through States because there are only a couple states that are 65 ft Most states limitations are less than that

    • @rvhaulers
      @rvhaulers  Před rokem

      Hi There! Thanks for taking the time to pose your question. No, we do not get permits. We are non commerical of course, and titled as motorhomes. I am glad that you are aware that each state has their own lengths. Yup, we are apologetically LONG, and my clients just drive.

    Price compared to steel bed?

    • @rvhaulers
      @rvhaulers  Před rokem

      The CANBed costs between 1/3 and 2/3 the price of a steel bed (depending on how fancy you want to make it). It is a pretty good cost savings!
