To elaborate a bit on Glide Steer: the rod that is shown moving in the slotted plate behind the front wheel is the actual Glide Steer system in play. That rod runs to the rear transmission, and when pulled by a turn of 70* or more (shown when the wheel makes a left turn) disengages a clutch on the inner rear wheel. That wheel then receives no power (notice on the turn radius demo that the rear wheels are not spinning at the same rate), the front drive can pull the machine into the turn, and the rear wheel does less abrasion to the lawn. That's what really sets it apart and gives it the phenomenal maneuverability for a lawn tractor. Great demo!

Hills You dam right! I love my Kubota I would not trade it in. I wish can boost rpm up a little on the diesel an come up with a 60 inch deck.

Thanks for the video. Wish I seen more of this tractor. In Pennsylvania a couple of the local dealers have tried to push me towards the BX. Nice machine but we have one at my work and one complaint for me is the rear is narrow on it and doesn't feel as stable on hills and worse with the cab on it. Nice machine though but have been thinking about the GR. I guess if I needed to I could check it out at messicks. The GR 2120 seems to sit between the x590 and x758 John Deere. I think the GR would be even better if it would fit Carlisle all trails on it but probably too tight for the front if they rub. Also be nice if the snow plow had power angle and the snow blower chute angled with hydraulics also like the x700 Deere. I'd say though overall Kubota is great and their diesel engines are best 👍

Coming from someone who sought this machine out to mow safely on hills, this thing lets you do utterly stupid maneuvers for any other machine and still stay planted. I can highly recommend hill mowing, especially if you can find fair priced used example.

one question. is the deck interchangeable with any other mowing deck Kubota makes? Not a huge fan of stamped decks. I have a 54" 2120. The deck is showing its age. I would like to replace it with a welded deck.

Go get one you pay what you get and its worth it! I love my Kubota the only thing they need to improve is the filter system it clog it won't run.

I bought a gr2020 to replace my JD x534. I couldn’t be happier. 10x the machine the JD was.

Did they get the transmission and the glid steer problems fixed.

Yes those were fixed a few years back, no issues on the recent models that we have come across!

I went to go look at one at the local dealership but they didn't have one. I asked about getting one and they told me to get a BX because the GR had a bad transmission. The BX is too big for me, but at that price I don't want a bad transmission issue. Does it have a bad transmission?

The GR series has been known to have more transmission issues than the BX series. I would not say it is a common issue, and 95% of the time you wont have issues for a long time, but they do have more issues than your average tractor. Since these are used almost solely on hills/slopes and grades it does put a lot of continual strain on the transmission that most units don't experience. I would buy one without a 2nd thought, but make sure you have a good local dealership first!

One thing to watch for with the literature on the GR's is what year/model they're referencing. The 2100, 2110, and earlier 2120 models have earned the reputation they have, particularly for leaking. Mine is a 2018 model 2120, and has performed without issue.

Those buggers are pricey. Good quality is not cheap

Looks like a nice machine, but that telephone pole radius steering looks a little exaggerated.

For the price of GR, the smallest BX has more value and options. Besides, battery operated riding mowers are eating the lunch of the residential (cutting an acre or less) gas powered riding mower market.

Its a garden tractor, not a "riding mower". You make it sound like its a $2k Yard Machines mower at home depot. A riding mower is what forest gump rides around on....
