#gameawards #gameoftheyear #goty #geoffkeighley - Krátké a kreslené filmy
This should be the intro for the Game Awards!
Never understimate Nintendo fans. They defended Scarlet and Violet broken mess on day one, They might band together for Mario wonder (objectively better quality/prepared Than that Pokémon game)
@@gabrielpineirogarcia2078 As a Pokemon/Nintendo fan boy, I took great offense to the state SV came out in, and still has to this day. And while Wonder however does not have these issues, but I would be surprised if Wonder won. My vote is BG3.
What does your reply have to do with OP? Persecution complex much?@@gabrielpineirogarcia2078
@@gabrielpineirogarcia2078 Do remember that fan votes is MAYBE half of how TGA handles voting. Alana pierce made a great video about this a couple weeks back as someone in the industry and has been one of the people on the voting board (if you can call it that) of TGA.
@@Lrbearclaw not half
its clearly stated on the website
Winners are determined by a blended vote between the voting jury (90%) and public fan voting (10%).
Leon parrying the flashlight's light made my day
And a rolling death machine!
That made me so happy to
As someone who did not play RE4. Is the knife that op in the game?
@@zeexiii it's an exaggeration, but it is strong enough to parry a chainsaw hit before breaking.
@@zeexiiiin the original, you shoot an enemy once in the head, kick them, and then knife them until they die. That's about it.
In the remake, the knife breaks but can be repaired (or use disposable weaker alternatives like kitchen knifes). It can be used to parry almost every attack (if you can't crouch under them, you can parry it). The parry as an essential mechanic if you're playing it on harder difficulties.
Astarion pocketing the whole vehicle and getting encumbered sent me to the moon
Honestly was expecting him to become encumbered when he stole the award from the Merchant
I admit I died laughing at that too
I laugh so much that this heard my neighbors
Should've sent to camp
no you didnt dont lie smdh
Link affixing the critical hit dice to his weapon is legitimately brilliant.
Leon parrying Alan's flashlight gave me the best laugh I've had in months
Yeah bro, the knife being the strongest weapon in the game is silly willy XD
Same! and then he knife-parries the TotK monstrosity-car kkkkkkkkkk
I would watch more half an hour of this mess!
I've never played Alan wake, what is the context of the flashlight?
@@jacobbrotbeck8652to put It simply, all enemies in both games are weak to light. The most common way to deal with them is using a flashlight to stun them or make them weak to your weapons.
That's why a flare gun is the most powerful weapon in the Game, capable of even take down various foes at once.
I'm not so familiar with Alan Wake 2 but the context about the first game is that the enemies are weak to light. They almost only appear in the night and a light source (usually flash light) is needed to break their invulerability.
The flash light also provides informations by revealing signs or traps made by reflective materials (they start shining when you point flashlight to them) and acts as the role of crosshair (the game don't have traditional crosshairs or aim-down sights, you just shoot at where the flashlight is pointing), it's basically the central machinism of the game.
Astarion making the crucial mistake of not having karlach carry everything.
I was surprised he even had the option of picking it up, looked heavy enough.
Withers even made fun of my Tav for that.
Yup... Wildheart Barb with the bear passive that doubles her carrying weight. 420 without even boosting her Strength.
Send to Camp is ur friend
He could with the big club of strength 😂
Seeing Leon try to put in the gem had me dying. The flower getting smooshed was icing on the cake.
What flower is that?
@@HazhMcMoor Super Mario Wonder. Little flowers added for "flavor" to the levels that would give you very useless commentary.
Even after watching the VGAs first and knowing who won, this was priceless.
Carbot, you sir are a real treasure.
Gale missing with Ignis was beautiful!
Ignis? This isn't Dragon's Dogma. Firebolt :P
Ignis! *Miss*@@theangler1922
@@theangler1922bg3 has incantations when casting spells. Firebolt's ignis as well. Latin i guess
Aka igmiss
Should have magic missile him. 100% acc
Awesome year for games! We are all watching the game awards together tomorrow night! Cant wait to see who wins and the new game announcements! What are you looking forward to most? Who do you thinks gonna win? For us, its hard to choose but over all we are guessing/hoping Baldurs Gate 3 for Game of the Year.
Marika should get it 😏 and then grow the Erdtree out of it.
This was epic and hilarious. Thank you for what you do.
I'm more sad about who's not gonna win. I mean BG3 raised the bar for RPGs for sure, but IMO Zelda TotK raised the bar for adventure games.
F me, Elden ring dlc confirmed
Zelda TotK or BG3
Link was such a goofy agent of chaos during that, I loved it.
Credit where credit is due
Link in the game is peak adventure goblin.
Alan surviving with just a flashlight amidst the chaos… he got my respect lol
It’ll be interesting to see which comes second to Baldur’s Gate.
Probably zelda
Well i actually feel like it could be Zelda as well no? The Community really loved this game
You and your bear lover will not win 😮
@@georgplatzer8213 Yes, I don't know how the awards are decided, but if it's community love then any game has a chance.
From a purely artistic point of view BG3 is a much bigger statement than the 4 millionth 3D Zelda game. The step up from BG2 to BG3 is light years bigger than the half-step that is between Breath and Tears.
It's also a LOT more work. The voice acting and dialogue alone clearly took a ridiculously long time, and Nintendo just doesn't do voice acting anywhere close to that level.
BG3 helped revived a niche genre, TTRPG CRPG , that was pretty much only limping along thanks to Pathfinder. Zelda was just a perfected model of something they already released a while ago.
By any artistic or achievement metric BG3 should be 3 to 500 times more worthy of GOTY than Zelda.
@@kalieffoster4607 there is almost no chance that anything other than BG3 wins. Miracles can happen, but its highly unlikely. only 20% of the vote is fan vote. The rest is all industry people. The only game I think that has a small outside chance, due largely to it having just released and being so damn good, is Alan Wake 2
Astarion stealing the whole Link glider is so... Astarion
they should thank their luck it wasnt Dark Urge
Leon truly is the parry god. He can literally parry anything, physical or non-physical.
Leon is a god
The Elden Ring main theme at the end is priceless 👌
Leon just deflecting the flashlight was pure joy
Baldurs Gate has my vote!
I agree, I never played a game so much in a year.
And my axe !
@@Raxatlix And my Bow!
@@Mr.V-7 and my panties Shadowheart
@@Mr.V-7 it is wizard time... fireball mudda fuccer
As if TotK wasn't already basically Infinity War with Link gathering the infinity stones, here we see him actually using the time stone to undo his defeat!
Alan and Leon had the best moments, they absolutely killed me
I love how Astarion is now the default face of BG3.
Well actor did won some awards.
He sort of always has been. Hes front and center in the main marketing materials
Everyone loves a super sexy vampire with a deep voice and an english accent !
Tbh I only bought the game for him!!
@@Alien0Pdeep voice? Wtf?
Trying to shove the ruby into every side and angle of the statue was Chef's kiss.
Link fusing the NAT 20 had me dying lol 😂
Link's expressionless face as he rewinds time as the others stare on in bewilderment
Please make the ending of that animation for the winning game afterwards 😂
Baldurs Gate is going to take this one for sure
Yeah, Larian Studios just KNOCKED it out of the park on this one. They are all great games... But Balders Gate Three is in a realm by iteslf.
It's a toss-up between BG3 and ToTK. I'll be happy if either wins.
BG3 , came out of nowhere and people that didn't even like turned based CRPG enjoyed it
Baldurs Gate 3 SHOULD win this one for sure, but voting is by the general masses and Nintendo games get a large amount of normies.
@@tonydalimata Wasn't out of nowhere. It was well and long hyped.
1:29 Gluing the critical success roll to your weapon is brilliant!
Someone rolled a 20 at the games awards
2023 will go down as one of the best years in gaming.
Alan hitting everything with light and the merchant just throwing coins in Leon's face were just so funny
The gemstone joke with Leon was goated lol
The knife just beating everyone
Carbot on point for this
I didn't get it, I only play good games like Baldur's Gate 3 ☺
@@AmishMicrowave You can put gems to treasures in RE4, so that you can sell em with higher price.
I got this joke, since I've played all the best games this year.
@@AmishMicrowave bg3 wasnt good tho
That Link, linking the dice was genius and funny and Leon with his knife parry gave me a good laugh damn lol
There should be a part two after announcing the winner
So good to see that Baldur's gate is represented by the sass bundle himself.
Don't touch me.
As always, the use of Link sounds with his animations is inhumanly perfect.
Oh hey. Baldur's gate 3 just roll a 20 on winning the award. :D
Neil Newbon got voice actor award and BG3 WON!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Honestly a lot of great games this year, but I haven't seen the impact baldur's gate had on people in a long time. People I know who had given up on video games got pulled into it by another friend wanting to play and loved it, people who didn't really like the CRPG genre (like myself) had a blast with the game. I loved tears of the kingdom, was certain it'd win game of the year, and baldur's gate wasn't even on my radar when it came out, that should highlight just how big of an impact baldur's gate 3 had.
exactaly why i thing bg3 is winning. Its a year of great games, but bg3 made people who wouldnt normaly play crpgs play crpgs, just like how elden ring made non soulsborn fans into soulsborn players.
i love mario wonder and it is such a desperately needed refresh of a gaming titan, but gotta give it to balders gate.
@@rosewood_uwu8865Armored Core 6 did something similar with the Mecha genre , which was probably even more nieche then CRPGs here in the west.
But yeah, while it was great (and my fav. new game of the year) it still lacks the mass appeal of the nomines and while great compared to many older mecha games has still a way to go before becoming a true GotY.
Meanwhile totk went full bad piggies and it worked
@@mapmakerlich I still don't get what's so nice about that game.
Tried it at a friends place (my last self owned Nintendo Console was the SNES) and it felt less appealing then Genshin Impact...
Then again i never rly got into Zelda even back in the Gameboy/SNES days...
Leon parrying the light whit his knife got me XD
If you’re wondering what was Leon doing at 2:03 he was trying to insert the ruby in a slot (that the award doesn’t have) so that he can sell it for a higher price exactly like the game.
The flashlight attack had me rolling!
I hope Geoff put this in the show
It would make my day... no... my week :P
He'd sadly have to pay him a ton to be on the show.
I love the fact that Link is just having fun with those powers in this video
"Hyrule, schmyrule. Let's go build a Mechazoid!"
Might be one of the best animations you've made yet. It feels perfect for this awesome year of gaming!
I can't think of a better animation for the game awards than this.
Starfield's in the corner huffing glue.
With Diablo 4 sniffing Starfield's butt.
@HuwPewPew diablo 4 was so bad that I totally forgot it came out this year
Starfield's living rent free in your head huffing glue lmao. Seriously, I'm on xbox and I don't even think about that game as much as y'all do.
@@HuwPewPew where they both fucking belong
@@TheDrsalvation no need to think about how its nowhere near goty.
Can't ever have Link involved in any video without some good ol' korok torture 👍
The lasers turning on on the vehicle killed me.
what are the lasers?
@@leshie687beam lasers you attach and pretty much wreck your enemies with ur vehicle
This was so great! I laughed out loud plenty of times, as well as overwhelmed with appreciation for the year in video games we've just had. This should definitely be shown at the ceremony.
Surprised that Astarion didn't provoke an opportunity attack from the Merchant. His sneaking really is S tier :)
Gale missing with that bloody cantrip 🥴
Too realistic! Cast that with Astarion or Shadowheart, and they'll hit. But the archwizard? Nope, miss. I still like my archwizard.
2:25 The flashlight JAJAJAJAJ, loved it.
BALDUR'S SWEEP
BG3 is the most incredible experience I've had in my 30 years of gaming. (I'm 35)
I don't see a world where he doesn't win.
Baldurs Gate 3 for sure
This was brilliant! So many awesome details and references! Incredible job!
Love the Elden Ring BGM introduced at the end of the video to show this is truly a year of gods battling against each other. Truly EPIC!
The Elden Ring theme was the icing on the cake ❤
They better fucking drop the DLC trailer and release date
@@akechijubeimitsuhide I'd bet money that there will be a trailer. I think they'll drop a release date like 1 month before it drops though. Or they do some wild shit like "oh its out right now, lol". I swear the Elden Ring release came outta nowhere, and it was just terrific. Wouldn't be surprised if they did something like that again.
Pretty sure it's Baldur's Gate and I haven't even played that game yet
Carbot. You live in your own world for real. Your animation is the best one can ever hope for. Representing 101% of the source material in a funny way. You rock man !
Awesome animation! The Elden Ring music at the end was a nice touch as well
That Elden Ring soundtrack at the end of it all was just perfect. Chef's kiss.
Carbot’s way of telling us there will be a DLC trailer at TGA.
BG3 FTW
This reminds me of Terminal Montage's "Battle Royale" animations. You guys nailed that chaotic style!
First time watching this and you somehow showed the appeal of quite a few of the games all while in the animation. Like breath of the wild with the power, Mario has the iconic characters and transformations, Baldurs gate has thievery and shenanigans, spider man is swinging around, and idk the rest
I was genuinely invested in the storyline...
My favorite this year is definitely Baldur's Gate 3 :)
This is the best thing I've seen in a long time!
Only thing this is missing is a ship from Starfield trying to catch up the whole time.
That RE4 knife is the real MVP
It's in Astarion's inventory, therefore it's his.
Them's the rules.
I love this - branching out to All The Games. Great stuff team, you can see you had fun!
Holy shit this is so great representing each game hilariously.
GO! GO! GO! BG3!!!!
This should be in the show!!!
Having Elden Ring's theme play at the end was such a great homage to last year.
Please, now one with the "Please Wrap it Up"!
Leon hitting Alan wake with the Knife party is too damn accurate lmfao
I like how the Award looks so much like the Angel Lamp. Suits Alan perfectly.
You guys always make me smile. Thank you.
I love The Game Awards, look forward to them every year - I bet Geoff would love this! :) awesome vid!
BG3 has my vote, but the way you made Alan Wake fight had me laughing so hard!
Awesome video!
I thought it was perfect, that's our Champion of Light alright! (BG3 still wins though).
I don’t care who wins so long as we get to see the majesty that is the Flute Guy preform again.
That man deserves to be president of the world.
He will be there, he announced it on his twitter!
This was hilarious and so good! Thank you once again
I hope its BG3 for several reasons. But they are all solid contenders. But I really hope lararin get it they deserve it And honestly It'd be great to see a smaller dev group win it.
BG1 bird chirping after the first five seconds made my day already. :)
Let us embrace dedication, work and love through Baldur’s Gate
I would, but it left me encumbered.
NO!
The opening theme of Elden Ring in the end is perfectly perfect.
This was so well made, great job!
Super fun and creative. Thank you. I loved Leon parrying the flashlight. xD
I can't imagine BG3 not winning this. This game has too much to offer for what we are used to nowadays.
Just wait for nintendards prove you wrong.
@@Noobochok”TotK really tickled my fancy at 720p with unstable 30 FPS, TotK for game of the year!”
@@makotoyuki9498 "BG3 really tickled my fancy with periodic crashing, quests being bugged, large fights taking 10 minutes for one enemy turn, NPCs getting stuck both in and out of combat, 3rd act having far too many bugs, framerate inconsistencies, and quests that barely conclude any of the story lines. BG3 for game of the year!"
I love BG3, and TotK, but you're acting like BG3 doesn't have far worse glaring issues than 720p 30fps.
@@OnTheRocksGamingShow Hell no, I’m not attached to any games from this awards show. I know that BG3 and TotK are both solid games, and both have flaws. But like, damn Nintendo really priced a $70 game that runs like shit whenever you use the abilities.
@@OnTheRocksGamingShow Actually, now that I think about it, I am not particularly interested in what wins GotY this year. But I do know one thing, Dave the Diver for best indie, who doesn’t love a high budget “indie game.” Destiny for best community, because they sure as hell earned it for putting up with Bungie. Cyberpunk for ongoing, gotta pat them on the back for the broken launch. And Alan Wake for GotY because I sure do love walking.
Tbh i would watch a series of this mixup!
Also details were great!❤
0:42 The most accurate Gale gameplay ever
THIS WAS AWESOME!!!
I really hope baldurs gate 3 wins, but that would mean the industry would have to realize that giving devs complete control and letting them take their time is a successful model to making a good game, which in turn can sell really well, and modern gaming doesn't want to do that, it's too hard.
Watch them give it to Alan Wake 2
I think the industry is fine with it. The stockholders and the corporate monsters at the top of each of these businesses are the ones who don't like it.
Remember when blizzards motto was "Soon TM"?
Now it's "55 new updates and things to buy, here are some trinkets and items and incentives and half baked content omg".
Your animations are always cute/hilarious, but omg this one was SO GOOD! Particularly the part from 1:45 to 1:55 haha I watched it 5 times in a row :D thanks for this!!!
O man plz do this every time. This was hilarious. Can't get enough of Leon slamming the gem into the award.
Masterclass in Segways, lol this was great. I am totally biased with BG3 being the only one I’ve played of these.
This was absolutely brilliant, they should play this at the game awards!!
Thank you for this wonderful blessing to my eyes and ears today. :)
there is just no limit to your creativity. Love carbot!
