Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated is a much more adult take on the Hanna-Barbera cartoon network franchise. Shaggy and Velma date, Fred grapples with his sexuality, Daphne gets friendzoned, scooby eats his scooby snacks, and there is an ongoing plot that we follow. It is very funny and comedic and serious and the animation looks amazing. Scooby Doo Mystery Inc.

Velma or scooby boo movie 🤔

How did you comment 13 hours ago, but you posted the video ten minutes ago?
Even heard of the sequel to Steven universe future I know you would probaly not watch but Steven literally kills jasper 💀🗿
Fun Fact: Matthew Lillard screamed in his car for several minutes to get his voice hoarse enough to play Shaggy. It caused more than one awkward moment. He later talked to Casey Kasem and learned that the shaggy voice is right in the range where the voice starts cracking. He did such a good job that he became the official voice of shaggy after Kasem retired in 2009.
Casey Kaseem voiced Shaggy's dad in Mystery Incorporated animated show.
To be Shaggy, you gotta sound like Shaggy.
Lillard succeeded.
That's really wholesome.
Is he…a pyschopath? Seems like a very extreme thing to do…
Thats pretty cool. And with Kasem kinda passing the torch in a way as well.
Fun fact: this movie was originally going to be a pg 13 self parody of scooby doo; where shaggy would’ve been an actual stoner, and Velma would’ve been actually gay, but after realizing kids would want to see it more, Warner told the team to cut a lot of adult stuff out, giving us a demographically confused film.
I think this is one of the best Scooby things, because of that. I think restraint is often a good thing.
We still got bad with it Velma, and my younger self really appreciated that.
Now she voices Hot Dog Water. (Linda Carellini)
They kept some adult jokes at least. Also the deleted cutscenes were AMAZING… too bad it wasn’t pg13, would have been way better.
Still love it tho💖
well then you should be glad to know wb made her bi
And then the Velma show happened and Warner Bros. was either asleep at the wheel or too late to stop it when management changed.
This movie is EXTREMELY important for the Scooby-Doo franchise, because it gave us Matthew Lillard as Shaggy. He is now the character's official voice actor, and is, in my opinion, THE BEST voice actor and actor Shaggy has ever had.
Casey kasem: am i a joke to you
@@WSendam Casey Kaseem voiced Shaggy's dad in Mystery Incorporated animated show and passed the torch to Matthew Lillard.
Also Casey Kaseem is an old man and now Frank Welker is the last of the OG Scooby-Doo voice cast.
Dude’s performance brought Shaggy to life.
The clip where they talk about him was perfect.
@@WSendam casey kasem is so good
lillard is a good successor to the role tho
@@TheWarmachine375you know he died back in 2014, right?
Somehow this movie pays more homage to the Scooby Doo Franchise than Velma 2023 ever could and will.

If you guys don’t know, Linda Cardellini is both Velma in this film and Hot Dog Water in Mystery Inc. She’s also Wendy in Gravity Falls
Bro SHE WAS WENDY????
Which means, she's also CJ in Regular Show!
Freddie Pinze Jr. (Fred Jones) is the voice actor of Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels.
The actor for Shaggy (Matthew Lillard) is playing William Afton in a FNAF film
I did not know Wendy's voice actress from Gravity Falls played Velma, what shock for me. It was also a shock to me to find out both Shaggy and Stu from Scream were played by the same perosn
Even though the live action Scooby Doo movies still have their ups and downs, They are still awesome to watch! i especially loved Matthew Lillard's performance as Shaggy he did an outstanding job for his first time portraying the character!
Well did ya know that he actually stood in a mirror in his home and screamed for hours to get his voice that low to match Shaggy's actual voice from the cartoon.
@@somedudewhodraws9377 holy h*(/ that’s deduction
@@somedudewhodraws9377 I heard he screamed in his car before the audition lol
He also got yelled at by the Animated Casey Casem Shaggy in Looney Tunes back in action.
I'm excited to see him in the fnaf movie
This was the most unhinged movie ever, I can't help but love this movie unconditionally
Same
it was supposed to be more unhinged but the production companies cut a lot of scenes.
I guess you could say that it's a "Trip" of a film *Drops Mic to the sound of crickets*
@@bryana.escaleralopez It was also supposed to have a more mature rating, but the production company wanted to reach out to the younger audience hence many scenes being cut out or changed
@@ayannahf0702 My god, all the adult jokes that still made it.
I’m discovering things I missed 20 years ago. 🤣
Out of all the crazy sh*t packed into this movie, somehow Mr. Bean being included is at the top of it all
How, he’s an actor 💀
Mr. Bean has some wacky adventures
Every version of Velma is better than the latest one
Absolutely. It's like they're making the 2023 version of Velma purposely hated...
@@jarredbillings2332 i mean.... its possible...
I wonder if mainstream networks are purposely trying to destroy themselves
This Velma kinda fine tho...

I'm SO glad people who haven't seen these movies are finally seeing them. These two live action movies are STRAIGHT CHILDHOOD NOSTALGIA
For real!
I've seen this one, didn't know they had another one though
This movie was ahead of it's time. Our sense of humor wasn't developed for it when it came out. If this movie came out in the last six years it'd be hailed as a masterpiece of parody that took the piss but stayed true to the soul.
If you recognize the voice of the Velma in this movie, it’s because she plays HotDogWater in Mystery Inc
And Wendy in Gravity Falls
Idr Linda voiced hotdog water that’s amazing
@damien_warren, is this true
@@mrbear3853 Yes. She actually even appears in the show in live action too. During the Weirdmageddon arc, Wendy and Dipper drive through Bill's bubbles of madness and one of them briefly transforms the two into live-action versions of themselves. In that shot, Dipper and Wendy are just the VAs dressed as their characters.
And now Lylla in GOTG 3
The fact that the actors for Fred and Daphne are married in real life makes this movie even better
Shoutout to James Gunn for
1. Actually being the director for this
And 2. Killing Scrappy Doo for the rest of the franchise
James Gunn is the sole reason this movie slaps as hard as it does
And you can Thank James Gunn for creating the suicide squad sequel from 2021 that's better than the original film from 2016
Wasn't he just the writer?
@@PieroMinayaRojasHe was. A dude named Raja Gosnell directed this and Monsters Unleashed.
"This is such a weird concept for a movie"
This fits for almost any movie from the 2000s
If I recall right, this movie was the reason Scrappy hasn't seriously shown up in the series for two decades.
I do believe this movie was the last time Scrappy appeared as a character in Scooby. I could be wrong but if I am its not coming to me.
I believe it was his last appearance and here it was mainly to make fun of the character. I also believe he started disappearing because when they first introduced the character, he was a big hit and the production company took it overboard. Had him everywhere, with his own show, etc. To the point where he just became annoying to see
There’s the rumor that James Gunn (he directed the thing) had always hated Scrappy as a character, which is why he made it a complete asshole villain.
I mean Scrappy hadn't showed up for almost a decade and a half before the movie. So I don't think blaming the movie for his lack of appearances is accurate.
Scrappy does show up in Mystery Inc as a statue in the museum alongside Flim Flam and Fred says some shit like "Come on Daph, we promised we would never speak of him."
Fun fact: Tim Curry was originally going to play the robotic park owner, but he turned the role down because Scrappy-Doo was in the movie.
HAHAHA. ICON
No one likes Scrappy Doo, not even Mystery Inc themselves like him.
you guys have Scooby Doo Fever and im all in for it. Yall need to Watch the classic films as well: ZOmbie Island, The Witch's ghost, Cyberchase & the Alien Invaders. Yall will experience true peak
I still have memories of watching both live action Scooby Doo movies as a kid back in the day.
This channel just morphed into a Scooby Doo reaction channel and I'm all for it.
This movie will always be a classic, it was the start of the legend Matthew Lillard as Shaggy
One of my favorite jokes in this movie is a sign in the background of when they ditch scrappy that reads “yucca flats” a stretch of desert in Nevada that is considered the most irradiated places on earth they literally abandon him in a radioactive zone
Wait...why were they even driving through that....maybe they were high lol
I forgot how much of an acid trip this movie was. I also forgot that there was a sequel
There was?
@@MustacheDLuffy Yep. Monsters Unleashed in 2004. In my opinion it's even better than the first one.
I watched Monsters Unleashed the most when I was younger x3
The fact that this was Matthew Lillard's debut as Shaggy for the first time and the actress playing Velma went on to voice Hotdog Water in Mystery Inc. Makes this movie so much better.
Fun fact: the girl who played Velma in this movie voices hot dog water
And live action Fred voiced Kanan Jarrus from Star Wars Rebels.
And live action Daphne voices April O'Neal in TMNT 2007
Mr Bean secretly being a robot controlled by Scrappy Doo is one of the most unhinged plot twists of the franchise 😂
You can definitely see that this movie was supposed to have been a spoof of the series, but then they went and changed it to actually be a movie.
I've watched this movie so many times as a kid. It was and still is amazing.
All the adult jokes that I’m JUST now getting, 20 years later. 😳
Fun fact: Velma in this movie voices Hot Dog Water from Mystery Inc. She also voiced Wendy from Gravity Falls
Fun fact: this movie had a lot of "adult" scenes cut like the van smoking was actually Shaggy really smoking weed
My favorite conspiracy theory I've ever heard was that this movie was specifically made by James Gunn to be so bad, that Scrappy Doo would forever be a hated and unused mascot. It's a fact that he completely hated the character for a long time before its production, so its possible
It was also suppose to be rated pg-13 with a lot of "adult" jokes. But Warner Brothers had issues with it.
Petition to recreate this now with the most realistic cgi and acting
Yessss that would be awesome. Mr Bean has to reprise his role tho. He's awesome
Matthew was truly at his highest peak!

@@thepotatoe101 Too bad I can't say the exact same thing since Its' tradition to them at this point, plus the fact they could've used him Instead of his Uncle In HBO Max's Velma just to spite him even more!

For those who don't know, the live action velma voice acts hot-dog water in the Mystery Inc show
Also Shaggy Matthew Lilard
Love how Matthew Lillard continues to play Shaggy to this day. He has an amazing Shaggy voice
You know its fascinating that as Far as I Remember in every Scooby-Doo show the Ghosts/Monsters are Fake. Just someone in constume with special effects.
Yet for whatever reason in every movie the monsters, demons, Ghosts Are Real
I’m so glad the guy playing Shaggy is playing Willam Afton in the Fnaf movie
This was one of the first movies I ever saw in a movie theatre, so it holds a soft spot in my heart.
I love how this is basically a Scooby-Doo channel now! Bring on more Regular Show reactions too please
I still can't believe that Shaggy and William Afton have the same live action actor!😂
Yeah and I can't wait to see Matthew Lillard's performance as William afton in the FNAF movie
God I can't fucking wait to go see the FNAF movie
@@existing-is-pain yeah me too
This reply is a year late but also the first Ghost Face too!
You guys overlooked the joke at the beginning of Shaggy calling Fred the big banana of the group
And Fred going... Well ofcourse
Fun fact : Velma's actress is the one who voiced Hot dog water
"Hey now! Wait a minute, wait a minute-- Maybe I quit?"
A decade earlier and Fred is still the best character 🤣
My mom still has this on her VHS. Really gives you the early 2000's feeling whenever me and my mom rewatch this classic masterpiece on that. Plus kid me only remembered this movie as "The Scooby Doo movie with Mr Bean as the bad guy" because I thought this movie had some sort of wacky title. Yeah kid me wasn't very sharp.
Fun fact: for the original version of the five nights at Freddy's movie they were going to cast the actor who plays shaggy as william afton
My head canon is that the director for this movie purposely made it the way it was so that Scrappy would be permanently removed from the franchise, never to be seen again. Best part is that it worked!
Jesus watching you two put your brain cells together to figure out what mary jane meant and still not fully getting it is amazing I was dying so hard when he said "Oh cocaine" 🤣🤣
HELL YES WATCH THE SEQUEL!!!
crazy plot aside, this movie is well and truly amazing
it takes so much from the show
cartoon physics are in every scene, kids jokes and adult jokes. perfectly casted
and thats what i love about it!
FRIENDLY REMINDER
This 2000's cgi is still better than SheHulk and the newer Marvel movies cgi 😂
No, She hulk is better. It's just unevenly spread because she's in a TV show.
She Hulk is basically a Sit Com set in the MCU and should be treated no better and no worse.
One of her most famous issues in the comics had her Jump Roping naked for multiple pages, and another famous bit had her get in trouble for Photo Copying her ass ( "how could you tell it was me?" "It was a colored copy machine.")
I can't tell the difference.
And even the cgi in the star wars prequel trilogy aged better than the she hulk tv series
@rainygamedays5873 amen my brother
6:38 actually he was the only actor that hated it and got drunk on set lol.
Fun fact: Fred and Daphne are played by Husband and Wife Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar. This is, I think, their third movie together.
This movie is aggressively corny but it's so fun. And it was the start of Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, so good truly came out of this.
It’s great that everyone’s watching Scooby Doo it was a great bunch of shows and movies for kids to watch.
the Scooby Doo Movie is one of the pinnacles of Western cinema!!
This movie was part of my childhood and I loved it, it's such a classic and fun fact the actor who plays Shaggy is who took over in the animations as the voice.
Dude, I was dying from this 7:04 because I don’t even remember Fred said any of this😂.
"Is that his mom?"
That feels right.
Fun Fact Shaggy in this movie played the goofy kid who was also the killer in scream so
Lets say that Scream is canon to this universe and that Shaggy became unhinged
The Live Action movies are completely unhinged and its *glorious*
Fun Facts:
Matthew Lillard has periodically come back to voice Shaggy in animated projects ever since these movies
Mystery Inc. in particular features both him as Shaggy and Linda Cardelinni, who plays Velma, makes cameos as Hot Dog Water/Marcie
I spilled the milk every time I saw Velma as a kid 😆
Brah,
True.
what about the deleted cut scene of her and the nape scream ?
Is that a euphamism?
@@optillian4182 Yes.
There was a cut scene of this movie where Velma sings and dances and it was amazing. So disappointed they took it out
That sums up my childhood. Good job. You’ve watched everything I’ve ever watched as a child. Until we meet again.
They haven't watched *The Ring* yet
It's still wild that the actress of Velma in this plays Hot Dog Water in Mystery Inc
They really abandoned Scrappy in the desert. 😂
It was the most uplifting animal abandonment scene in cinema.
So no idea if you got this in the video (I’m only 3:48 in) but the actress here for Velma (Linda Cardellinj) is the voice of Hot Dog Water from Mystery Incorporated. Obviously showing homage to this movie by casting one of the best Velma’s as Velma’s best friend.
My aunt worked on this movie for a short time and she said that Matthew Lillard was really nice 😊
Did she really?
I'm here for the Scooby multiverse! Hope you watch the other Scooby Doo live action universe as well!
A couple more neat facts: the actors who play Daphne and Fred (Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.) are married in real life. Sarah also played the role of Buffy from Buffy the Vampire Slayer for years; so when Daphne says she knows Karate now it's from her side-hustle killing the undead 👍
Godammit i never realised they literally called Shaggy's love interest "Mary Jane"
For some reason you are the most problematic CZcamsr's I've ever watched, but you have a certain charm that I can't stop watching your videos.
Fun fact: Tim Curry was offered the role of Mondavarious but he turned it down when he heard Scrappy Doo would be in the movie...
For some reason I always get the the first two movies confused probably because the second movie feels more like classic scooby to me
3:12 By the way, the actor's name is Freddie Prinze Jr., and, last I remembered, he was married to Sarah Michelle Gellar (Daphne in this movie). No idea if they're still together. But Freddie (the actor) did get into cooking and made a book. I might be wrong. :V
Did you expect a movie based off of Scooby-Doo, a cartoon, to not be ridiculous?
Oh my gif, Monsters Unleashed was legit, can’t wait for that reaction
same! Can't wait until they find out it was filmed in Canada and the Masked Villain was Piccolo in DBZ... 😉
Honestly...these movies banged
Also I hope they eventually watch Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island.
I’ll never know if I like this movie honestly, but I will always love it
“ bisexual coding “ paired with a picture of a lesbian based Velma was the stupidest yet funniest thing I have ever seen
The outfits in this movie genuinely go so hard actually
The fact that Shaggy’s actor in this is going to play William Afton in the Fnaf movie is still funny for me.
I have really fond memories of these movies, and the actors/actresses they picked to play the gang are really good to me, especially Matthew Lillard as Shaggy
The brazilian dub for this movie is absolutely perfect
Those two scenes became classic memes in Brazil 7:04 10:12
You ever think about the fact that shaggy is gonna play William Afton
Please tell me why I’m laughing so much when points at Melvin Doo, I’m just laughing so hard cause not only is it some random dude. But he’s just standing there stone faced.
I find it amazing that the same actor that played Velma in this movie, is the same actor that voices hot dog water in mystery incorporated.
The fact that the actress that plays velma also playes hotdog water in mystery Inc is great
i havent watched this since i was like 6 years old so it was nice to watch you guys react to it:)
For those that don't know the guy who plays Shaggy in this movie is Matthew Lillard and before the audition he screamed in his car so that he could get his voice to better match Shaggy's and as a matter of fact he did so well that he ended up voicing Shaggy in the cartoons and is still Shaggy's current voice actor
Fun fact about this movie is it was filmed on a real island resort off the coast of Queensland Australia (where I happen to live 😄)
We all know the second one is a sure thing. Just the "scene" with Scooby-Doo and Shaggy will be great. We all know the one.
I CANT BELIEVE THEY CUT OUT THE PISS SCENE NOOOOOO
CZcams would've had a stroke bro 😂
I don’t remember…that
My favorite trivia from this film is how Tim Curry was supposed to be the villain, but he quit when he found out Scrappy would be in it.
I would quit for that reason too tbh
As weird as this and Monsters Unleashed were, you gotta give them credit for TRYING to pay respect to the Scooby-Doo franchise, unlike HBO Max's version.
this is Now a Scooby Doo Channel. and I am Ok with that. do all the other movies while your at it
iirc the director of this movie has a deep personal grudge against scrappy doo and made him the villain of the movie as anti-scrappy propaganda to tarnish his name so bad that he'd never appear in any other scooby doo products in the future. and it completely worked
... PERSONAL grudge? What the heck did the imaginary dog do to him?!?!
@@ShinyShilla be annoying? idk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The actor for Velma in this movie is the same as the voice actor of Hotdog Water in Mystery Incorporated.
Ah yes. The movie that character assassinated Scrappy Doo
Bro this movie is so nostalgic
It's funny them saying about it being corny and some shit acting n all
But Matthew has gone on to be THE 21st century voice of shaggy in animated content . . . prior to Velma ofcourse
And The actress playing Velma in these movies is the voice for ya girl Hot Dog Water!
I'm glad I wasn't the only one traumatized by this masterpiece hahaha
