How are you supposed to swim in the river now?

You're not. It's absurd. Don't get out of your kayak to stand knee-deep in water but jet skis and power boats are still allowed. They pointed to trash and a dead tree as the damage!
Shoreline erosion is natural, all rivers and streams reshape themselves constantly. Heavy rains and flooding would do more "damage" than people standing in the water.

I stopped going years ago when I saw the light blue spring turn green😪. It was nice to cool down and rest a little from the sun or get in the water when the horseflies were bothering. The people that rented the kayaks were always monitored from what they brought before entering the river. But those living next to the river weren't cause they had accessed from their houses. You can also see the area where there are houses it was super dark in the water.

It’s the MOTORBOATS that need to be controlled. Of course, they’re often driven by yahoos that have contempt for kayakers.

I was just there a few weeks ago. This is a precious place that cannot be ruined by people over running it. It must be protected.
If Ron DeSantis had his way, there would be a Publix Supermarket right in the middle of it, with a Chick Fil A. Both of those companies are owned by rabig right wingers who think a manicured golf course is the wilderness.
