this magneto figure - looks like an articulated bar of ivory soap ;)
I can look passed them not including the panels lines on the sides of his body, but I'm pretty disappointed that they missed the 2 black lines that should be above his shins (similar to Cyclops' but go around the leg fully). I feel like this small detail would go a long way into making this figure look less bland by breaking up all that white on the legs.
I feel like Hasbro cheap'd out & did the absolute least possible that they could get away with on this wave which is unfortunate, because I really loved the House of X & Powers of X 12-issue story by Jonathon Hickman. If you're an X-Men fan, it's definitely up there with the top X-Men stories of all time IMO so I still picked up the entire wave, but mostly for subjective reasons.
Anyways, I'm glad you're finally reviewing this wave & great stuff as always!
My favorite version of Magneto is the X Men Evolution Animated Style. I thought it was pretty cool and gave him a more onslaught motif.
Classic red and purple although I would love to see that version of him from the infamous Jim Lee X-Men #1, where in one panel he is shown with the all purple costume with the white M going down the middle.
I picked it up solely for the hands, which are being dyed yellow and being used for a Savage Opress custom. The rest may he useful for a future custom, it go on eBay as fodder
Loved the video, as always! I may start to get into those House of X figures, maybe.
My favorite version of Magneto is the black and purple costume he wore during the "Search for Cyclops" story arc, after "Apocalypse The Twelve", which were the stories that came before Morrison's New X-Men. But the red and purple is too classic, and it's true that they still haven't released a great figure of that one.
Hi Anthony, just wanted to point out that the belts (Cyplocs’ and Magneto’s) are not the same, they are different molds.
You're probably right. I did not film both videos at the same time so I could have been remembering incorrectly.

This is my favorite Legends Magneto for sure. The long hair Magneto head looks great on it.

This release needed energy effects. Yes I can snag a set from a different figure but I should not have to. Don't get the logic behind the accessories sometimes with Hasbro. I got that new exclusive Nova... also no energy effects and given the lack of BAF piece should have been a slam dunk add in.

I completely agree that there should be the same details that appear on Magneto's flanks and knees on this figure that is seen on the side of packaging which is the same as in the comics. They're leaving off details that make the suit so good. I was bummed to see that there wasn't the ribbed design on his flanks. Really bummed actually. I still prefer the classic red and purple suit. Which I'm convinced we'll never see a decent version of from the Legends series. Its freaking Magneto! Get it together Hasbro!!!

It’s kinda weird that the people at Hasbro make good figures of magneto’s other versions but they make bad figures of his classic version
I wish this was his white sleeveless look from his short lived solo comic. It was great while it lasted.

I do like the proportions, they remind me to Michael Fassbender's and that's NICE since I'm a SUCKER for him as an Actor, Yeah it is indeed really nice. Although the Figure is still TRASH, NO DEBATE ABOUT THAT, too mucho detail they didn't even try to do. The different white it uses on it's arms and chest is A HUNDRED PERCENT noticeable, I hate molded cape for Magneto since he is an Even better character and villain than the guy Dr. doom himself, so they really don't give him enough LOVE. ERIK DESERVES BETTER... YEAH, that's my point.

Toy Biz X-Men Classics 2006 Series 1 > Magneto action figure ...would probably be my favorite....but agree have yet to see one that just makes me go now that's perfection
