- Karwar Style Kalingana Polo | Watermelon Rind Dosa - Breakfast Recipe
Watermelon is a delicious and refreshing fruit. It contains only 46 calories per cup but is high in vitamin C, vitamin A, and many healthy plant compounds. Recipes like watermelon rind dosa have a natural appeal for Indians who love to recycle everything to the last bit.
The watermelon rind dosa uses parts of the watermelon that would otherwise be discarded that is the white part that is not as sweet as the pink. But that white part is edible, and it is packed with several vitamins. So why waste it? The dosa itself has the refreshing, unmistakable flavour of watermelon and is quite addictive. These dosas are so flavourful with a smell and taste from watermelons.
The watermelon rind dosas are easy to prepare with minimal ingredients available in our pantry. We do use this rind in sambar if it is very bland. We also use fruits like cucumber, jackfruit and muskmelon to make dosas.
List of Ingredients
1 glass of raw rice
1 cup grated coconut
1 1/2 cup of water melon rind
Jaggery as per taste
Salt as per taste
5 tbsp of cooked rice - Krátké a kreslené filmy
Something innovative and healthy.
These are seasonal dosas. Good summer recipe. Must try.
My mom used to make a variety of dosas with seasonal fruits. like bananas, jackfruits, some fried, and some of them steamed. You brought back memories.
