When you are depressed it feels like its always been this way and always will be this way. I started keeping a journal or sorts where i write down happy memories and moments in my life, even if they are small. When I feel like shit I'll go through and try to relive the small happy memories I get as a reminder that life isn't bad all the time, it just feels that way in your own head.

I don't want to convert you to Christianity, but I think you could find happines or purpose in something like religion, or even if you are an atheist, you can look at a flower or something and think to your self how fortunet you are to co exist in the same univers as such a beautiful creation (regardelss of who or what created it).
