It might have something to do with the 20 second decay time reverb that's piped into the microphone. Everything sounds better with reverb. That's why you can sing in the shower.
The reason is because it's specifically a written torah and not taught by heart , it written down the same way it was by Moses ,on parchment and a specific ink, could only be copied by a certified scribe and from a privious torah. When reading from inside the scroll its clear to everyone what hes reading. ( there is the oral torah which shouldn't be written down)

Torah and bible are words of ahlul kitab. In them may be some exerpts of god's words, exerpts of words of their prophets, and the rest are their own words. Just like hadith matan but without sanad لَا تُصِدِّقُوا أَهْلَ الْكِتَابَ وَلَا تُكَذِّبُوهُمْ ... _Don't take them as true but also don't deny them_ ... H.R. Bukhari from abu hurayra
