These videos just confirm that I am useless. I admire your work greatly, well done mate.
Marmota is not in this business for simple builds, I love his craft for it. Super talented.
It is so refreshing to see a maker that doesn't have a shop full to expensive tool and yet makes the most delightful projects.
Не думаю,что показанные инструменты дешёвые! А результат действительно превосходный!
Complex builds with simple equipment
It is not necessary to have the best equipment to do good work... But I would be lying if I said that I wouldn't like to have the best tools, they make everything easier.
In quilting this shape is called the “apple core”! Would love to see more quilt/sewing shapes in your projects!
Thank you! The truth is, I have no idea about quilting either. I will search for it, maybe I'll come up with some ideas.
There really is a lot of quilt patterns that can might translate well into a table. Log cabin could be a good scrap wood project, though you probably want to reinforce it from the bottom just in case. Drunkards path could be really cool.
Great design and craftmanship, as always. No stain was a good decision.
Thank you! At the moment, almost everyone agrees that not staining it has been the best decision.
You have crafted a beautiful table from old wooden beams. Wood is my favourite material for furniture and I enjoyed watching your work. Such a piece could be made into a headboard for a bed. That would be a very unique bed indeed!
Absolutely love it. Idk what it is about the design but it’s so cool! Whimsical like out of a story book. Absolutely beautiful work. And the natural tone was by far the best choice
Beautiful table,it's nice to see a craftsman without costly machinery put out a product such as this!
This is the type of project I would aspire to if I had access to the workshop and tools, although I would run into impatience with all the cutting and sanding roughly five blocks in 😂
The finished table is beautiful - great choice on the natural finish and the steel legs too.
Might have a little daydream and imagine that in my home. ☺
@@marmotaworks I could only dream right now... but in the future, who knows... ☺
Wow, what an awesome project, it turned out really nice. I think you made the right choice leaving it natural.
That was a really nice job - a reward for the huge number of hours getting from raw lumber to finished product.
I love your products. The slits in the original log made an interesting accent, along with the shape you decided. Pretty cool.
I like the stain. Gives it a depth
This is wonderfully inventive, using the grain of the wood. Just beautiful.
This is such a great looking table and feels approachable. I'm for sure going to be taking inspiration from this!
Love how you go out of the box creatively. This table looks like it was sewn together, in hoe the cracks line up. Love it
Without Stain looks prettier to me. Awesome table! Would be great in a sewing room. Would inspire you to keep quilting 🙂
Natural wood was a good choice👍 Table looks beautiful you did a great job
I like it. I've been thinking about how you could make it efficiently using a CNC.
The best way I can think is to cut the blocks off. Then to screw them into a plank of wood with two screws. The bottom will be the bottom.
Now you can put that on the CNC, and hold the plank down. Now you can shape the sides, and get all top sides flat and to the same thickness.
Repeat until you have the required number of blocks.
Check out "Penrose Tilling". There's a shortish article on Wikipedia.
Some of those tilings, coupled with your end grain slices, plus epoxy could be very beautiful.
The English woodworkers used to Oyster Veneer, with similar effects.
But for some of these patterns, CNC cutting of the shape strikes me as a good choice.
I've another question. Stength. I notice in one of your projects you re-inforced underneath with steel. What was your decision process on that? Were you assuming wood was weaker that epoxy, or the boundary? How many pieces can you have before you need to reinforce?

Just found your channel. What I love is the wood growth circles in each piece. Thanks for your unique ideas.
Wow.. I liked the natural look better than stained. I really like the tessellation pattern.
You are the wood god! You are incredible, you work is beautiful.thank you for letting g is watch.
Thank you for watching! From now on, I'll tell my friends to call me the wood God... 😂.
By the way, do you prefer the table without stain?
Absolutely beautiful, and I believe you can’t go wrong with natural! Just like God made it. :) thank you so much for sharing
It’s looks like a bunch of stitches and it seems to have movement. I just took my meds so.. lol. Awesome.
Beautiful...so see the Beauty in a fire wood..and turn it into something for a person to treasure is truly a gift. thank you for sharing.
Third video of yours I've come across. I'm not sure why you showed up in my feed, but I'm sure glad you did. Your work is amazing!
Great video and even better table, excellent job. You've got me as a new subscriber! Looking forward to seeing more of your work
I think the beauty is in the curved cuts and the end grain. I think it looked great but would have looked just as good with the stain as well
Thank you, I also think it would have looked nice. But almost everyone prefers it natural.
This is Soooo Beautiful! Great skill and care to details, thank you for sharing
I like it!! That’s a lot of work but the outcome is great! Always go with natural color!
You put in many hours of work. It turned out beautiful. (Natural looks best).
omg that is, that is amazing brother. what you did is very high quality. appreciate it😍😍😍🥰
Love the natural.
I would like to see a time line included in the videos. I cannot imagine how boring the repetitiveness becomes.
I'll keep the timeline in mind. Yes, it has been quite tedious and repetitive to do it. I hope it was worth it.
Imagine a restaurant/bar owner coming up and saying "I want 20 of those please!"
this is sooo incredible! good work, I wouldve gone with stained
Thanks! You are the first one to choose stained, but it was a difficult decision. I think both would have looked good.
Simply FANTASTIC..... Good work dude... your hard work and dedication is highly appreciated and respected... Good luck and God Bless....
Absolutely beautiful!!! Who to have your talent...I'm a bit jealous!
Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your nice words.
Can I ask you, Do you prefer natural or stained?
@@marmotaworks at first I thought I'd like the stain but the natural was the perfect choice! It's beautiful!
This is stunning, I'm glad you stayed with the non-stained wood, just the finish.
Thank you. Almost everybody prefer the non-stained wood
