I like how people think candytale is all cutesy and fun to be,but this is actually like an au of swaptale,it's actually messed up,instead of killing them frisk went full on eating EVERYONE

Mabye try underlust, after the original creator gave thr characters more depth and character and gave the au up to the community because it was more healthy (he wasn't in the right place and I hear he created a lot of nsfw, he doesn't wanna be assosciated with underlust)

It kind of sounds like a reference to the actual story of *Candytale* the dark story behind in such a *Sweet Taste,* the story is based off maybe some cannibalism reference but instead eat other people, there are some theory's that frisk instead eats the monsters instead of killing them, because they are candy.
Another theory is that mostly with monsters with their same kind is that they can be cannibalistic to each other, their food is their own, they cannot produce anymore food from what taste they want, they want themselves.
There's also more theory's that darkens this AU more but there is also one thing I theorise about it, the thing is that I think this maybe be a reverse *Horrortale* game mixed with Swaptale or Underswap, where everything is *Sweet* in the outside but dark on the inside.
(Some of these maybe inspired or used by comments I read here so, no I didn't copy I just took inspiration and made this to a whole theory board out of them.)

So, I’ve never played Undertale, but I have played Deltarune. I’m pretty sure they have similar stories and characters, and this au seems really cool. I keep on seeing this in my recommendation page, and it’s worth it watching it all these thousands of times. Amazing work.
Deltarune has some of the characters from undertale in different roles(except sans, he just doesn't change at all) but aside from that not really, the only similarity i've seen was with the heart mechanic(and obviously the fact humans and monsters live in the same world)

i wish all of the sources for candytale were still up but the creator disappeared entirely and everything was deleted very slowly :( i wish i screenshotted the posttype before it was taken down but at least i got alphys and a concept for mettaton's battle preserved (yes the concept IS in fact that he is slowly eaten during battle). i couldn't remember napstablook's design and i didn't screenshot it so i'm very happy this was here :) i needed something to work off for my reimagining (since i wish this au could be brought back to its full glory). such a pain that a lot of the concepts for this au are lost media now. sincerely one of my favorites, especially due to this video and me finding the posttype in the comments here
