- This has to be one of the best days of my trainspotting days. Today I visited York Station on the East Coast Mainline to see a world famous event taking place, a 125 HST, 225 Intercity Set, Azuma and The Flying Scotsman all pulling into York to celebrate this momentous occasion

Only just come across this video for some reason fantastic video loved the tones it seemed like a special event as the station was jammed packed
A slice of history there, unlikely to be repeated anytime soon - and you were there! What a great sight and sound, and good weather too. Superb.
I was ever so lucky to have been there to witness this event take place before my eyes, its something that I'm never going to forget
that 225 set had a fantastic tone
Again another excellent video, great work.
Thanks ever so much for saying so
Such an amazing site. Generations of intercity travel in the east coast
It was a day I'm not going to be forgetting anytime soon
Brilliant Video Jarred, you were very lucky to see them all 😊
Thanks very much mate I am very fortunate to have been there to witness this

Amazing tones
IT was a fantastic day out
Awesome video!
thanks very much
You're welcome!
I was there on the other side I live near York and I thought it is a kind thing to do for old and the new trains to reunite together
It was an excellent day out, something I'm very glad that I was able to witness
it's heaven
most definitely
What's it just me or did the flying Scotsman horn sound like bagpipes
Yes I know there were bagpipes playing but it was definitely the horn
I wasn't the horn mate
Tornado922 ok then 😐
Flying Scotsman hasn't got a horn. It has a whistle.
ummm I think it was the azuma which was behind him
The famous 6!
You are indeed quite right
excellent video
thanks very much
Tornado922 your very welcome
Awesome
It was a great day
Tornado922 looked it
Was this organised or was it completely by chance, that all 4 trains came in at the same time?
This was an organised event
Not the Azuma though
Famous 5 ;)
if you want to be technical about it ;)
Callum LTFC true there was a deltic
I thought it was you I saw, just wasn't sure 😄
You should've come over and said something lol

JD the Trainspotter Deltic is on the rear of the Flying Scotsman Jaime watch closely
South London Railway Photography but then the 800 would still be there
800s aren't horrible. But the Deltic was actually the longest serving train on there and not even at the front XD
JD the Trainspotter definitely
Oh yes great day here
You know it mate ;)
Your luck i wish i could have seen that
It was an incredible experience
Tornado922 i bet it was
Plymouth
huh?
Great video mate. Shame the Deltic was on the rear. They could have had it pulling something. Nothing famous about that rubbish from Hitachi though!
I've seen a lot of mixed reactions to the Deltic being on the rear of the Scotsman, if the line were 5 tracks wide I think they would've deeply considered doing it
I think the Deltic should have taken prime spot over the Hitachi rubbish as it hasn't exactly proved itself yet and bearing in mind it's not a patch on the HST and 91+MK4 stock, it's a bit of a joke really.
The whole point was to show off the new trains. Without the Hitachi, there would be no event at all.
Not into the Flying Scotsman unfortunately but the Azuma and the other VTEC Trains looked awesome.
Each to their own as the old saying goes, all 4 trains were a sight to see and I'm very fortunate to have been there to witness this day unfold
