- In this speedpaint I discuss using elements in your art that tie them together and help you "find your style". I talk through some of the storytelling elements in my piece and their connection to myths and tales from scotland.

Beautifully done and love the story
So beautiful, I love to here you explain the mythology and stories of Scotland because I left in 1981 to emigrate to Australia so I love to paint and I love to listen and be reminded. Thank you
Laurain Cooper aww thank you! I hope I don’t make you homesick!
Lovely softness to your art. Interesting to hear about Scotland. Great ideas about finding my style.
This was just beautiful Lucy. I loved every second - watching you work, listening to your stories, and the music. Don't change a thing ♥️

Mesmerizing!!!

Thank you Lucy, this video was very inspirational. I love the stories that you tell. I think a combination of story telling in some videos and instruction in some videos would be so wonderful.

I love, love, love hearing the legends from Scotland! My dream travel spot! ONE DAY I will see that gorgeous country that my family is from. HEHE! So glad Karen pointed you out to so many of us. Gorgeous painting as always!
CarolinaGirl CreationZ thanks so much! Scotland is beautiful you will have to come one day!
The painting is lovely, and I really enjoyed the story too! I would like more Scottish legends as well as technique tips, and your gelli printing videos are great too. I've shared a couple of these on Pintrest for my records, as well as the enjoyment of others. I'd love to see your channel grow!
Marlene Kluper thank you so much! ❤️
What a beautiful video Lucy. I struggle a lot with finding my voice in my own art. I live in Australia and we don't have ancient legends like your beautiful Scottish stories, which I love. Thank you for your stories and instruction in your videos. They are great inspiration
Julie Dennis thank you so much! Maybe you could look into the stories that come from the country that your family originally came from!
@@LucyBrydonArt not a bad idea. They were farm labourers in Somerset in England. Not very glamourous. Lol. Something to work with though. Thankyou
Not like Scotland, but your country of Australia does have Aboriginal folklore though, there are several stories like the Rainbow Serpant. The Aborigines go back 4000 years or so ago. So your country does have ancient legends and folk lore from its native people.
Perhaps there are some tales that could inspire you.
There's also plenty of Folklore of Ancient England.
There's folktales of Somerset, mythical stories about things such as dragons etc. There's a book on them.
