I miss the funny videos and stuff, but the negatives of TikTok definitely outweighed the positives for me. Iâm sorry youâre struggling with it too, itâs so consuming and tricky. But know you never need to compare yourself to anyone, even though it feels almost impossible not to, because you are so unique and beautiful, inside and out. I loved this video! I deleted every social I have except CZcams/Pinterest and let me tell you it literally changed my life. It stopped the aimless scrolling, stopped the comparisons, and allowed me to go out and enjoy my time without feeling obligated to get a picture for instagram or snapchat. It even decreased some anxiety in me because I wasn't constantly thinking about what other people thought of me. It helps you live in the moment more and when you take that detox and step back you actually realize how much its frying everybody's brains and their obligation to not enjoy themselves because they need to update their socials on every move they make. It's very sad but I truly recommend it for everyone. It's very hard at first but you'll never want to go back after!! Trust

Honestly Carys I never had tik tok and I canât imagine having it from all the experience I hear my loved ones have because it really is so damaging to our brains itâs crazy. But I also stopped posting on my instagram and archived all my personal pictures and try to only spend 5 minutes or so on there now and it has helped me so incredibly much. I donât feel pressure to take a picture when I look nice or post the pictures I do take. I would really recommend taking at least a serious break from social media ( not CZcams ofc! â€ïž) and being strict on yourself and seeing how you feel because for me itâs a life changer honestly.

im a girl as well whoâs also 18 and in college, and honestly i deleted tiktok and instagram around may 2022 and i havenât looked back since, it is so healing especially with tiktok, even though i didnât know the âtrending musicâ or the exact clothing trends it doesnât make much of a difference to my life, except that i feel more at peace now!! of course with insecurities youâre always going to compare yourself to somebody else at some point, but tiktok makes you unnecessarily do so and thatâs horrible!! tiktok is a bad app in general but especially when concerning insecurities, it is really really worth deleting (instagram less so as you can communicate with friends better and itâs less about sharing your body/beauty/etc and more abt sharing experience imo) but yeh if ur thinking abt deleting tiktok do it!! you might miss it and feel like youâre reaching for something you cant grab at first, but that passes and in the end itâs so healing to ur mental health đ€

I used to use AVRIL. Itâs quite good but use moisturizer with the cleanser or it will dry out your skin a little xx.
